Omg. I finally found someone who’s actually using a calligraphy pen, I just got a set and every single tutorial I find is only using normal pens and I can’t find any using calligraphy pens. Thank you!
A very good tutorial, I have finally found a video that has a really good teacher, and someone that actually uses a proper calligraphy pen, thank you so much for this 😊😊😊
Thankyou, I found this tutorial really helpful, your teaching style is easy to understand and follow, you make the process look 'easy', so may watch over and over and I will check out you channel further. Many thanks 😊
Hi there, I enjoyed the video. In the same way that you did the cross bar of the 'T' to give it the correct width before adding the down stroke it's also a good idea to do the down strokes of the 'H' and 'N' at the correct width and then connect them so they aren't too wide or narrow. Looking forward to viewing more.
I’ve been watching lots of videos on writing yeh last few days. This is my first on your channel. I think I like this style most. I don’t write cursive and I’m most comfortable with broad pens and fountain pens. Will watch more from your channel to learn about this style. Thank you 🙏 Btw, May I suggest to tone down the music a little. Can’t mute coz I won’t hear your instruction.
@@VivianUang Way back in 1968, aged 7, I was taught to write using an italic nib and an ink well. Since then, I've never been able to write decent cursive. Now I'm trying to write a film title in a passable 'Celtic' style. Your video is taking me back there! Thanks again.
Nice explanation............ But it's not the 45 or 30 degree angle for the thinnest lines....it's somewhere around 60 / 70 degrees slant that most of the calligraphers prefer for Italic
Hi! I have a playlist for brush pen calligraphy, you can check it out here: ruclips.net/p/PLVQZS1pWF_5lgHeVQt6hFsu1OjS3cJued My gothic style is not that great, need a lot more practice :P
Is the appearance of one letter always the same regardless of the letter that follows it? Or does its own font change according to the alphabet before and after?
Lol it doesnt matter which goes 1st. She can start the alphabet backwards and her point or the point of this video woukd still be the same. She's just showing us how to write every letter leaving it to us to do what we want with these. You can make a poster, a letter, or a poem at the end they will all have the same font or letter shapes and style. And the n being before or after wouldn't change a thing on my spelling lol
I am not sure what type of marker you are talking about, but I have another video explaining the different calligraphy pens you can check it out: ruclips.net/video/hg4H8pRupnc/видео.html
@ it’s just a link to lots of different nibs. I was wanting to know what is the actual nib you were using. It would have been easier to just tell us your nib instead of referring to your link.
That index finger, hurts to look at how tight it is! My issue is ink flow, which is perfect with pointer pens, but way too generous with broad tips. Any tips?
lol, my mom said the same thing about my finger, but it's just how my finger bent naturally. Regarding the ink flow issue, here are things you can try: 1. Prop up your writing surface so you are writing on a slight slope/angle 2. Try a different ink 3. add gum arabic to your ink to adjust the viscosity I hope these help!
well, those are two very broad and vague terms. Formata and Corsiva are the Italian words for Form and Cursive. And to talk about the difference can easily turn into a book... :D
I've tried. It doesn't work. Acrylic is too thick by itself, and watering it down makes it lose a lot of it's opacity and color. Can also ruin your pen too if you don't clean it soon enough. I learned the hard way lol.
Yes, the benefit of using a nib pen is that you can try out different ink. You might need to add some water to dilute it a little so it flows better, I found sumi ink a little too thick. Just make sure you wash the nib afterward. Check out this video for more explanation ruclips.net/video/ujnFZSGHeU4/видео.html

Good question
very beautiful, have you ever made calligraphy on coated recycled paper
No I have not :)
Thank you for ur video
Good video and well explained. Just need to put the 'm' before the 'n'. :)
obviously, you had the sound off.

She clearly states she is purposefully doing the n before m to show that the m is formed by combining 2 n’s. So if you can do n you can do m.
@@VivianUang some people have ears but they can’t listen it’s kinda sad if you ask me
😅
Am I the only one who noticed the Capital E missing? Lol So beautiful tho!
this is so helpful🥰
Excellent 👍🏻
Thank you so much!
Great skill of calligraphic writing, my question is" must I use a specific or special pen like yours to learn the calligraphic handwriting??
Yes, for Italic hand you'd need a broad edge calligraphy pen.
_hi there i wanna say that this was an amazing video_
Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoy them!
Please share about where you got your guide sheet. Is it meant for 2mm?
I make my own guide sheet, you can check it out in this video ruclips.net/video/ujnFZSGHeU4/видео.html

So cool.. Thank you x

Well done

How to clean the ink dirt in moblique holder. Thanks in advance
You can wash it with soap and water, the important thing is that you dry them completely after cleaning to prevent rusting!
It looks easy when one is right-handed. What about us left-wingers?
Happy calligraphy day. 🙏🙏🙏
I have speed ball c nibs and how to use them?
Where is capital E?
Idk if my eyes are playing tricks on me but are only the lower case letters suppose to be slanted.
My great grandfather knew how to write italic and am trying to carry the tradition
Hi Vivian what nib is that. I don’t think it’s with the link you referred to.
All the supplies are in the description above 😊
@ it’s just a link to lots of different nibs. I was wanting to know what is the actual nib you were using. It would have been easier to just tell us your nib instead of referring to your link.
@jezinperth1 As I said in the video, I was using a Brause #2 nib.

Beautiful ✨✨✨
Thank you!
Where did you get the pen?
Genial!!!!....Muchas Gracias!!!!
Good vidio, i like it
Thank you very much
How can or where can i get that calligraphy pen and what it is called? Is it in 1 set or i have to buy it separate?

I can't find it. I type that and it gives me other type of bibs. Is on Amazon or what website?
Very good. Thanks

In Italy that writing is not called "italic" (italico?) but "corsivo" and it's not common.
