    I luv your heatless curling techniques. I stopped using heat on my hair since I let it go gray. Heat really damages the gray hair and makes it yellow. So thank you for these tips! Luv that Elsie says hello to everyone. She’s so beautiful! ❤️

    Love this hack!! I used my skincare headband instead and it worked well! One thing I will say is if u want ur curls to go away from ur face then u have to wrap them around the other direction since this way makes the curls go towards the face

    I actually use scrunchies just like this for heartless curls. I like the big satin ones. I’ll double up on the scrunchies if I want a looser curl or just use one if I want something tighter. Sometimes I’ll do all of my hair in one bun, sometimes I’ll do two space bun style. It works pretty brilliantly.

    Hi Abbey! You probably won't do this but worth suggesting haha
    Video idea - try to make the most basic hair routine and see the results and compare it to how your hair usually looks and feels 😁 curious to see how your hair is without all the steps and products!
    For ex: Shampoo+condition+detangle
    (Without pre-wash/masks/treatments etc...)

    I'm obsessed with the Sleepy Tie best invention ever!! I try to split my hair like you do but for some reason I'm just not coordinated enough. I need to work on that. Something I’ve found helpful for my fine, thin hair is doing something similar to this, but instead of using a sleepy tie or scrunchie I use Bobby pins. I divide my hair in quadrants(or eighths), make sure the curls are lined up in the same direction and roll them. I sleep in a bonnet and/or scarf which helps keep them laying flat and not getting ratty as I toss and turn. In theory, I think the heat from my head also helps reset the curls, because they always seem really fresh every morning when I shake them out.

      I have jaw- to shoulder blade-length hair and have found this is a great way to get consistent curling on all of the layers. It’s more easy to customize by adjusting the tightness of the roll.

I could not for the life of me get it into a proper bun it was way too loose so I put my hair in a ponytail with a regular scrunchy 1st Then put the scrunchie tie on top And did everything the way you did and it worked perfect.

    Very useful tips and tricks and am so glad to see someone finally (cleverly!) pointing out about splitting the hair before winding it. I've done that from the first time I had the spleepytie. I mean, it makes more sense coz when we use the hot iron we split our hair and curl it different directions rather than all in one direction. Personally I find it worked better on my thick hair when it was longer. Now at medium-length it does not turn out as well T_T, its more like super loose curls. I prefer the overnight blowout method using hair rods which gives me much more defined curls and lots of volume.

      Your hair may be different but for me it doesn’t work to keep hair straight. Because I’m wrapping it around the curler part and sleeping in it, when I wake up my hair has gentle waves. I personally love it, but if you want straight hair you may want to try a different method. ❤

    • @jasonwinkler2845
      @jasonwinkler2845 Год назад

      I’ve considered splitting my hair in half and wrapping my hair around my head (probably in opposite directions) and pinning with curved Bobby pins. I do something similar with my curls, but I think it may work as well for straightened blow outs as long as you don’t wrap your hair in too tight of “rolls”.
      This is what I do for maintaining my curls:
      I divide my hair in quadrants(or eighths), make sure the curls are lined up in the same direction and roll them. I sleep in a bonnet and/or scarf which helps keep them laying flat and not getting ratty as I toss and turn. In theory, I think the heat from my head also helps reset the curls, because they always seem really fresh every morning when I shake them out.
      I have jaw- to shoulder blade-length hair and have found this is a great way to get consistent curling on all of the layers. It’s more easy to customize by adjusting the tightness of the roll.
