The biggest complaint I have about KOTM is how much they nerfed Ghidorah. And I love Ghidorah so much so it was a huge disappointment for me. But yeah he is the most intimidating probably because we now have good cgi when back then they used puppets and people in costumes.

That is true! I just feel like out of all the continuties theirs just not that much of a proper rivalry between Heisei godzilla and king ghidorah. Its a good fight but at the end of the day it was just another monster for Godzilla to defend himself and earth by proxy from. In showa and monsterverse theres a bitter grudge that could be felt even if they are animalistic beings.
Heisei King Ghidorah doesn't have a good showing of power like Legendary KG. He would only be more powerful because Heisei Godzilla is stronger (maybe?) than Legendary Godzilla.

Also the rest of the Ghidorahs were backed up by the guide books while MV Ghidorah had nothing but the film and lore. Kotm does have a guide book, but it's a production book rather than a description of the monsters.

Second fight, Godzilla was winning again until Ghidorah got power boosted from absorbing electricity from the electrical grid. Granted, Godzilla did get a boost from the bomb, but he was winning in both fights until human interference. Godzilla beat boosted Ghidorah after Mothra gave him the big succ energy. Godzilla was at advantage during each if their fights until interference happened

Its a toss between Monsterverse ghidorah and Showa ghidorah. I think they both have the most expressive personalities and and interesting mannerisms. I like heisei more because of this vid but I guess he just seems to have the least impactful dymanic with his version of godzilla, the grand rivalry you see with the other versions isn’t there. Cretaceous king ghidroah actually looks pretty cool now that I remember right I liked it more than even his grand form! Kaiser is pretty badass too but I always think of him as seperate to king ghidorah honestly.
Great video, personally I think Keizer Ghidorah is the strongest due to the statements and the narrative of it not only being the final boss of the Millennium saga, but the entire 50 year history until that point, since final wars was a celebration and anniversary film. The kaiju encyclopedia for the 2014 game also states that: "Keizer Ghidorah, the last monster to appear in the Japanese Godzilla series, is Godzilla’s strongest rival monster." I think that this should make final wars Godzilla also scale near the top, if not the strongest live action Godzilla from a narrative and word of God point.
This guy right here. I congratulate you for having common sense. Most people have tried to debate Destoroyah vs Keizer Ghidorah and ultimately lose when you take statements like that into account. Keizer Ghidorah is definitely the strongest live action Godzilla enemy.

Considering that Kaiser only Lost to powered up FW Goji, and was wrecking normal FW, and Destoroyah was having some trouble along the fight with Burning, i think Kaiser is a little stronger than Destoroyah, remember this is all my opinion.

@@TheDestoroyahh I am not downplaying him, like I said "I think Kaiser is a little stronger than Destoroyah", of course he was having trouble fighting burning Godzilla mostly because of his vulnerability to high temperatures. If it was a fight, I think it could go either way, depending on intelligence and strategies, so in a fight for me it would be 40% Kaiser wins (damaged of course), 40% Destoroyah win (damaged too), 20% they two tie (die on the fight or one win and dies later by injuries)

I admit my first reaction was surprise to see Monsterverse Ghidorah low on the list but it has been many years since I've watched most of the previous generation films of the franchise, and when last I did I certainly was not viewing them with the mindset of observing the power scaling, and your analysis and break downs are spot on/make perfect sense. Spaghetti ghidorah depended ALOT on his ability to not being able to physically manifest himself, thats why he lost so easily, he didnt have any experience in fighting, i think becoming a italian dish its a better career for him

I have realized that Ghidorah from Godzilla the ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle also has hands. If you count that particular Ghidorah in the list of Ghidorah’s. Keizer Ghidorah would be the first Ghidorah with hands but in terms of just the movies. Keizer Ghidorah is indeed the only Ghidorah with hands so far.
Heisei Ghidorah's origins in a nutshell: Start off as three smol, adorable winged critters that did a fusion when hit by a atomic bomb becoming a enormous, three-headed, horrifying monstrosity that nearly ended Godzilla, even after Godzilla got juiced by a nuclear submarine. But then gets defeated, brought back to life as a mecha, tries to defeat Godzilla again and still got defeated. Now how would anime Ghidorah fair against Goku lol. Or better yet, Grand Ghidorah against Goku.

I don’t know what you mean, he didn’t look very physically taxed at all. Most of those battles weren’t very difficult for him anyway and he seemed to had time to recover in between going from place to place when he did. It would be exhausting for a lesser monster perhaps but g mans looking fine to me by the monster x fight. He proved more powerful than the first form of the monster anyway so I doubt it would have gone that much different.
Greater Grievobeast 55 he literally went from continent to continent fighting monsters. He was fighting gigan in the artic to fighting zilla in Australia and then immediately went to Asia. Fought three monsters at once too. He got a lot of mileage on him
A. Person he still doesn’t look tired at all from the whole trip. Which is an impressive stamina/speed feat, but it also means he wasn’t in a weakened state when fighting monster x. If anything, later on in the battle when godzilla was pounding him into the dirt it looked he was gaining more vigor than before.
@@6secsofcj37 Godzilla put little effort and power into the majority of those fights. You can see that he isn't tired at all throughout the whole film even though he traveled such distances. When he began his battle with Monster-X, he had all the energy in the world to fight on par with Monster-X. Not sure where you got that from.

I mean, he dies on a regular basis, even suicide runs, has asymmetrical warfare always available, returning from the dead is his thing (respawning before respawning was even a video game thing), and always respawns as a better version of Mothra. My man you are a literal God for making these Godzilla videos. I saw this on my feed early this morning and could not wait to get home from work tonight to sit down and watch. I admit my first reaction was surprise to see Monsterverse Ghidorah low on the list but it has been many years since I've watched most of the previous generation films of the franchise, and when last I did I certainly was not viewing them with the mindset of observing the power scaling, and your analysis and break downs are spot on/make perfect sense. Your videos are exceptional and this one continued that trend phenomenally. I am hyped as fuck for more Godzilla related content from you in the future, 10/10 would recommend.

I have realized that Ghidorah from Godzilla the ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle also has hands. If you count that particular Ghidorah in the list of Ghidorah’s. Keizer Ghidorah would be the first Ghidorah with hands but in terms of just the movies. Keizer Ghidorah is indeed the only Ghidorah with hands so far.

Heisei Ghidorah's origins in a nutshell: Start off as three smol, adorable winged critters that did a fusion when hit by a atomic bomb becoming a enormous, three-headed, horrifying monstrosity that nearly ended Godzilla, even after Godzilla got juiced by a nuclear submarine. But then gets defeated, brought back to life as a mecha, tries to defeat Godzilla again and still got defeated.
Now how would anime Ghidorah fair against Goku lol. Or better yet, Grand Ghidorah against Goku.

Yeah, he had been fighting and touring the world for several hours before he fought him.
I don’t know what you mean, he didn’t look very physically taxed at all. Most of those battles weren’t very difficult for him anyway and he seemed to had time to recover in between going from place to place when he did. It would be exhausting for a lesser monster perhaps but g mans looking fine to me by the monster x fight. He proved more powerful than the first form of the monster anyway so I doubt it would have gone that much different.
Greater Grievobeast 55 he literally went from continent to continent fighting monsters. He was fighting gigan in the artic to fighting zilla in Australia and then immediately went to Asia. Fought three monsters at once too. He got a lot of mileage on him
A. Person he still doesn’t look tired at all from the whole trip. Which is an impressive stamina/speed feat, but it also means he wasn’t in a weakened state when fighting monster x. If anything, later on in the battle when godzilla was pounding him into the dirt it looked he was gaining more vigor than before.
@@6secsofcj37 Godzilla put little effort and power into the majority of those fights. You can see that he isn't tired at all throughout the whole film even though he traveled such distances. When he began his battle with Monster-X, he had all the energy in the world to fight on par with Monster-X. Not sure where you got that from.

Does anyone else notice that Mothra seems to always be the ultimate support kaiju? I mean, he dies on a regular basis, even suicide runs, has asymmetrical warfare always available, returning from the dead is his thing (respawning before respawning was even a video game thing), and always respawns as a better version of Mothra. I mean, not even the evil bat counterpart of him is anything more than a mere pest.

In each of his fights, he literally was being beaten up by a godzilla in the Antarctica battle and was also in the Boston battle before he got that Power up.
