  • Solitude! A last minute decision to take Friday off work saw me heading up to Glen Etive for a rare solo outing. The weather forecast looked perfect, and these three Munros (Ben Starav, Beinn nan Aighenan and Glas Bheinn Mhor) were part of the handful I have left to bag that can realistically be done as a day trip from Glasgow. As with our last outing, this was a route that is normally advertised as two separate walks, but it was just too tempting to tag on Beinn nan Aighenan and get all three done in one go. Another long one, but absolutely worth it.

Managed jut two of these tops recently, certainly didn't get the views you had.
I met an ultra runner who done all 5 on that day.
    Different animal altogether. 🐐

Doing 3 of them was quite a tough walk. Doing all 5 is extremely impressive 👏 Hopefully you get better views next time you’re out 😃

Thanks Paul! Glad you enjoyed the video - it’s always good to find like minded people out there 😃 Looks like we can get back to some proper hills at the end of April, although it has been fun exploring the local area too. -Douglas

Hi Billy, thanks for watching! Haha, you’re definitely right about starting points - I’ve had a few similar experiences where I’ve been driving about trying to figure out where to park / start. I’m glad you’re finding the videos helpful 😀

lovely video - good route - perfect conditions, but how about calming the music down - Scottish mountains can be impressive without bad club music crowbarred in - just a thought

Thanks Richard, glad you enjoyed the video. It sure was a lovely day for it 😃 Sorry to hear you didn’t like the music in this video - I suppose that’s subjective. Hopefully the music in some of our other videos will be more to your tastes 👍
