Yes more MD2 speedpaint videos! PS my SP set is missing some essential colours ...Glory hole Grey; Flaccid Boner; Hard-on Leather; Sand Gonad. Must be in the upcoming Smutty Mega set 😒.
They look incredible wow such a time saver. And the look is incredible. For a board gamer who the game is more important having miniatures that look like that in short time is awesome.
I just got this set of paints and awaiting this game in the mail. I appreciate this video and you are really funny. I especially loved the intro. You got a new sub.
@@WatchItPaintIt I finally finished painting midarra and am 70% down with all my shadows of brimstone. These turned out great. Love the variety you can achieve with a small selection of paints. This video will be extremely helpful when I start this hobby in the very near future.
Oooh good luck. Batch painting really tests on stamina. I wish you the best of speed and luck and at least at the end of it you’re going to have an awesome blood rage set!
Great video! I feel like the more Speed Paint videos I watch, the better the outcome vs Contrast. This video alone has made me now strongly consider the speed paint being a must have… before it was a nice option for the future, but now I need it. Lol
With my Kings of War army, I started making them look individual, but found it was taking too long, so I painted them all the same. Excellent tutorial by the way. I just ordered the entire set of Speed Paints.
Once I am done painting all the 3D stuff these are my next mob to paint... I will probably be following what you did but changing things a bit of course. Good job though... They look amazing.
Hold crap these looks incredible. I cannot wait for Miniature Market to ship my Speed Paints. Really love the philosophy of same color pallet in different areas.
This looks super good to me (a very amateur painter) I cant wait to my hands on these paints and paint my own figures. Im quite impressed with the look!
Amazing intro! I can't wait for my Massive Darkness 2 stuff and my Speedpaint starter pack to arrive. I'm going to have to use a quick method to paint if I'm going to get all of the stuff covered and Speedpaint looks as good an option as any. I would love to see you paint literally anything from MD2.
Loved this! Thank you so much. I haven’t painted a miniature before, and I’m going to try with these massive darkness ones. I’d love to see more of those painted! Thanks! And I’ll probably do a bit of variation when I paint although not a ton
I don't know about using speed paints on higher quality miniatures since I'd want them to look close to a show piece, but I absolutely love using speed paints for my board game miniatures. They can achieve table top quality results without breaking too much sweat and effort.
I usually paint the same miniature uniform and allow for some small differences in the finishing touches, like metallic wear, dirt, and blood splatter (mostly so I don't have to be accurate with that).
I don't mind batch painting, as long as I have something cool on in the backgound, and I like the sense of atchievement when the whole batch is done. I have all of my Zombicide Blackplague and most of my Massive Darkness models painted this way, then there is a massive amount of individual monsters and characters to complete, then there is Zombiecide Invader and Massive Darkness 2.
When it's something like these skeleton warriors, where variety would be normal, as they aren't wearing a uniform, I would vary up the paints jobs like you did. It just seems more natural.
Ok i have now painted this skeleton mob with your excellent guide! Going left to right in the box the FIRE ENTITIES are next, so im really curious about how you would do them with the speedpaints!
I tend to do a lot of unique applications of characters with the same colors. I like the variety-but like with actual real life soldiers-they might all be wearing the same uniform but they're not all the same however.
Sorry for the noobness but I really like how you did the bases and I would love to see your tutorial on it but I couldn’t find it on your channel! Any help?

I would have bought from your profile if you had some links for the paints. I checked the Kit links but didn't see a paint link. I am from Canada and ended up getting it from Sunward Hobbies. Mega set was 106 bucks Cnd. Hoping I can replicate reasonably your paint jobs. Love your work. Thanks
Hello ! Thx for your video :) . Would you please give me the link to buy the paint brush you are using in this video ( for exemple at 4'05'' in the video). Thank you for your response. Best regards, Vincent.
I didn’t know about the reactivation concerns until I was part way through this painting. I didn’t overspill much, in fact I even corrected my mistake on camera! It didn’t reactivate… I’m sure it’s a real issue, but I keep dodging it! I’m going to paint more carefully so I don’t have to correct overspill going forwards, think that’s how I can counter the issue
Love watching speedpaint video's, waiting to get some myslef. I think that gravelord brought the metals down a little too much, thinking you should have cut it with some speedpaint medium, at least on the blades
Think this is a good call. I was thinking similar. If I wasn’t trying to stick to Speedpaint for everyone I’d probably use the contrast grey on the blades as it’s lighter
Thank you for the video (popped up on my feed today!). Out of interest, how have you found using these paints from AP vs. Citadel Contrast? Appreciate there are a lot of vids out there right now addressing this but thought I'd ask as have been using contrast for some time now and really made the difference for me getting back to the painting table after a 20+ year break.
Looking forward to seeing how you get on as I plan on doing a whole bunch of skaven with my mega set.. One question though have you tried combining speedpaint with quickshade? Not sure my ears are playing tricks on me or maybe this is another side effect of having covid but did you say "sand gonats", "hardon leather" and "gloryhole grey"???
I cannot wait for my MD2 shipment to show up. Supposedly another week or 2 to the USA. This is really fun to watch as I will be using this to help me when I get started. Really nice results for a rookie like I am to painting. If I can get results this good, I'd be pretty damn happy. Do you have a link to the sword straightening video? I haven't decided if Im going the unique or uniform route on the minions yet. Tough decision.
Ah ok. Thx for the link. I'd like to use that stuff but all the map tiles seem to skew more black and red. I wish Army Painter had a black and gray mix. Brown just seemed like it might look funny on the tiles. I ended up buying the Black Lava paste from Vallejo, but I haven't used it yet. It's just solid black though... No color variation. Appreciate the quick reply! I just got 35 more of these guys primed over the weekend. Many days of painting ahead!
Amazing! couple questions on the varnish, how much time did you waited for the varnish? and you did a second varnish spray after the metallics and details? thx!
I waited about 20 minutes. I should have done two coats! The black rim chipped off a little! I didn’t do another coat for the metallics. I think it won’t get enough touching you matter on those parts. But I’d use paint on satin varnish if I do
