I just got into compound. My first bow is a TRX 36”. I’m learning to appreciate it, it’s second hand, it’s been used. But I’m hitting yellow at 70m and it’s comfortable.
WOW!!!! NO DIPSHIT FLOATING YOKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $1800 is ridiculous, especially since I just got my hands on a brand-new-in-the-box Quest Thrive from my local dealer who still has a couple left in stock. It's in black; came in 63# (on a 60# bow, but I'm going to get it to 65# using the 26.5" module and just adding a few twists to the cables); is 34" axle-to-axle; has the 82X aluminum riser which is solid as a rock; and tuned perfectly without needing to shim the cams. The bow has virtually no vibration, and is dead in the hand at the shot. The best part - it only cost me $440 + tax.
Actually wasn't a bad line if bows back then.. I loved my Ross cardiac 31, Went to BT RPM360 after that and Have been shooting Obsession Bows since.... Another bow that stood out to me for the $ was the Bear whitetail legend pro for $550....
@@thistledewoutdoors3331 I was looking at the Whitetail Legend Pro, but I already have two Bowtech Destroyer 350s with 6" brace heights. I didn't need another one, and I'm setting up the Thrive as a target bow. It shoots awesome!
Josh question, when adjusting the poundage on the limbs is it proper to loosen the lock screws on the sides, I noticed sometimes you don,t bother and noticed that Mathew’s was creaking a bit while adjusting limb bolts, just wondering if it is ok to do, thanks, I really enjoy your reviews and keep kicking the Elk Shape butts, lol 😂
Nice review. Just bear in mind that the 80% and 75% mods are equal fastest and the 70V is about 4fps slower. The reason the 70Vs are slower is because altho the valley is shallower, it is much longer - so gradual that many people can’t feel it. But shoot it next to a 75 or 70 and you can feel how the draw force curve really eases up in the last 6” of draw with the 70V, giving a really easy and smooth approach to the wall.
I went with a 80%.. I haven't even drawer the bow back yet so idk of I'll like it.. Gambled and ordered from Josh's shop with zero experience with any matthews trx or draw mods 😆
How do you like it now? I'm just curious, I've wanted a trx since the 40 came out and definitely like the 34 too.. But there's just so many new features on the lift and title bows..
@boxerTJ man I did.. I looked at the title for a couple of days.. but honestly I can't even shoot my current bow to its peak ability 😆 So I decided to spend a 1000 less and picked up a brand new trx 34 in red before they sold out.. Got it from Josh's online shop!
So I follow you with my account David babyak broke my phone this is my son's phone but I been lookin at the 33 phase 4 but now am really interested in this bow I mainly hunt but love shooting almost as much, my questions are can you use all the phase 4 accessories like bridgelock and pull rope tabs etc. Other ? Are im coming from a vertix how would you compare the sound/loudness of the bow and vibration is it way better than my verix? Love the content and all the Lil pro tips you give man thanks so much
What bow would you recommend? 6ft 2in, 240 lbs. Was shooting the Bowtech RPM360 but as the years have passed I’m over the speed bow draw and heavy valley. Looking for smooth draw that’s easy on my shoulders and forgiving. Thanks
How can Mathews charge 500 more for this than the phase 4? The phase 4 has much more tech built in. Seems like this would be a tough sell for a bow shop.
They know they'll sell way less of them so they're gonna charge a lot more. I like the bow a lot but if I couldn't get it for $1k I would never consider it. Too many good bows with these specs or better for less. Bows aren't accurate, archers are.
So after watching some of your bow reviews you really got to tone it down a bit with the bias. I get it that you sell Matthews but you’re far more critical of every other bow compared to Mathew’s.
Could be that he has access to all these different bows, and as he said he chooses to shoot this bow. So he probably shoots this bow over others because he has the leash amount of complaints about it
@@CruddyCpt buddy, he never says anything negative towards matthews bows when in reality the recent Mathew’s bows are average at best. They’re slow, the least adjustable, and expensive. Ask yourself this, what does this bow or any matthews do better than other bows with the same specs?
I agree that $2000 out the door for an average aluminum hunting bow that weighs 5 pounds is indeed insane. My 2016 PSE Decree HD Ti is 35" ATA, 4lbs, 340ibo. Don't understand the need for 5lb aluminum bows. But if you have to bludgeon a charging bear or lion with a bow the Matthews bows are definitely best for that.
@@theingobeck4772 that decree is a great bow. I’d take that over any Mathew’s in the past 10 years. I used to be a diehard Mathew’s guy until I made it a point to test out other brands. Haven’t been back since. They’re ok bows but that’s all they are. They don’t do anything better than other brands. They used to be great but now they care more about sponsorships and advertising than developing new tech.
@Daniel Brown Saw that also. Just wondering his overall opinion between the 2. Actually evrytime I go through pros and cons the bowtech wins. Price and easy tuning caps it off.

"When I beat the crap outta Dan and all them..." Hahaha! Love the trash talking and competitiveness you all have.
Ima thumbs up before I even watch. Love this bow.
I'm with ya dude, best fitting, shooting and feeling bow I've ever shot! (For me atleast)
Been debating on getting one of these for TAC coming up. So glad you did a review 🤘🏼
Looks like a great bow for 3D and hunting. Thanks for the review!
That's the first Mathews bow that has peaked my interest enough to look into. Thanks for sharing MFJJ!
Been waiting on this one MFJJ. I’ve noticed you shooting the TRX 34 in non bow review videos. Keep up the splendid work.
Nice bow and thanks for the content enjoyed it as always.
Looks nice. My favorite I shot recently was the SS34. Love my Bowtechs.
Love the videos and the information!
One of my favorite bows.. ended up having some modules coming loose consistently for over 2 years.. finally stopped this year

Great Video
Thanks
Good job. Cool hair
Thanks for the great reviews. All things considered how does it compare to the Reckoning?
Man I have wanted this bow since they released it. Hopefully I can swing one this summer
Great review.
I'd love to have one of these...
Great video! Wish I could swing 2k for the bow!
From what I hear it's the best bow made for bowhunter freestyle class
Will you do a review of the TRX 36? Very few reviews online to use as a resource.

When will we see a review on the PSE shoot down pro?!
Can you do a review on the pse shootdown pro? Think that might be a killer target/hunting rig.
Thank you
Definitely would love to hunt with it but definitely can not afford it 😂
Also is this a different cam system than the current and last few have?
Can you do a review on the Hoyt stratos as well?

Other than ATA inch difference, whats differences in this and V3x?
MFJJ have you done a video on the TRX 38G2?
The TRX34 really seems like its a Halon 32-6 but 2" longer. For those that have shot both, what are your thoughts?
I’ve seen hybrids of these with hunting cams what our your thoughts pros/cons of making a bow like that
Great bow, just wish it came in at a draw of 30.5.
Thanks
So, which quiver do you recommend to run with the TRX 34 as a hunting rig?
When will there be more Arizona ez fletch mini max jigs both the left and right back in stock on the website
Does this bow have the integrated system?
The 72 pounds maybe had an added couple pounds from the back wall bang
