I'm a drummer and I'm 50, have been playin since I was 14, I wish I had half this guys talent!! Oh my!! What fuckin beast!! Style, groove, rudiments, all perfect! Listen to him play parasite, then listen to Criss, I'll take Singer all day long and twice on Sunday, KISS should consider themselves lucky to have this guy behind the kit!! Long live Eric Singer you rock dude!!
Total feel, solid rudiments, power, technique, tempo, finesse, flash, love of craft... and he's not a drunken doper (am I right on that one?). So what's not to love?
One thing I've always liked about Eric is the sound and touch he has, one of the best, particularly of the hard rock dudes. He's a got a warm loose sound yet accurate/clean.
I was at this gig and attended the small drum clinic the night before .. I was only 17 at the time and Eric and his management snuck me into this gig such an amazing night
Its been 13 long years since I saw this video for the first time and I remember every single part of it, this dude made me set the toms in a vertical position and realizing how it improves the sound and helps de hit... Awesome, thanks for uploading it
I met him a a KISS convention in Hackensack,NJ on the afternoon he was to fly to London to play w/ Brian May.We were looking a motorcycle that someone had painted in KISS makeup. We just started talking about this and that. No more than a few minutes, but he proved to be a really ncie guy - nice as everyone says he is.I hope that hasn't changed.

just Eric Singer, he is the only one that can ask for more to himself and I think... you dont need more!!!! you are exelent long life to Eric Singer!!!
I play guitar and know almost every song from the alive albums but heart including solos so then i moved on to drums and can play all the peter songs but when i got to alive three i had to add double bass and didn't realize how many different sounds you can get by adding another bass pedal. You've got to love the Erics!!!!
Hehe funny to see how people compare different drummers from different times. Criss was ok in 70's. Carr was excellent in 80's and now Singer his the one. Strong, very technical, he knock hard and more he's an incredible showman on stage. Who want more ?
This is why Eric is in Kiss. Peter on his best day could never play like this. I miss seeing him play in Alice Cooper's band. Alice has Glen Sober who is a beast so it's all good. The only thing I wish Eric did was create his own character instead of coping the Peter Criss theme. My guess is he had no say because of the copyright thing. Still good stuff.
This guy buries Peter Criss. I don't understand these origninal lineup purists who rather see Grandpa Criss struggle to play a 2 hour show than Eric rock the house. He made every KISS song so much heavier with his style.
Because kiss is a nastalga act and most people would like to see the real deal, not a fill-in who steps behind the kit when contract agreements cant be met between peter and the rest of the band
I've been kiss fan for years.... Since you tube cam along I have been able tyo watch a ton of video's of both Carr and Singer... Singer is better than Carr (and I am a Carr fan) no doubt about it. Criss just isn't a rocker. Maybe in 72' he was.
Of course it is great. But your missing the point. It is overplaying, especially the classics. KISS was and is not a drum oriented band to the point of Bonham, Cozy Powell, etc. Nor were the Beatles or Stones. Listen to the first 11 KISS albums. The other albums were KISS going with the times or styles of metal. Even Paul will state that most of that music he would soon forget.

This Man is A freak of nature. He can adapt to any band's songs and make them his Own, Brilliant!

You can really tell here just how much eric is holding back today
Yeah thats so sad. Probably because of Gene and Paul telling him to do so
I was at this gig and attended the small drum clinic the night before .. I was only 17 at the time and Eric and his management snuck me into this gig such an amazing night
Eric Singer does it for me every time. Solid musicianship. 👍😘

Man Eric sounds great period! All you guys on here with your opinions, debates and self righteous rants! Lol!
Could someone bring back the drum clinic footage from Dallas '95? It's vanished from the 'tube of late but is way better quality than this one.

@Baritonevoice67 i suppose you're a drummer- some pro with 30 + years experience and in a successful multi national band right?
Bad news: I'm not as good as Eric Singer
Good news: at least I can handle the focus on my camera
