Fun Fact: The Norwegian director André Øvredal was inspired to do a horror movie after attending a screening of The Conjuring (2013). He immediately called his agent and told them that they should try and find a good horror script for him.
Herbology Enthusiast Fact: Jimson Weed (Datura Stramonium) is believed to have originated in Mexico, not New England, and can be found throughout the United States and the rest of the world. The plant also has no paralytic properties, though ingesting it can cause seizures, strong hallucinations, delirium, tachycardia, hyperthermia (high body temperature), mydriasis (dilated pupils), bizarre behavior, and death.
Professional Actress Fact: Although there are some prosthetics used, the role of the naked corpse, for the most part was played by actress Olwen Catherine Kelly. André Øvredal felt that it was necessary to have a live actress for the part to help connect the audience on a human level. On some level the decision was also a practical one as Øvredal believes that doing some of the close up scenes with a prosthetic would've been impossible.
using a live actress also lends to the whole... surreal aspect of: is she actually alive or not. such a great movie

This movie is one of my favorites. And if you get deep about it a great analogy for trauma. She held in her secrets and pain, but by doing so ended up hurting innocent people around her. Awesome reaction. “Alright roll credits we leave, and never find out whatever the f that is” 🤣

Reminds me of “The Books of Blood” by Clive Barker, well, it’s a series, but a story in The Books of Blood, I guess
LOVED your reaction! I was dying every time you said, "roll credits". I think you would enjoy "Hell House, LLC"- it was a great found footage film that was a lot better and more interesting than I expected (I never expect much from those). I went in knowing nothing about it, like this movie, and was very pleasantly surprised!

I really enjoyed this movie, one late night I just stumbled across it and watched it alone 🍿 when a movie chooses to have such a small cast it really is going to depend on who that cast is, I have always loved Brian Cox as an actor and I had never seen the younger actor before but I think he did excellent job 👍 just a nice scary movie

If you haven't seen it yet , I'd also recommend " 30 Days of Night " with Josh Hartnett ( which in my opinion is the best vampire movie next to Interview With The Vampire ) .
Also ," Jeepers Creepers " with Justin Long (which is a classic lol)
and " Constantine " with Keanu Reeves . Just mentioning Keanu Reeves says it all about the film 😂. Classic !!!!
Lastly , " The Amityville Horror " with Ryan Reynolds . Now that was good as sh*t 😮😮😮.

Someone said this was a great representation of what a female victim goes through (why female, I mean, it's the commonly known reaction to the experience). She tells her male audience over and over until she loses it and decides to show them what she went through, giving them no mercy, promising escape only to withdraw the plank so she falls to her death, feet from freedom.
I felt it was harshly put but I mean, it quietly whispers it to me as a woman. If I were a witch...how would you really punish the guilty? If you were innocent, would you be willing to be swayed through the process to choose a different faith...(I don't agree...I'm suggesting that they were killing odd, rich women and men in Salem-why would you stay with Christianity if the Devil saved her undead self,) LMFAO, and that's why you don't make deals with devils...they probably created the law profession.
