- We decided to take full advantage of what could easily be the best walking conditions of the year with a short journey to Loch Lomond to climb Ben Vorlich. It was a much shorter walk than some of our previous outtings however rivalled any of them in terms of views. Make sure to watch to the end to get a taste of the spectacular vista over Loch Lomond.
Other walks mentioned in this video:
4 Munros and a Bog - • Ben Lui 4 Munro Circui...
Solitutde at the End of the Glen - • Ben Starav 3 Munro Cir...

Hello Explorers really enjoyed this vlog, so inspirational, especially loved the drone shots at the summit :)
Hi Liz, glad you enjoyed the video! Thankfully it was one of those calm days where you can fly the drone at the summit 😃 -Douglas
Great video guys👍🏻 absolutely stunning views all around looks like cracking day 😍 this Munro is one of my favorite did it few years back
Thanks! It was pretty much perfect conditions 😃
Hope to do this soon so thanks for the insight. I enjoy it when you provide advice such as parking and what route to take. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Craig. I think a lot of the verges have been coned off now so it’s limited to the actual car park now. Definitely a busy one at the weekends. Hope you enjoy the walk!
Very well covered and informative. Done it a few times but many years ago......going to try the new path tomorrow. Enjoyed content very much. Well done lads.
Thanks Del, glad you enjoyed the video. Hope the weather is kind to you for the hike!
Nice one lads, Ben Vorlich was my first Munro, been up it twice now and camp on it the last time . Out of the Arrochar Munros Ben Vorlich has best view of the Loch . Cheers Stevie
Thanks Stevie. It’s certainly the best trip we’ve had on the Arrochar Alps. Would be an amazing place to camp as well I think, hope you got a great sunset/sunrise from up there.
@@HighlandHikers Yeah it was stunning , it made up for my first visit . I camped up there Dec19 ..Awesome it was ..need to do it again for a video
@@HighlandHikers PS new sub, i'll watch out for your vids guys cheers
Thank you! Sounds like a good trip. Trying some wild camping is on the list!
We seem to have had a really good spell of luck with the weather. Our last few trips have all been in glorious sunshine. Even had to slap on the sun tan lotion for the last one!
👍👍👍
Thanks Lauchlan
Good view over to the Paps of Jura from there as I remember, or does Ben Vane obscure it?
It may do, but looking at the OS map you could potentially see it just to the right of Ben Vane.
@@HighlandHikers I reckon it was from the summit of Ben Vane I’ve viewed them from then. Like you, I did both peaks in quick succession though not on the same day.
Stunning scenery, get channel well worth a subscribe.
Thanks Mark and Milena! Happy travels 😃
Cheers again guys, very useful and informative video. Luckily with the weather forecast looking cold and sunny this Sunday I'm doing this one, looking forward to it. Was there any scrambling involved?
Thanks Marco. No scrambling on this one, just a fairly steep walk up from the access road to the summit. Hope you have a great hike!
@@HighlandHikers yeah weather is looking good, been wanting this one for a few months now.
It’s certainly one of my favourites in the area and I prefer it to it’s neighbour.
Just discovered you guys and loving the videos!!My son and I intended to do Vorlich last year but ended up taking the track that swings up right, away from the main one and ended up scrambling to the top of the mountain which has the pipes running down to the station!!Do you know the name of that one,I have never found out as yet?
Thanks for watching William. It sounds like you took an alternative route to the top of Ben Vorlich. If you went straight up the hill next to the pipes then that eventually takes you to Vorlich’s summit.
What drone are you using?
Hi there. It was the DJI Mavic 2 Pro for this video, but we are now using the DJI Mini 2 since January. Not quite as many features as the pro, but much more portable!
How long does it take to go up and down in total?
It can usually take between 5 and 6 hours for the walk.
Thank you :)
You’re welcome
