That's why i like the 2.1 zeb vs the charger 3. I haven't tried the charger 3.1 because i think its a waste of money. From my experience, the 2.1 is more responsive than the charger 3.
Would like to hear your opinion and see the test of zeb 3.1 damper. I just got mine afrer upgrade from 3 to 3.1 with bushings calibration and dang, best zeb I've ever had. 100kg, 70psi, all compression open, 8 clicks of rebound so plush from the start, I felt in love again with my ransom eride how it rides now with 3.1 damper, nothing close to 3 or it's just placebo idk, but feels amazing.
I’ll pick one up eventually, I use almost the identical setting you just said in the 3. It’s not placebo. Sounds like the fox dampers. I went back to the old fox and was like trash. Then forget about it in a day
I have a Revel Rail27 with the push and feel pretty much exactly the same. It eats up rocks but feels dead on fun flowy trails. Pretty much tailor made for Colorado jank.
Running a 550lb spring would have gave you more pop but the rebound would be even faster. Could fix that with a lighter rebound shim stack. yeah rebound and compression are going to be way off since it's tuned for a 120lb rider.
I don’t know if the 550 pound spring would’ve worked because there’s so much compression thingies built into the shock. I debated putting it on, but unfortunately it was a nightmare to fit that in the back in the bike I doubt there’s any custom compression tuning built into the shock. It’s all main piston tunes.
I wanted one but my local specialist isn't really impressed with Push since they won't customize the shim stack of a shock you purchased for another application, also mention about the fact it's not more sophisticated than a van or bomber CR and the "custom" internals aren't that custom if you believe the guy... apparently... That's a job for the Otter I guess 😅
A few of my buddies are bike mechanics and they love suspension. They said the same thing as well as how out of the 5 push shocks they have installed 4 of them have been nothing but trouble
To clarify my speculation it is mono tube like the bomber. And for sure has custom main piston tune, since these types of shocks don’t allow much rebound range adjustment.
@ was it the S tune? I’d recommend riding their newest variation vs riding a shock that’s 100lbs off of your tune, with a completely different spring. I’ve ridden the new S tune and it’s pretty awesome. Still has the magic carpet traction the R did but much more of platform to push off of and get air time. The Storia V3 Lok does have a little more feedback, so you have a good idea of what you’re riding over and ready to pop whenever but that S tune is world class. It’s all subjective I guess, because I have very different experience, on the EXT Eea fork V2 also. I think that’s the best feeling fork on the market bar none. The combo of how plush yet still tons of midstroke support is mind blowing. Levels beyond the 38 or Zeb ultimate.
pardon my maths, I'm kinda lost, when comparing ifp and bladder. 4lbs of seal drag from piston glide + 3lbs from ifp and 8lbs from piston glide + 1lbs from bladder. But where did the 8lbs piston glide comes from in direct comparison?. Shouldn't it be 4lbs of seal drag from piston glide + 1lbs from bladder instead?

A really good damper and a bladder is better than a really good damper and an internal floating piston Bladders are far superior in coil application. (Not so much in forks or air shocks) That’s the part Push and Vorsprung don’t understand. They are engineering nerds who get hung up in dyno data

I saw the headline, and understand MONEY BUYS SPEED because my riding sucks so I have to compensate. So PUSH tells owners send in the shock yearly for warranty. If it's that durable why send it in yearly like EXT? I've ridden PUSH. It's a good shock. I bought EXT, and it's by far different in a better way.
you are saying in the video at 3:15, "extremely slow response rate"? That refers to the way the shock is built with an IFP piston....and that it does impact response rate. Again and again IFP vs bladder has nothing to do with with how the shock performs. I do not know what you mean with response rate either? Explain.....
It actually does have a huge bearing on how it rides. While the Dyno data shows very little difference between bladder and IFP. The bladder allows easier transition from compression to rebound. A IFP has to physically change direction there for having slower response rate to riders input on the bike. The oversized IFP of the 11-6 compounds this slow response rate. Ride a bladder ext or DvO then jump on a 11-6 then get back to me 🥂 and we can talk

Actually the bladder shock (e-storia) feels a bit more firm initially vs the IFP (Storia). This has nothing probably to do with diameter of the piston that is smaller on the e-storia.
That is the reason I went bladder crazy. Storia v3 IFP then jumped to v3-s bladder. Couldn’t figure out why it was so much better. Come on dog Ohlins use a bladder in their coil, and not air shock. I can’t tell a bladder from IFP on air shock but coil yes

And the video are about if tune of the shock has something to say, when you later in the video says that the rebound is not good enough, and has something to say with monoshocks? The tune has with the rebound, and should be set up for the rider weight and the spring rate, and frame. YOU have a shock from a different rider (weight) and frame?

It’s an auto pilot feature built into the shock that adds in high levels of compression when there is high shaft speeds or something like that, so I’m calling it. Auto pilot. Custom tunes matter when it comes down to mono tube shocks Custom tunes do not matter when you have a twin tube shock As Ohlins can build an air and coil shock that I can pull out of the box and ride when I am big guy, in the big picture custom tunes are not really necessary for most sophisticated shocks

A hydraulic bottom out is a piston hitting a cylinder in the end of the stroke. That is it, no more no less. If you have adjustment of the HBO you can adjust the hydraulic flow out of these cylinder with an adjuster screw. Ohlins also comes with tunes for their twin tube designs both in shocks and forks, so I do not mean what you are saying about custom tuning does not apply for twin tube shocks? I was referring to the Push shock you had, about the custom tune that you said did not apply to your weight and frame? Yes it will matter, and the rebound you did not like, have probably to do with the tune set up wrong.

It’s so far ahead of the competition. Comes with a bunch of air spacers didn’t have to adjust anything done.

I rode the custom tuned shock before and made more videos. So with a good foundational experience, there is only a slight difference in rebound tune.
