I had a 4.0 jeep Cherokee with a fogger single nosel no jets full of timing and it went through 6 big bottles and a few 10 pound bottles. It was 30 plus 10 pound bottles and it would fly. Hills that I use to have to get a run at I could start from the bottom from a stand still. I sold it and the guy rode it forever without the nitrous but a spark plug ground strap broke and hurt the motor. It was more fun than anything I’ve ever done.
Richard I was just wondering... alot of guys don't realize they have another option for their LS ignition controller. Daytona Sensors part# 119007 may not be as popular, but is made in the U.S. and it a nice piece. 480$ gets the controller and harness. I would like to see a comparison of the MSD and Dayton. I know that may not be feasible considering you already have the MSD in house at Westech. Thank you for all you do Richard, we appreciate you!
I have read numerous reports of the msd setup having problems. I can't remember exactly what, seems like maybe timing wasn't very stable. People that switched to the daytona one reported much better results. This may or may not indicate a widespread problem with the msd stuff, I don't know.
I had the msd 6014 on a nitrous 5.3 s10 full weight with th400 and good suspension ran 10.90s forever on a 150 shot footbraking with the wrong coverter never had a issue u can record logs individual cylinder timming you can do alot if u wanna swap to turbo it still works to around 21 pounds or so with the built in map sensor
A nitrous drift car would get expensive quick. A street racing or drag car could use this setup for sure. The amount spent on nitrous after only 5 refills would cover the turbo + parts...although I know not everyone wants to go down the turbo route. Nitrous definitely has it's utility in sleeper builds as well. Hide the bottle in a gym bag!
I guess you would probably want a 6.0 but once you have the rpm it's making good power but I assume a button that adds 200 hp or more is probably less controllable than desired
@@james10739 Window switch will only spray between a set rpm range at wot. This is definitely doable in a drift car to come on gradually at whatever rpm you want within reason. Although I do want a red button under a cover on my shifter lol
@Russell_and_Rosko I mean you don't want to spray like 200 at like 2000 rpm since that's going to be like 500 ft/ lbs or something but maybe it would be doable if it was progressive but I don't know

I would not say double the stroke but , if you have a na motor that makes 600 Hp you hit it with 600 shot of nitrous you gonna make 1200 plus As you said with boost a 500 Hp na motor will make 1000 Hp above or at 1 bar It’s all math and science

Appreciate you and all your videos. Great informative stuff... Again, I do think videos comparing the LS 6.2 vs 6.4L Hemi and addition testing on the 392 Hemi would be very popular videos. I wish I would have kept my old 6.4L Hemi Engine which blew a Lifter, I would have donated to you. I think many would like to see testing on 392 vs 376, 383...
I really liked this video, it was very interesting. I'd like to build something similar but I don't have any of the tools or parts. What kind of budget should I expect if I'm starting from scratch, including tools?

Build a cheap 393 Windsor! There pretty popular, and I'd like to build one for my 94F150 flareside! I know a 460bis cheap. But everyone does tho. And i already have tci tci c4 and a nitrous setup!😂
What do I have to loose! The 460's are cheap! And I'm still considering my options! But, that hit of 500ft of torque right off the line! We've ran both combinations! In lighter combinations the Windsor combinations are faster! I have a tci c4, it's worth 30 something horse powered over a c4 small block combo. But, a 460 combination with a c6 will last forever! Considered a turbo Windsors combo, but this is just shits and giggles! A 200 shot of gas on a 460! Who cares if UT breaks, we got 3 of them! I'm 63, my father left me the truck! I bought another truck for spare parts! If I decide I wanna go faster, I'll get a set of ladder bars and build a real big block Ford!
Is it possible could you make a video on build a 6.0 421 plzzzz im in the process of going that route and would love to see a video on one being built no one on youtube has made a video about one
But no one has ever said , ok so at track we leave at 3800 rpm and peak is 6000. and added nitrous at 5000 and made 100 + hp so they pick up all of that ET in the small window rpm? or not? making .75 or better E.T. Drop or less?
Oh snap lol you answered my question. Na power on that 5.3 with maximize timing for na pick up even more on the nitrous. 29* is a lot lol but it held . Next week I’m gonna try this with boost gonna maximize the timing na and leave everyone else alone and go to 1 bar see what it do lol of course on good gas’s Thanks Richard
usually recommended if going for the no prep race side I'd recommend a 6 an feed and a high flowing plate. my nitrous outlet kit for fuel injection dies around a 400 shot. Edit... it's the plate that runs out at 400 not the line.
what ive learned over the years a 4an nitrous feed line it usually dies out in the 275ish area. 6an feed will feed quite a bit more lol.

there would be no difference in power if they both provide the same timing

Then you go find what is left of your transmission after the nitrous hit! And that is always great fun!

Adding even basic progressive nitrous controller would allow you to bring some nitrous in MUCH earlier and augment the lower end power as well.

Thoughts on 4.8 pistons in a 5.3 to bump up compression? Would it be worth it or even work with a mild cam due to valve clearance.
does not change p-v

Richard, great video! I was wondering if you always install a DOD/AFM/VVT delete to these 5.3 motors?
none of these LM7 5.3l motors had and of those-but the LH6 is getting DOD Delete
I don't recall anything being done to the bottom end of this engine. I didn't think stock internals could handle that much juice. Please clarify.
they can-we have made 1543 hp with a stock bottom end ls (with ring gap and boost)
