@@ProfessorBulletMGyeah it looks like a worsening case of cutis verticis gyratus to me. Poor guy. Its mainly cosmetic though usually, but thats not nothing especially in his industry.
Matt is super cool- met him a loooonngg time ago and played beer pong with him. Stand up guy and great company to be around. YT recommending this vid popped that memory back in my head. Great to see you healthy and teaching ☕️☕️
As a former wrestler for about 20 years that isn’t a arm drag takedown. It’s a arm drag setup to a trip or leg takedown. Further,it’s very easy to counter, I did it all the time. Don’t get upset, I fully admit I wouldn’t stand a chance against you in a match, however, you wouldn’t get an arm drag either.
He's also never going to get this against any half-decent judoka. And against an actual decent one, he'll get an outer leg sweep the instant that right arm goes in for the drag. He completely opens himself up, LONG before the point where he says 'so many things open up now'.
Was my go to takedown when i used to wrestle.. I was tall and skinny for my weight class so it allowed me to get takedowns while not putting myself in the range of my opponent
I used that when I wrestled in high school. It was my favorite takedown to use. I used it so much that when wrestlers tried it on me I could defend against it. Wow, never realized what I thought I made up in the ninth grade was actually Judo!
Love this takedown it’s my go to against bigger opponents. You can also modify your double to do the same takedown if you can’t lift your opponent or don’t wanna cut the corner.
Appears as though no one realized what this video was about as they spent all their time trying to figure out who the training partner is... kudos to Dave for being a good training partner
I love and as well use arm drags to get my take downs as well. So much easier than for me to try and shoot for a longer double leg that sometimes has gotten me caught and sprawled on,and if I can't get to my knee quick enough then my opponent flatness me and now has my back. Not good. So i use this technique all the time. I've also been able to catch them slipin and pull the arm a bit more and taken their back and gotten my hooks in and flatend them out...Oss🤙
Bautista came to Golds downtown La about 15 years ago, homeboy had three 45’s on each side of the bar on the incline bench and was throwing it up like he was doing push ups. U will only see things like that at golds in Venice
Yeah, really good. The thing is always teach you know if you were down that’s fine but I teach when I do that drag always step with that leg because they could step through.
As a wrestler with 7+ years under my belt I would just re-drag to a back take then body triangle (arm(s) trap if I can) then it’s game over Edit: then it’s gg
I got my purple belt from Matt’s head coach rod khan and I would have to disagree with his arm drag take down as I do it differently.. but that is the beauty of martial arts you do what works best for you!
Would do this in wrestling all the time but it was a little different. Dont grab the wrist, just pop it up, dont grab the elbow, grab the tricep pull them towards you. It forces them to step past you and you can drop for a single. Or take the back, go for a tilt, or german, a bunch of things. I know i know random youtube comment keyboard warrior, but i grew up wrestling since i was 5, I know a thing or two and try both methods so you can decide what works best for you. If youre pretty explosive like me, try the technique i mentioned itll probably work better for you. If you take your time and think before acting then this guys technique in the video will probably work better for you. With the technique i explained its gotta be one motion its explosive and fluid.
I like how batista went from fake fighting theatre champion to failed ufc debute to extra in a random short. Next, he'll be the mat. You're just lucky he didn't wiggle his fingers and wave
The arm drag, yes. That week takedown, no. Step over that leg and square back up by pushing the head with your free hand. Now your opponent is doing a split while you get behind him. (Also he could re arm drag from there and take your back.)
Just casually having Dave Bautista in your video and not even mentioning it at all lol
Damn, you beat me 19 hours earlier
Bragging isn’t the thing to do little bro , things should speak
For themselves , the end
He practices on him every video
Drax is invisible to him so he didn't know who it was
Right!?😂
Poor Drax just came to train now he is the dojo mascot. 😂❤️
Fr
Trust me…Bautista doesn’t train. He takes privates for social media clout.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that was Dave Bautista right away I had to watch the whole video to realize it’s his doppelgänger
@@tylerosborn5824Bautista is a BJJ brown belt, and trains under arroyo. I second guessed myself a couple times too, but that's actually him lol
I was literally about to post something about this 😂
Dave's head stared at me with an angry face
What is that all about, his head? Didn’t he have hair once? But seriously, is that some type of medical condition?

The Arm DRAX Takedown.
i see what you did there 👏
Lmfao 🤣 😂
Weheeey
very good 😂
👏
He's mastered the art of standing so incredibly still, that he becomes invisible to the naked eye.
😂😂😂😂
Who was standing perfectly still? I only saw the instructor.
It's a Guardians of the Galaxy quote I believe from the 2nd movie.

Daaaamn that was cold!
😂 i read this comment as i was exiting and lol by the time i hit the homepage button. Came back just to say..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow! No idea Dave was a brown belt in Jujitsu. The man just keeps becoming more impressive.
No way hes a brown belt.
It's more of a 'dirty white' belt
@@pkpelon1he’s been training a long time
Batista what a legend glad he’s learning from one of the best
Drax-Nothing goes over my head, I would simply catch it.
Damn Dave's brain was trying to push through his skull

niggah really got Batista just chilling in the back
Talking about "I like using this on bigger guys"😂
Good work and I love how you show moves that kids and adults can do and not only for adults keep up the good work ❤
Congrats on the brown belt Dave!!
That's some Marcelo Garcia technique vibes. 👌
marcelo's game is seriously so satisfying
No. It's mark shultz. A wrestler
Bautista never skips brain day
😂😂😂
Your opponent is outta this world
Full speed demo would be nice for next time
What a humble monster in the back.
He's a rock star but stay humble.
Whatta gentleman.
I love your videos but honestly I love that face keeps us Greeks in his gi. Really appreciate the gi
Dave looks completely knackered :)
Wrestling 101. Love your content by the way

You’re annoying lol
It was a fairly awful example I agree. I don’t care he’s a black belt. He was not close enough for either effective armdrag or the takedown.
He's also never going to get this against any half-decent judoka. And against an actual decent one, he'll get an outer leg sweep the instant that right arm goes in for the drag. He completely opens himself up, LONG before the point where he says 'so many things open up now'.
Thanks for the demonstration. I love arm drags.

Drax's head looking like a wasteland of battle scars!
As a former high school and college wrestler that is a technique that is practiced from day one in almost all wrestling rooms.
He just took Bautista down.😢
Casually having dave in the back😅
How'd he manage to make that technic look so real on his own?? Crazy skills
That move I can say is very affective.as I been using it sense 1983.very nice!
yeeeaaah dave brown belt is solid. thanks for the technique too
So good too see stone cold steve austin again!
Legendary indeed. Played it off like a boss lol

His opponent was standing extremely still from the beginning...it's a miracle he was able to even spot him.
😂😂😂
Playing football the entirety of my youth has given me an amazing double leg 🤣 but other areas of my game are lacking, a beautiful sport for suee
So David Batista is basically either acting in good movies or learning. To become an even better wrestler than he is already.
Is that Dave Batista? Love that dude btw. And nice video also.
Bautista standing so still it’s like he disappeared.
Dave knows a better arm drag he's been doing since high school
I expected a single leg. Instead it’s like a ko ouchi makikomi. Love this takedown 👍
Draxx with the Greek flag on the gi! awesome
Batista with that passionfruit dome
Batista puttingin work respect
I'm glad im not the only one who thought that was Dave Bautista lol
That’s a takedown similar to Silat. Works really well when executed properly.
You would think Drax could afford matching gi pants with that Marvel Money.
Out of all the takedowns possible. The last one I’d try on Batista 😂
dave bautista in d house!..mabuhay kapatid
lol Batista looking at him like: “ are you kidding me you’ll get smashed”
Barrett Yoshida and I were doing this move in Relson's Dojo in 97.
Swear to God, Bautista doesn’t have a skull? Just has his brains and then the skin over it.
Dave’s head got those low tide stripes
Love the role , you Played in fantastic 4
