I agree so far. My firestick4k seems to behaving better. No random disconnects (random toggle of USB connections) of USB happening. Seems to help the stick behave better. will report back if we see other issues. Had to put VPN in blacklist mode to get prime working though.

@@TechDoctorUK i know that the amazon helpdesk can ask for your IP address and see what apps you have so i always assumed they would be also navigating the device from their end....yet for the costumer there must be a way as well ....i use teamviewer for stock android tv boxs and it works great i have helped a lot of people maintain there boxes but for firestick peeps man it doesnt work

Hi techdoctor since 4k update I have two apps appeared firetv player and IMDB TV taking up 156.28mb. All my apps are on USB and I used deblot tool and now lost 156.28mb eny ideas mate.
I would like to develop that too. Big issue with FireOS5 devices is that you can't run the tool directly on them (as ADB connections don't work locally). This means even if I create a toolbox, it will have to be run from another Android device / Phone.

hi i used this application which is great but I want to know how to enable the subtitles because for some of my apps they have no images so I rely on the subtitles but when I used this it stopped working until I enabled it all again do u know which ones I need to enable for this to carry on working thanks!!

However after making these changes to the stop, with a few exceptions all those bloated programs running in the background, will this stop the Firestick from running automatic updates? Is it safe to do so still? And which program needs to be unchecked to allow automatic updates so that the Firestick gets all the latest including possible Android improvements and versions.

I just ran the fire os 5 debloat tool on my second gen fire TV and was only able to remove 13 of the 15 things listed 2 of them came up with a error
