    Good video and explanation of the various models! I have had mine for 2 months now and am really pleased. I have probably a little over of half an acre of a "kidney bean" looking layout within 5 acres that is not your typical "garden" square shape. Being a rather "non-boxy" layout did cause the random-pattern nature of my L model to miss a few spots here and there until I quite frankly trained myself to let it run longer during the week to be able to effectively mow the whole lawn. Since I am maxing out the capabilities in terms of pure recommended area and length of border wire, I have gotten creative with using rock borders around trees and other things to take advantage of the bump avoidance system. I even found that a 55 gallon drum cut in half is the perfect fit for placing over the top of my septic treatment plant top caps. "Billy" (what I named him) was able to climb the top cap and he ate the PVC vent cap on the top of one. He also ate a year and a half old Japanese maple tree. I blame myself for being too lazy to surround it with stone when I told myself 2 days before, though. Otherwise, there have been just a few spots I had to adjust the wire to solve problems. I have a thin leaf Bermuda grass lawn in Northern Mississippi, USA.

    Thanks for your review! I was wondering what would happen if you block the part after the charging station? I would like to place the charging station in a corner where there is very little space after the charging station but at least a meter before.

      It needs to be able to enter from the right and be able to exit from the left for edge cutting, I have mine with a 90 degree left soon after but it dose need to exit to the left for edge cutting

    Really helpful! Just wondering what you would suggest as I have 2 lawns connected by a level path. As I understand I can run a guide wire from the back lawn to the front lawn so it can mow both areas is that right?

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  3 года назад +1

      yes, Not yet tried myself but you can run a wire, under slabs for example and the landroid will follow it, and you can set up zones for it to mow

    Good information for new buyers to be aware of highlighting the new 2021 Plus models. For people with smaller lawns (S300), please note there is NO Cut to edge 2021 model available, which is a shame. The link to the S300 Cut to edge model provided, is for an old model (circa 2017) which obviously does not have any of the great 2021 Plus functions and would not recommend buying this.

    Is it getting stuck on the way home, or against the boundary wire all the time yet?… I hate the mowers that are rear wheel drive, and don’t have a guide wire. After switching to a Gardena, I never have to go and kick the mower all the time anymore.

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  2 года назад +2

      it goes home without getting stuck, it finds the wire when it needs to go and charge, might be 99% or say 5% and follows that home

      @@skyelark155 Very well overall, although it has taken an awful lot of messing around to get it to the stage where I'm not having to rescue it twice a day.
      It was shuffling over the wire wherever traction wasn't perfect, so I ordered some stainless steel grip spikes from Etsy and it's a lot better now.
      The amount of time it has saved / freed up is incredible though.

    I am the owner of a "WR165E" or also called "Landroid M Plus". There are big problems when the mower enters the charging station. The sliding contacts destroy the case. In your video I see that you have the same problem. But you don't go into it. During the drive-in you can clearly see how the case is being scratched. In other parts of the video you can see that the case is already destroyed. Do you have an solution for it? Are you in contact with landroid?

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  2 года назад

      The last right hand turn in my video is at 90 degrees, if you follow the instructions, it should do past and then back at a angle, this would allow it to come into my dock not so tight, also if the line in is a little further from the wall the mower would not be as close to the contacts. I’m not in contact with works, as I purchased this myself like everyone else

    Does the plus version has a mulch function?

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  2 года назад

      none of the landroid or robotic mores as far as i know actually have a mulch function, what they do do is cut the grass regularly, the grass clippings are so small they just drop down to the roots of the grass where the naturally mulch down by themselves and help condition the grass, so no raking or disposing of grass clippings an in my experience the grass has got into much better condition because of this

    • @user-qm2lv2nl2b

      @@RichManPoorTech the M500, so not the plus is descripted with the mulch function. But if the plus cuts little pieces and drops it as fertilization, it's good to know. We want to buy the m500 plus but are still doubting a bit.

    Great video - thanks! I have a small garden (100m2) and would be keen to know your views on the best options available - i have been looking at 1) WORX WR130E S300 Landroid Robotic Mower 300m² 2) Flymo EasiLife Go 250 Robotic Lawn Mower 250m2 and 3) LawnMaster L10 Robot Lawnmower 20V Max. Whilst price is a factor, I am keen to be able to programme using a decent app, and i'd prefer security features and cut to edge (but i dont think any of these have this?). Would value your opinions - thanks!

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  2 года назад +1

      I have only used the Worx landroid M so can’t really comment on the other brands, the worx is Europe’s best selling robotic mower, I think because of the ballance between price build and features and I’m happy with mine, I do feel security could be better, the app and smart functions Seam to work all ok, if I was buying myself another robotic mower, at this time it would be another landroid

    Not the best design that it does not have a lockable compartment for all addons.
    The sensors cost close to 300 Euros (half the price of the mower) and can be stolen in 2 seconds by just pulling them off...
    Also the addons are like addons on a BMW, the base mower is 600 Euros and addons can cost well over 1000....
    Great review though :)

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  3 года назад

      Addons always add to the price, but at least you could buy a more basic version, as with your car analogy, my parents bought a merc because the jag xj didn’t do electric seats unless you bought a top sovereign spec and my mother couldn’t drive the xj unless it had electric seats which was more than there budget allowed at the time
