Regarding ice on the headlights, at 11:26, I encountered that once on Cape Cod. Came out from a meeting at the community center, and there have been some blowing sleet and snow. My headlights were covered over and I didn’t realize that until I was driving a few blocks and seemed like my headlights were off. When I got out and looked, I understood why I couldn’t see too well because they were iced over! I spend the winters normally in Florida so being up north at that time was unusual for me.
I’m glad you will still have content and before you know it it’s gonna be warm out and rwd will have a video saying I’m back…with online or with some other company. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if you went local.

When I left CFI, i let a fleet manager know not mine as my fm wasnt in that day. day before i arrived at the terminal I called to see if they'd get me a rental car and my fleet manager was like... I didnt know this was your last load. They did in fact get me a rental car. I had other things in the works incase they wouldnt but would have made life a bit more stressful and would have lost a few of my things. I'm local now, and I like driving in the snow so I'm good working during the winter lol except I deliver dairy products and thanksgiving and christmas are extremely heavy for us... extra heavy on milk and eggnog and yeah... lots of fun.. not to mention I unload my trailer and its not on pallets so not pulling pallets of a truck... I'm pulling dollies of milk (400lbs each, average about 25-35 dollies)

Now the sad part is, I’m from Middletown and uh yeah the construction to open Aaron Dr up on the other end happened nearly 20 years ago. So you’re right, it is kind of new… but also so old that it should have been updated! Helpful hint if you come northbound to that place in the future, instead of going to the Middletown exit, you can take the Monroe exit. Much easier turns for a rig, wider roads/lanes and such! Two lanes each way pretty much the whole way! But good luck with your near and distant future, can’t wait to see the future content!

Your going to have to have a job to qualify for a loan . Taking the winter off is a safe move. Last winter a trip from Utah to Missouri on I80 I saw at least 25 wrecks, the tanker in front of me was fish tailing so I gently tapped the brakes and I could feel my truck sliding on the snow/ice got off the brakes and was ok .
@@DebraDevis as I got a bit older, there is not much Christmas going on: The nieces and nephews have moved away, and I have no kids or wife, so it's pretty quiet these days, but otherwise, YES, I love Christmas.
it is nice to be mindful of other drivers. where i work we have the cranks for the landing gear on either side. varies trailer to trailer. and our docks are close together. what i often do is what your supposed to do, leave your sand feet at least an inch off the ground, then unhook. for two reasons. for one, if a trailer is too close that i hook, to, i can pull it out before cranking the gear all the way up and for two, many times i've had to get out and crank down so i don't high hook. those are the people who put the sand feet all the way down and then unhook, airbags and truck heights vary. their not supposed to but they do.
This s sadder news than when my favorite series ends :(. But like everyone else is saying. Gotta do what u gotta do. Be looking forward to these other videos tho!

my man I understand where you are coming from about the backing and leaving room for the other driver to get to their landing gear. I work as a yard driver and have seen drivers park so damn close to other trailers (which is dumb becuase we have lines and if you park between then correctly then there is no issue!!) and we have to fix then on the daily...its like they really just dont give a damn about their fellow driver.
Moving down in Mississippi is a pain right now. Everything is high priced but I'm from Ohio where you're at but since I moved down here this place is my home. Love it down here!!! You need any help let me know I'm in the Hattiesburg area!

Man I wish I could take the winters off as well. I drive for a big grocery store chain out here in the Midwest and our winters are brutal. We run around in day and so there’s no pulling over and sleeping it off when the roads get bad either. We gotta keep going and can only really stop if we find a hotel somewhere. Winter is 100% the worst part of this job. Been doing it for 8 years and it never gets easier haha.

Addendum: the fact that you were paying for your own transportation home should be considered beneficial because it reduces the company expense and thus shows that you want to come back. I would suggest putting some sort of a filming date in the Description so that we have some clue as to the sequence of the videos that you are planning to upload in the next few months.
Get your hazmat and haul fuel out of Mobile or out of collins!! I leave my options open but get your hazmat bud. You're a good driver you can do a lot of things.

You will have to go through a few companies until you find your niche. We, seasoned truckers, have all been there. Just be patient and enjoy the ride but never let a company screw you. I've got 20 years trucking.

You will have to go through a few companies until you find your niche. We, seasoned truckers, have all been there. Just be patient and enjoy the ride but never let a company screw you. I've got 20 years trucking.
