I think Badonkagonks once a month with a shorter 30-minute segment biweekly for book discussions would work.
Mini-gonk every two weeks; 30 minute book review, and Badonkagonk every four weeks.

In regards to the Obi-Wan discussion around the midpoint of the show, I just finished the book, Padawan, recently and figured I'd give some context. He is a teenager during this story and is in a point of his life where he is kind of questioning where he fits in and if he even has a future in the Jedi Order. He goes on a mission and ends up having to stay with this group of people mostly around his age for several days. Two of these people are in a relationship and it gets Obi-wan thinking of what his life would be like if he wasn't a Jedi and stayed on this planet and had a relationship with someone there. He specifically uses the word 'anyone' rather than just talking about the females. He also admits to not really having those feelings much before so is obviously confused/not sure about it. It's a 2-3 sentence section in the first half of the book and then another 2-3 sentence section a couple chapters later when he is more comfortable with the people there.
Regardless of that though, I don't see what the problem is. Obi-wan has never been stated to be straight. And, if he was non-straight, is there something wrong with that?

Regarding your discussion on Obi-Wan's age, I thought this excerpt from the book "Kenobi" helped explain it as well. This is from a conversation on Tattoine.
“Broon was a great holovid actor when I was a kid. My mother loved him. Anyway, he came to Mos Espa for some race story he was acting in, and he caught the bug. Fell in love with the desert. The guy was raised in total privilege, and he sets eyes on the Jundland Wastes and becomes obsessed. So Broon buys a dump out here-no offense-and tells people he’s doing research on his own production, a desert epic. And off he goes. Showed up in Bestine six months later-looking twenty years older. The suns and the wind ripped him up something awful. It looked like someone’d taken a plastorch to his face. His own agent didn’t recognize him, and his studio wanted nothing to do with him.” She pointed to the eopie, munching away, its head under the tarp now covering the trough. “Take it from Rooh. Keep your hood on, or you’ll dry out like a sack of gorrmillet.”

It would be interesting to see both of you trying out the tabletop game Star Wars: Legion. While the game mechanics are nice, I find that people enjoy the game more when they're geeking out about playing with their favorite Star Wars characters. Could be a fun special episode if you bought a discounted two player starter set online (or both of them for the four main factions) and showed everyone your adventure as you're learning the game.

Eric, if you ever decide to try SWTOR, I highly recommend either the Imperial Agent storyline or Sith Warrior storyline (you can play light side or grey side on both if you want!). Those two storylines are the best IMO with Imperial Agent a league above all others.

I love seeing you guys cover the High Republic, it has become my favorite era of Star Wars honestly, i would love to see you guys cover all the books and comics but i can see it be a bit too much so i will say if you commit to reading the story of this era read all the Adult and YA novels (do not skip the YA's please!)
Anyway thank you to bring this content and awesome discussions about Star Wars :)

For those who want visuals, all three adult High Republic novels also have children's book adaptations told from the perspective of Burryaga which are full of illustrations of scenes of the novels, making them almost like mini art books for each novel. The one for Light of the Jedi is called The Great Jedi Rescue. The one for The Rising Storm is called Showdown at the Fair. And the one for The Fallen Star is called The Battle for Starlight. They're fun little books and it's so great to actually get to see these scenes. Aside from those, the various High Republic comic series aren't adaptations of the novels, but reading them will really help you to visualize this era and many of its characters. The High Republic is already one of my favorite Star Wars stories of all time, so I'm excited to see other people getting into it! I just finished reading Light of the Jedi for my fourth time lol. (The Rising Storm might be my favorite Star Wars novel of all time!)

Love hearing more people get into THR! It's been my favorite thing in Star Wars lately. The way the authors are weaving threads between their individual stories makes it even more rewarding the more you read. 😀
There's a lot to keep up with but I strongly recommend checking out at least the marvel comics by Cavan Scott alongside the adult novels for a much richer experience

On another note, I never thought of it but the zantecka guy is probably who Luke talked to about finding the Sith Planet and learned about the Sith Wayfinder. Which makes more sense of it all in my head.

There was a 2D SW that I vaguely remember from my child hood. It had something to do with being a Republic LAAT Gunship and your basically just fly forwards, shoot at Septatist bases, and you could even land troops on said bases and they’d attack it from the inside and then you’d take them to the next one. It was fun as hell and I wish I could remember it. I also hope it’s not some childhood fantasy because I remember playing it at my Dad’s house as a kid and it had its own unique controller with the few buttons and one analog stick. Maybe someone else will know what I’m referring to😂🤞

I adore Fallen Order, Republic Commando, and the old Battlefront 2, but one of my favorite SW games is probably an unprecedented choice, but I swear it doesn’t get NEARLY the love it deserves. But I was such a big fan of Empire At War (Zann Consortium expansion included) growing up. I played that game near religiously as a kid lol.
Also, that Ewan/Alec segment was glorious lol. Well done Aaron.

    Top 5 SW games:
    Jedi Outcast
    Kotor 2
    X-Wing Alliance
    Jedi Knight
    Kotor
Honorable mentions go to Galactic Battlegrounds (the hours I put into that), Republic Commando, Jedi Power Battles, the old Battlefronts.
I didn't dig Force Unleashed's at all, especially the second one is just atrocious. However even that can't hold a candle to the worst Star Wars game ever, Xbox's OBI-WAN

42:55 well, very few now, but still some, but don't ask Star Trek fans about how many video games there were recently ;) (or Stargate fans, or Babylon 5 fans :)). Star Wars is stil has at least something :).
And about best Star Wars games, I am old as f...ehm, so mine best of are Dark Forces and Dark Forces 2 (which also had a great audio dramatization that I can't recommend enough), followed by Tie Fighter (well, the whole X-Wing series - X-WING, Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter and of course X-Wing Alliance), then Knights of the Old Republic 2 (but I agree that first Kotor had the best Star Wars like revelation in its story :)) and I would add to the top games I played also Star Wars: Empire at War.
