The dudes response "He had better taste in women" was incredible! I don't know if I would have been that fast on my feet. So glad he found someone who is awesome and I hope that this lady learned a valuable lesson and never puts down her boyfriend again. My wife went to a women's group one time where women who where married were talking to those recently engaged women. She said all the women ahead of her talked crap about their husbands and she was shocked. She said it came to her and normally she would have just said normal stuff but because of how bad they where she went super positive about me. Others confirmed later, which was nice. It is great to have a positive person who knows to NEVER put down your husband/wife around other people.
Respect is everything in a relationship. With mutual respect comes trust, loyalty and love. OPs ex clearly didn't got that and she never said she was sorry. OP handled it like a boss and quickly understood what needed to be done. Well done
There's no coming back from something like this. OP will always feel insecure with her and constantly wonder if she's really happy with him. Ending things is the right decision. Had he made the remark about her not being "tight enough", she'd be appalled and would feel the same way as him.
How your SO treats you is important. Just as important (and far more revealing) is how they treat you when you are not right there. Good quick response when he over heard her trashing him. Maybe "Smarter too. He figured you out way quicker than I did." might have been as good.
Love,Respect, trust and loyalty are the backbone of a healty relationship. Without one of them there is nithing left. Good story. There was no going back from what she said.
He had better taste and she wasnt brave enough to ask me about ring , simply great. Plus she never told the truth to her mother. She knew he was the best she could ever have but she was by default narcissistic.
So tired of these passive-aggressive ßeta ßoi tales. Instead of ruuuuuning away like a coward, confront like a man, then act, logically assess to resolution, and then, if you choose, leave with your head held high, showing everyone who you truly are. Also, if she was a real narcissist, she would not have slunk off as she did and lived with enduring regret--more proof this is a made-up tale with the end already long decided. Yes, these are fictional stories written by males with a victim mindset.

Respect is paramount in a relationship , truth and trust should follow if there is integrity in your commitment to one another .
OP your action, of just walking out of the party, was a great alpha move.
Good luck to you and congratulations on your handling of the incident and the aftermath.
Good on you. You took the highroad in a swift and straight forward manner.

It wasn't a joke; it was a complaint

Well done OP! Well done.

I would have said,"Why would you say something like that? I don't call you two-ton Taylor."

She missed the " BIG " Guy ....... Not all women are so stupid , and totally disrespectful .
Not good
She made a dumb comment. He is playing games.

Just wow.
Runs out sobbing like a little girly bitch then sulks and avoids instead of confronting the situation
