Thank you for this information. Your tutorial is excellent! I just bought the model that you've demonstrated and now I feel confident regarding how it is to be used. Thanks again!
@Neuzeit09 Sorry for my delayed reply, I saw your comment today. Well, Quarta Radex is telling in the instruction manuals, that the obtained results must not be used as official values (that is, that the counter could make errors). I am sure they say that, because they don't want problems, that is people that could denounce them because a certain measurement was not superaccurate. Anyway, the reputation of this device is AMAZING, and all professionals use it.
Thanks for the vid. 1503 carries out averages automatically, from the manual; "The first result of observation is displayed as average value of four short cycles, second - as average value of two cycles of observation, third - as average value of three cycles of observation and further each following result -- it's average value of four previous observations." It allows for spikes as well.
At the end of fourth cicle it will show the average value of fourth + three previous ones. It is not necessary calculate mean value by calculator. If the fourth cicle measure is very highter then previous ones, then the counter will show the only last cicle (mean) value.
anomaliamedia That is right, it's not necessary to calculate the mean value with a calculator. When the video was edited, the initial idea was to show how to proceed with a fast measurement of two cycles and then, getting the mean value. However, finally, it was done with 4 cycles, although as you said, the 4th cycle calculate the mean value. Very nice observation. You are right ;)
so for those persons, that are working high radiation levels environments, you can set off the threshold so you'll see the radiation levels in the screen, but won't listen any sound.
Thanks for watching the video. I recommend you to buy one, those devices are expensive but they give you total relax. After purchasing one you will be sure everything around you is fine or not, and then you will be protected always.
I never tried that thing, but if you switch the threshold in levels to off what I imagine will happen is that you WON'T BE WARNED ABOUT RADIATIONS LEVELS AROUND YOU, basically I imagine you'll see the radiation levels in the screen, but you won't listen any sound. I never tried it. The idea of setting of the threshold perhaps is thought for people that are wearing protection suits but are working constantly with high radiation levels. Would be very disturbing be listening sounds constantly...
That information you are giving is very interesting, the counter provide results with an average taken in advance. It's strange that Quarta Radex don't mention this in their instruction manual. Anyway, taking an extra average is not bad, it would even give us a more accurate measurement, but great info anyway :D
Interesting question. I am not a nuclear radiation expert, but electromagnetic radiation is not the same as ionizing radiation, SEE WIKIPEDIA: Electromagnetic_radiation and Ionizing_radiation, to measure the electromagnetic spectrum you need other counters, for example the PCE-EMF 823 to measure electromagnetic radiation from TVs and electronic devices. For the electromagentic spectrum close to you, you should talk to an expert to find the best device.

Jeff and team It does. Yes. It's a way to alarm you about dangerous radition. To be honest right now I don't remember if you can mute it, however in the video I explore deeply the menus, so you can have a clear idea of the available options. Cheers
Thank you so much. I was trying to make this instrument harder than it was! You gave very clear instructions, making the unit easy to learn.
You're welcome, glad you liked my video :D

@jcpand Thanks to you for watching it, and greetings to the Bronx, a place that I wanted to visit, and I never was there :( !

if i go to levels in the menu and switch it to off what does this do??
Good video. I live in Japan and I'm thinking of buying one.

hello, can i measure the impact of tv boadcast transmitters in my area?
Good Job Dude!!

¿Por qué en España la media es 20 mSV??

Thanks, video tutorial is very helpful to me, because I just have this device to work
I'm glad you liked it :D
Does it make noise

Helped a lot thank you..........
You are welcome :D
