Oh yes, I love the Catit water fountain!! The dogs got so use to it, that I got them one for their house. So they now have a water fountain too. LOL

AWW Thats awesome.. i think you will have to feed these guys.. what i used to do is just to cut it and feed them.. now the latest method is to pull it softly then the grass will come out and then feed the starving kitties.. good luck..thanks for sharing..

My cats LOVE cat grass 💚 You can buy wheat or my cats favorite is oat grass seeds on Amazon. The secret is to mist so you don't get mold. I got a cute bronze metal cat planter for Mother's Day and now use it for growing cat grass. At night I put it under an undercounter fluorescent light and trim as needed (you can add the trimmings to wet food) and it lasts for weeks. My fab 5 ❤ it!!

Thanks!! We had a Catit water fountain too but now we switched to a continuous waterer with a stainless steel bowl. It's more hygienic and keeps the water cooler. The cats love it. 🤗

Your video and instructions are great i did it wrong 1st time still got grass though. My cat nibbles her grass every morning she loves the Catit grass. Got the dish for her in April last year she’s an in door cat so always have grass for her. She also has the green fountain and just got her the blue LED fountain as well.

Wonderful set up and looks so easy. Tuxie sure seemed to liked it. 😻 I'll have to get some for my cats. Being winter they don't have much grass to eat and the cats that don't go out would love it. 💖

I like this setup. Some of the ones you see are too small. They tip-over this looks like a solid base to it. I take it that is the bowl you are talking about? Thanks for the showcase. I hope you get feeling better. God Bless.
Thanks Debbie! Yes, this Catit system comes with the bowl and the grey mat so that it keeps everything in place. And so far, it has worked perfectly! No tipping over or anything. I really like it!!
Thanks so much for this excellent step by step instructions! The only one I found ! I am on my second catit grass kit. Unfortunately the first I made the mistake of mixing the seedling with the vermiculite. It still grew out but not as nice through the green lid. Then Hurricane Irma hit us and it went bye bye. So I just ordered a new kit. Thanks for the video!

I got Catarina some cat grass and the only way she ate the grass is by my feeding it to her, otherwise she just bit the grass and dropped it. But it looks like you won't have that problem. That's a neat product.
LOL!! You are the second person who has said the same thing. That their cat loved the grass but they had to feed it to their cat. 😂 What we won't do for our furbabies!!
I'll have to look this up. I can get cat grass in pots at Wegman's but I need a bigger set up because the cats, dogs, and the house rabbit all want to eat it.
You can also buy a big bag of seeds and plant it in bigger containers if you want.

@@TheTriciaLife Not sure what you mean with 'dirt' but I usually repeat the whole process of soaking and germinating every 3 weeks. I put new soil in my pots and plant the new seeds so there's a constant flow of fresh cat grass.
Hey Dawn, I just bought the catit grass planter and the catit grass kit early this week and im just learning how to do it for the first time. I got to the part in your video where you say: your going to leave it like this until you start to see grass growing im not going to do anything else until I see the grass grow, but that doesn't explain how long you left it like that before putting the green cover on and it doesn't explain if you watered it ? ...Why im asking is because that is where im at in your video for growing mine.
Oh and Dawn I have another question. When you put the seeds on top and you were waiting for the grass to grow, like did you have sunshine where you live to get the grass to grow ? ...Because it says it needs alot of sun, and I have no sun here it's been cloudy and rainy for the past couple of days since I started the grass kit.
Hi Jewel!! Congratulations on getting the Catit grass system! I filmed this tutorial over a year and a half ago but if I remember correctly, the cat grass grows very fast. I lightly misted it every morning. And it only took maybe 2 days before I put the screen on. I did not put mine outside in the sun. I left it on my kitchen counter and it got a very small amount of indirect sun from a window for a couple of hours. Maybe if you have a small desk lamp you could hook it up and let it get some light that way for a few hours. Good luck!! 🤗
@@FurtasticFriends Hi Dawn. Im doing everything you said in your video, and I don't know what im doing wrong, but im on day 4 of trying to grow the grass and it's only growing around the outter edges and it's not growing in the middle.. Help ?

How much light does it need to keep growing?
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! Actually it doesn't need much at all. Just set it on the counter near a window for a few hours a day and that should be fine Just keep it misted. Don't let it dry out. Have a pawtastic week ahead! 🐾🐱

Thanks for watching!! I misted them every morning just to keep them moist but not to wet.
Do you put the seed with damp paper towel in room or outside room?
After you put the seeds in the damp paper towels, you just set them aside on the counter or anyplace where they won't be disturbed.

Hi there! There's no need to change the paper towel, just use the same one. And just keep the paper towel moist, don't let it dry out. My seeds sprouted in just 2 days. Good luck!!
How often did you spray water on the seeds when planting
nothing seems to be happening the seeds have started to show
something but no grass after about 3 days
I kept a spray bottle next to it. I kept it moist. I usually misted it everyday.

Thanks!! It was only about 5 or 6 days! It grows really fast. Once it starts, its gotten really tall and thick. I just mist it every morning.
I don't do the first step and I use catit grass seeds kit and I mix it in and the grass grows fine but I don't have the grass growing bowl. Tuxie is funny wanting to drink the water lol. It does grow fast which I like for when Remy is waiting for more lol.
It was so fun to do! I had never grown cat grass before. Now I want to grow some cat nip plants!!
