8:55 is so true I work in an archery shop and right now we only have 2 lighters and usually I need to tie something in and burn both lighters end up being at the other station but the always go missing
Hamskea offers a replacement plate with a D ring so you can tie right into just for that Mathews cord location!
Hey Chris what was that thing you did with the d loop material between the string, did it mess with the twist of the string?
Bomar has a patent on that there string/peep aligner thingy ! I have used that in the past,Mathews should put one on every Zebra string 😁. Can’t get enough of the tech stuff.

So, how is the 38 G2 versus the 2019 TRX 38? Much difference?
V-TAC 23s are amazing arrows. Super tough for the weight and fly so well no matter what you do with them it seems.I run 90gr for 3D and 120gr indoors on 380s.
On my bow I run a single stabilizer does running 2 stabilizers really make that much of a difference when shooting at targets only indoor it won’t be used for hunting just target practice. What rear stabilizer would you guys recommend?
The TRX and the Martin Legend look like some great target bows. Wish I had an extra 1k laying around!!
That CB peep alignment device is brilliant! I have never seen that before other than Bowmar’s overpriced one. Again, brilliant!
Just wanted to say you picked a great company. I have 14yr old Conquest II. I'm the original owner. It is still under warranty.....Also, I'm looking at the TRX 38 s a possible replacement for it. The reason is, I'm one of the last remaining finger shooters. Although, it is still doing great! How does full draw feel like? Looking at the 75% mod. I heard the 70v doesn't have a valley.
PS you may want to add a yellow dampener ring. LOL! .........Oh, the gen 1, you were thinking about, might of been the Apex?
Sooooo many changes…. Went from Hamskea rest to the QAD then back to Hamskea…. Ditched the Hamskea peep…. Ditched the last chance fletching jig…. Now getting away from the Easton arrows….

Hey Chris, I know this video is old but I had a question. I own a V3X 33, but I'll only be hunting a handful of times this season, my main obsession is target/3d shooting. Would you recommend getting the 38, and ditch the 33?
I remember when I was about 10-11 years old I got my first bow. We went to a archery shop and it kinda gave me a bad feeling. Like first ever thing Fact I said about archery the employees were like “No!”. A couple weeks later I was shooting my bow and the peep sight shot out of my bow. They didn’t;t even Tye the peep sight in.

The improvements on compound bows In the last 15 years, has been so dismal that it's not worth paying the price for the new ones. There are so many good older bows and parts. Most of this new stuff is just the same as old and doesn't even give you anything for the money.

Would love to hear more on the UV scopes. Glass options, magnifying, the hunter version and the differences as well as how you run your setup. Considering a UV but might go another route unless I can bee persuaded.

hamskea makes a replacement plate with a eyelid on it as well for the rest cord attachment to the limb.

What's the best Mathews hunting/indoor target bow?
in my opinion, it's a lot harder to shoot well indoors or target in general with a short bow than it is to hunt with a longer bow. Speeds are nearly identical all around these days, as well. The TRX36 or maybe even TRX38 would be my pick for a do-it-all bow, if I had to pick a Mathews.
One thing that's great about the TRX series is, that these bows are super quiet, not just for a target bow, but in general.
