This clip should've been included on the Golden Records aboard the Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft. Unfortunately they were launched four years before the show was recorded, so....

The medley: 1) Stand, 2) Everybody is a Star, 3) Hot Fun in the Summertime, 4) Dance to the Music, 5) Everyday People, 6) Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) & 7) Stand (reprise)
Rick of Rick & Ruby ("Mr. Jelly Donut" here) writes on his blog [that this site won't let me name] that Sly Stone actually attended the show at the Roxy but left at the end without talking to anyone. Bummer.

Without a secret word we don't know which one this is. Probably the best kids show ever made and maybe one of the best for adults too. Totally unique and creative. Over the bar and the top.

This was actually from "The Pee-Wee Herman Show," which preceded "Pee-Wee's Playhouse" by a few years. Some of it was a little more adult than Pee-Wee's later show, but this musical tribute should appeal to people of all ages.

This was an hbo special. We had the vhs growing up. A lot of the jokes are pretty adult. And a lot of them are just jokes a kid wouldn’t get. Really funny stuff but very different from the regular pee wee stuff. Idk if this is pre film or not. Prob after the film?
