A lot of the time the seat won't go back and forth because a tiny rock gets stuck between the gears , try taking seat out and spinning the gears manually and then plug seat in and give it a try . On my g35 the seat wouldn't go back or forward and I was gonna replace motor and decided to spin the gear myself to see if it worked and it didn't so I inspected and seem rocks and got them out then it spun . And it worked . Saved money for me .
Alot of times, its not the motor in the seat that goes bad, but rather the switch itself. My used 350z seats didnt move forward or back with the switch, but if i applied 12 volts directly to the motor leads, it moved fine. just a tip if youre having trouble.
This is a good video, I agree with all that; I have an 05 6-MT and my driver side seat motor is done. It barely move forward or back, lucky it's left were it is fit for my height. But these days I use aftermarket bucket seat and keep the factory seat for annual safety state inspections. ...Yes, another g35 channel, more DIYs for everybody. I wanna see how you do the "temp fix" on the seat motor if possible.
@@DzusINC throw on some new bushings or maybe some front/rear sway bars. You can also get a master silicone hose set for your G on Z1. Maybe stainless steel brake lines + brake master cylinder brace from z1 which is currently on sale. Just some ideas hahaha
The seat problem could also be the actual switch that needs replaced. They go bad or need a good cleaning sometimes to make good contact. I cleaned mine out when my 04 G driver side stopped working and I cleaned the switch and it started working just fine again.
@@DzusINC ive got a bomb ass Silver 2004 6MT g35 coupe... got multiple misfire po300 right now... right front brembo caliper locked up & we fixed that just waiting to fix misfire.. tried to fix valve cover gaskets and passenger side is leaking so... vdc and slip light on.. camshaft position sensor not plugging up gotta get pig tail somewhere... what head lamps are those? D2?
