This was such an amazing tutorial/paint along and I got a sick miniature I was way too scared to touch before! Fingers crossed for more massive darkness 2 watch it painted 😍
Perfect gateway paint job to get my daughter some experience! I bought this expansion with her in mind to get her enjoying the game. She’s gonna be a miniature war gamer soon enough… 😂

As always a great job, I really like the end result so much and thank you for continuing to create these videos while continuing to keep your fun side of not only making mistakes but also creating crazy names for the paints 😂😋👍 And anyway the base is perfect because for such a fabulously ridiculous miniature it needs its base to be too and yes, a kid would love this miniature 🤩👍
Awesome base! I'm gonna have to use that idea! I'm working my way through the MD2 core box with my new AP Speed Paints at the moment. I have not reached the expansion boxes yet - nor will I paint the minis in random order! Getting to know the AP speed paints is a fun process. As usual, I'm learning most from my mistakes. Generally, I'd almost always recommend to add some medium, especially with the darker colours. It just makes the contrast between recesses and edges more pronounced. I already contemplated what colour the hugbear will get. Am torn between pink and all other pastel colour,, especially smurf blue, mint green and sunflower yellow...
Glitter of a yellow, gold, or silver variety can make for decent piles of coins. Good for objective markers, or on bases for characters with a strong "money" theme. (What comes to mind are the chests of gold brought into battle in Dogs Of War armies, from 4th edition Warhammer Fantasy Battles).
I see this technique a lot with the speed paint of using silver and top coat yellow or pallid bone to make a tinted gold. Do you have any thoughts about ever using actual gold metallics with or without a speed paint top coat? I think the results of what you did look great, but I'm trying to figure out if I will ever use my gold paints! Also, I'm biased as I am starting to prime all my MD2 minis but am stuck waiting on the mega set to show up at my local hobby store. I'm happy to see any MD2 figures here on your channel as it is a great cheat tool for me whenever I get to those guys! Some of the bigger bosses look absolutely daunting but bad ass.
It find that purple alchemy is very strong I use two drops of medium to one of paint if not is one of the speed pains that makes many blotches. Is very uneven when drying.
I can agree with that. A balance between speed and quality. Little less effort skipping the medium but a little less good! I’m actually working on some new pinks with this exact miniature in mind with The Army Painter right now!
Great job! I just may paint my set after all. I was waiting the entire video for a gold tooth though… P.S. still waiting for more Death May Die vidyas…
"you probably wont have these exact glitter pots"...you say that but...I went to my local Dollarama here in Toronto and bought some glitter I thought looked good enough since the rest were the fine grain ones, and then I got home and realized I didn't know what a rainbow looked like cause I picked a pack of glitter without red and so then I decided to double check your video and lo and behold I got the exact same set of minibottles featured here....to conclude this 'tale', I am still waiting for my Massive Darkness :( I got the glitter, I just need the bear!
Hahaha! What are the chances of that!! That’s amazing. Also love you’ve got stuck with glitter and no game :-D hopefully you won’t be waiting much longer before you can get some glitter on a base!
amazing! Does using the metallic paint as a base layer then using GW contrast paint over it still work the same as with using AP? I have seen you do it a bunch with AP speedpaints, can't remember if you done it with the other product or not. But love the glitter base touch
Love your channel !! Thanks so much. I only wish I could get even close to the results. I started painting Marvel United with SpeedPaint...I'm a walking disaster ;)
Thanks for the praise! Oooh I bet Marvel United is hard to paint with Speedpaints have you seen the few I did on the channel? There was nothing speedy about how I did those minis! I’ve actually filmed speedpainting some chibis, I need to finish those videos! It’s much harder IMHO but still look great!!!
Haha. Glad you’re enjoying it. It makes it a little more fun for me while I’m filming trying to think up a silly name that goes. Probably stop in the next few videos though once I’ve had my fun :-D

Thanks man! Yeah get totally stuck in! This is a lovely simple one to make look great! Best of luck
love it. Cant wait to paint mine the exact same. I have 3 daughters and I have plenty of glitter!
That glitter base is amazing!!!😆
It looked a lot better after the dry brush.

Hahahha! Nice work! My daughter enjoys painting occasionally. It’s a lot of fun having her paint with me :) good luck with your recruitment
This is great! I would love to see the fallen angels and undead from MD2 done with Speedpaints.
I came here for the bear, and stayed for the glitter
Fantastic. I love these videos way more than I should. You should also be in charge of naming colours from now on.
Don't you jump around - You Finish That Box!!! (we both know if you don't you're going to have unpainted unicorns and cherubs forever)
You know me too well!!!

This video is awesome, congratulations! Could we have more speed painting videos on Massive Darkness 2? That's so cool!
Will try and do some more when I get chance!!
Love the glitter!!
Love the glitter work! And your occasionall tungue slip! 😂
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the feed back

That Base!!!! Wonderful idea! Really nice and fun. :-)

I think a regular gold works quite well with crusader skin over it, to give it a more worn look.

Yes we need better pink, turquoise and white.
Finally. An excuse to feel like a 5 year old girl.
Haha nice quick job! I might need to get some Army Painter speedpaints
Haha. I actually had a belly laugh with prolapse agony

P.S. still waiting for more Death May Die vidyas…
Cuddle team leader made some gains
Thank you for your efforts, I enjoy watching your videos! This is a great miniature only thing bothering me is that you didn't fill those gasps
I actually filled the ones I saw!!!
@@WatchItPaintIt Maybe I saw wrong and/or the speedpaint worked so well in the recesses it fooled my eyes.. Thanks for your work :-)

Should work just as well! Mike’s video on this coming Friday does metallics using GW paint as a base! Have a look what you think then :-)

Ok ok, A hole white? C’mon now lol
Haha. Thought that one was easy :-D
So sad you didn’t use white glitter on the belly
Haha! Even more sparkles. Wonder if pink glitter would have worked on the fur!
What did you use to seal the glitter, satin or gloss?
I used gloss for the glitter
@@WatchItPaintIt thanks
Prolapse Agony :D
Also, those eyes look absolutely psychotic. I love it!
I love it! Haha also please keep the mistakes in , in all future vids :)
Please continue to always use the wrong names for these paints. Thank you.

The sinister eyes you gave that bear really make the model. He is evily cute? He looks great but the glitter made it perfect!
kinda messed up to give the speed paints funny names while leaving out Matthew White's full name
pretty sad i missed the kick started on this ;S
Maybe over zealous swallow
Roy G. Biv! It's not that hard...
yeah you lost a subscriber with this one....maybe try to stay in your lane and not get so political?
Wait what? What politics?
That's ok, you've gained a subscriber. Love watching the speed paint episodes while waiting for my mega set to be delivered
@@WatchItPaintIt yeah, it was that whole 5 year old girls liking 🌈 bit. Very edgy politics you are straying into there.
My 5 year old daughter does love rainbows and glitter? And so does a 37 year old man… think you took it the wrong way but all the best to you
Political? Do you have a stroke?
