hey, i'm a truck driver in france i will get my green card soon and i will need to pass my CDL as well how can you finance it in the US ? company can hire you with no CDL and then pay for your school ?
@TexasReelLife04 yoy can either go with a mega carrier that has a school or go to a private trucking school. Mega carrier with a school does not charge you for classes but will take the money out of your paycheck until they get the desired amount for the classes for your CDL but you're automatically guaranteed job if you pass thru them. However big con.. you sign a contract which says you agree not to leave the company until they get the full amount, if you do it can get you into a lot of trouble and pretty much unhireable with any other carrier if they chose to take it to that level If you don't go this route and private trucking school most companies will pay you a certain amount on top of your paycheck monthly until they reach the full amount it costed you for schooling. @TexasReelLife04 about 4k for me but I'm in Georgia. I went to a private trucking school instead of technical college so it was a bit more pricy, but you can get out of the school and get your CDL way faster. Private schools on average take about 3 weeks whereas graduating from a technical college for trucking can take 6-9 months. So if you want to be more cost effective try technical school but in all it won't really matter because the employer will likely reimburse you and you'll get the money back in a matter of time from paychecks
Check your drive tires for tread depth all I can see is a little bit of 1 tire what does the rest of the tires look like. When side hooking you mite have to drop the air bags so you don't push the trailer side ways they sidle real easy.
I only had to do a side-hook once about 30 years ago in the dark. What a pain in the arse that was. You impressed the hell out of me getting that job done. Atta Boy, Dave.

Had that before. 90 degree in the niddle of the night. There was a pickup truck parked in front of it to make sure nobody hooks up. But the company shut and the pickup was still there when we came. Fun stuff ;)
12:08 oh hell no on props to him. First: never put the gear on the ground before you drop it. That’s why you drop the fifth wheel, to lower the gear down to the ground. If he had a FL the next driver to pic it up might be in a Volvo and start a set of vocabulary words that the preacher will not like!! Dropped it where he never should have. But that’s Western Express for ya. 😂
Side hooking is definitely a pain in the butt to do. I have a hard time getting the kingpin into the funnel part of the 5th wheel too. If it helps any, just remember that the kingpin is right at 3ft aft of the front of the trailer, and your tractor is 8'6" wide, which means the midpoint is 4'3". If you hit it straight from jackknife position, that means the side of your tractor that is closest to the front of the trailer should overshoot the corner of the trailer by about a foot. I know...easier said than done still. But anything that can help minimize required corrections and GOALs can't hurt either.

I would’ve just hooked up to the JB Hunt trailer and just park it in the spot over away from the online trailer and that’s more space for you to hook up to your trailer..😐😐😅
True, but he did say in his "final" video that he had plenty of content from the past that he never uploaded, and for us to expect "new" content to continue to be posted, even if it's actually even a year old.
Side hooking sucks even when I used to be the yard horse driver. Had the review window still wasn’t fun. Only times I’ve had to do that was when an outside driver jacked it to hard and ripped his tractor glad Hans off
