Have you heard all their older songs?... Its like "the" berserk band, thanks to Anton (former songwriter and founder of the band) who is a huge berserk fan..
Finland, land of the language that no one understands, Land of the Santa Claus, Land of the thousand lakes and summery midnight sun, Land of the dark and cold winter nights, lit with Aurora Borealis and most important, Land of the awesomest metal bands! Gotta love this land! Thanks for reacting!
You foretold that Noora will be picked into a game heroine character. Unfortunately not the one you suggested, but she is now Kayle in League of Legends game band Pentakill.
Well made band review! The additions into "The Eclipse" lyrics video were a nice touch, now i wish that was the official video. I just love Noora's voice and character, she pours her heart in the songs, very soulful singer. And as a person she isn't afraid to go extreme and funny, with Battle Beast the live preformances are so wild and full of energy. Well, the whole band takes the live performances as having fun. I'm gonna check more of your videos, I like this idea of band introductions. 👍 ❤️
Thanks! Totally agree, I think the band has a great sense of humor that fits nicely with their music, and makes for a great live show! Really looking forward to what they come out with next....hopefully more synth drum! 🥁🎵🤘 -Michael
@@MetalAcademix Would love for you guys to react to us!! What is the criteria? Do bands pay to be on the channel? We have played shows with unleash the archers and Visigoth etc. - totally digging your choices!!
‘I’m not what you want but I give what you need’ - great line, also my favourite lyric from that song. The song 'Out of Control' is actually a Battle Beast song off their 2nd album. The Sabaton version is actually them covering Battle Beast. A cover Battle Beast did do was Wasps song ‘Wild Child’. It’s a bonus track on their 3rd album. I think Noora's singing is the centrepiece for sure, but good vocals with bad songs wont go very far so the fact the band write good music cannot be underappreciated. I would say their diversity of sound is also a defining feature. Most bands have their style and the just stick with that, however because of Noora's versatility, the band cover a wide array of musical styles. Here it seems you guys prefer the metal songs specifically, of which they have many. However, other people will equally prefer the rock/pop stuff over the metal stuff. However, people who have a broad musical taste will enjoy this band most as they can appreciate all the songs as opposed to restricting themselves to only a subsection of the bands catalogue.
I always thought it was Battle Beast covering Sabaton - good to know! Definitely a contender for a future Battle of the Bands showdown. I also like their cover of Powerwolf's Resurrection by Erection 😂 Definitely agree on their musical range. It's funny to watch a bunch of old, bearded metal heads rock out to their more pop-ish tracks live. But yeah, guilty as charged...I like their higher tempo stuff ⚡⚡ -Michael
and how about some Beast In Black? :) Anton Kabanen's band after Battle Beast :) I think they didn't want him in BB due to some personal issues or something, but he knows how to make a good heavy metal album, From Hell With Love is perfect :)
I will always remember first time I ear and saw Battle Best , they was touring together with Sonata Arctica in 2012, so was starting the concert all the band start playing and from no where Noora jump to the stage and scream and I say Unbelieved, was in my birthday and was a fantastic concert. Battle Beast first singer was Nitte Valo she have also an incredible voice, one of my favorite song of the band is from her Iron Hand ruclips.net/video/q2HAi9vkSno/видео.html that song have one of the best keyboard solos as well you can ear here with Nora live in Rock fest Bcn 2016 ruclips.net/video/UV_0IxYdM2M/видео.html they always do the beer with the Imperial March. Anton Kabanen the co-founder, songwriter and lead guitar leave the band in 2015 few month month after they release the album Unholy Savior, so he found another band call "Beast in Black" the style really similar but with a man voice from Greek Yannis Papadopoulos you can check Blind and Frozen ruclips.net/video/2N4tXf3Ensw/видео.html really powerfull voice, also check From Hell with Love ruclips.net/video/f8qWbowzwZU/видео.html Some recommendation for the future can be Cain's Offering no so much reaction the have: Constellation of Tears: ruclips.net/video/4_islLzQIQI/видео.html Ocean of Regreat: ruclips.net/video/z7YRXSoDhcs/видео.html Antemortem: ruclips.net/video/UKIPwmwLsNU/видео.html

@@MetalAcademix It's worth to check it out. After reading it, the song Eclipse got much deeper and sadder. Can't listen to it without goosebumps. Same goes for a lot of Beast in Black songs too.
Yup! We saw them open up for Amon Amarth last year...super powerful voice but it's not for me. The instrumentals were great though - do you have any recommendations of your favorites to check out? -Michael
Too bad you didn't pick Black Ninja. It´s probably still my favorite cut by BB... I happened to stumble across the band and that song when I searched for fresh Power Metal on the Tube sex or seven years ago. Black Ninja is certainly a catchy track, but what really got to me was Nooras voice. It kills - end of story! Talking about particular traits in a culture... I also got the impression that, while all other countries have folk music, Finland has Metal. And, thank Lucifer, not just Power..! The Fins have some excellent Doom, Black and Folk bands as well. But that's another story, as your channel is about Power. Keep up the good work! 🤘🖤🤘
Hey Rob - thanks! Black Ninja was my entry point into them as well (from Spotify I think) and was a close contender. Figured I'd mix it up a bit. There's some Finnish folk metal coming up in a couple weeks. Hint: not Korpiklaani :) -Michael
The Eclipse was a good pick up too. Black Ninja gets lots of reactions, everyone will soon see it if they check Battle Beast. Yeah metal is a big genre here in Finland, but pop still comes bigger. And folk, got that too, I'm actually into Finnish folk, so started listening metal first by checking folk metal bands like Ensiferum, Verjnuarmu and Korpiklaani.
Maybe when checking Wiki pages about Finnish metal bands or reading, you've come across word "Kalevala." Pagan age poem singing and mythology is behind of many bands and musicians get to know it if not before, in the music academy. The ancient poems of the Finns is actually the largest poem collection in the world, 85 000 were published in the world's biggest poem collection "Suomen Kansan Vanhat Runot" and 65 000 more were lft out of it.
Skill of writing is actually more like a curse. So much oral traditions were lost in the world with it. Most places, people didn't think of writing down oral tradition before it disappeared. In Finland the tradition was fast dying too, before they started collecting oral tradition. In the "civilized" parts it was mostly gone already, most poems came from the periferia with scarce population. And in couple of generation that was gone too. And even though poem singing metrics is still done by poets and musicians, the tradition is dead, everything is nowadays passed to next generations in writing. Video could be media passing old tales forwards, but that wasn't available back then, maybe video media will become a new oral tradition.
Great reaction. Noora is definitely one of the best female metal singers, and BB is great band, even now without Anton Kabanen. This is somewhat like Metallica-Megadeth situation, where Mustaine got kicked out of Metallica, and now we have two excellent bands =) I see you haven't done any Nightwish yet? I would suggest, that you might want to start with huge epic "Ghost Love Score" (Live at Wacken 2013) or shorter and little heavier "Storytime". That whole concert is incredible, so if you like to do something else, be my guest. But do only official videos, or use this link, because there are tons of slowed down versions of this Wacken concert: ruclips.net/video/cAwtzi7Q3Bk/видео.html
Thanks! We're getting alot of requests for Nightwish, so we'll put it into the pipeline for sure. Also Beast in Black - Yannis will be making an appearance soon in another video coming up in a few weeks. Stay tuned! 🤘 -Michael

oh yeah and the guitarist is even taller in real life than he looks in the video
