MEDANO PASS TO GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL PARK

On May 27, 2023 Memorial Day Weekend, we joined the Colorado Springs Christian 4-Wheel Club for an adventure over Medano Pass and into the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Many stream crossings and a few mud holes but we all made it. The park was so full Connie and I could not find a legal place to park. All the parking lots around the park were full. We exited through the front gate and found miles of vehicles lined up to get in.

We did this trail some years back but in the opposite direction.. Also it was mid Sept and hardly no one at Great Sand Dunes NP

Wow! We've never seen traffic like that entering the park! The last few times we visited that area, we stayed at Oasis.
