Should also mention that the battery lasted this entire day of video, which I wasn't expecting. It also lasts for a full day of photography for me. I do turn the camera off when not in use. The startup time of this camera is very quick
It could work for sure. My only hesitation is that I don’t love having a single card for wedding day cameras, but as a B camera I’d be more accepting of that
Nice !!! Been seeing people complain and proclaim that the battery was gonna be piss poor...while others said the new processor helps combat that. Nice vid man, thanks for sharing !
Finally, some actual proper video footage. I’ve watched at least 10 videos on the x100vi so far and nobody showed more than 2 seconds of video footage and just said “not the greatest at video”??!!?? Why?! The footage in this video looks stunning.
Hell yes, so excited to use this as my only camera. No lens switches, no need to change from a video camera to a photo camera, no gimbal needed, no nd filter needed, beautiful, confident autofocus (not perfect, but Fuji’s getting there) compact and doesn’t overheat super quick like the x100v.
The video definitely looks great to me. If someone is buying this camera for video, they just need to be OK with the fixed lens, it is a limitation that can breed creativity and purposeful shooting -- but it might not be for everyone. Being able to have a camera in your pocket that can hold up to some cinematic film cameras is very impressive.
Just rec'd my X100vi today (28 Feb 24). While primarily a stills shooter, your videos show huge potential - I'll now have to give video a serious go! Thank you.
OMG thank you for showing video and doing it straight out of camera.. I've watched so many videos and it seems there is a lot of misinformation going around regarding video capability.. so this clears things up nicely.. she's beautiful
why the algorithm didn't recommend me your channel until i searched for x100vi today, finally a proper video showcasing x100vi video recording capability, cause too many of them talking the same thing, oh the sooc is nice amazing, but none of them show any proper video footage which is more than 30 seconds, thanks alot. i preordered it on day 1 of announcing, was kinda of worry of video quality, thanks for clearing up our thoughts and doubts. instant subscribe for the man
i got the x100vi at launch (thanks Hitomi) and i have taken it for a walk every single day. i still get excited thinking about my next daily x100 excursion. according to me Tokyo itself feels like photography cheating because all you need to do is go for a walk with a camera and come back with 20 great shots. i have lived here for 8 years and i love it more and more. 💌
I've seen capybaras in Brazil, but didn't realize they were hanging out as pets in Japan. Cool to see a video solely on the video side of the x100vi. Thanks for sharing.
Hello, how are you? Very good video. Ask how you recorded these shots. Do you use any luts? I really like the look. Thank you for more information. Greetings.
I’m really interested in the touch to track function in video. Not so much for this camera but the future X-S20 update. Something Fuji has been slacking on in autofocus
So this is straight Classic Negative? No changes to sharpness or colour or white balance etc? Im a classic chrome user but now i might might a quick switch...
Do you still have to change modes to get into video? I love that they added sensor stabilization since I sometimes use my V for videos, but it would be nice to be able to take videos more quickly with less steps.
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto thanks for the response, my guess is they did not make any changes, but being that the camera can take such nice videos it would definitely be nice to be able to make the mode switch quicker.
@paulfrancisphotography I asked one of the Fujifilm guys and he said it’s still the drive mode button to change. Would be awesome to have an update in future firmware to make it easier since this is such a capable video camera
Figured it out! I was able to set the Fn2 button on the front to REC (record video). As far as I can tell, it will use whatever settings you have in photo mode. So, not ideal, but still good to record something quickly.
So in your X-S20 video you said you you preferred that with the 27mm over the X100v. Does that still hold true over the X100VI? Which one would you grab?
Would you notice much decrease in quality using the digital tele converter at say 50mm setting in 4k video? Would you consider using this camera for hybrid shooting a wedding highlights music film. Nothing fancu. Just thinking its already graded and easy to deliver something to client as a photographer. Maybe even filming it in portrait orientation just to mix into photography reels... or deliver some kind of content creator type option to clients.
I don’t think you can use then digital teleconverer in video sadly. The Leica Q3 allows it, and in my experience the quality really degraded as you zoom in. Or maybe I’m just bad at focusing haha. Already graded footage would be awesome for Reels. For full hybrid, the switching between photo and video is a bit clunky. I’ll be interested to see if they streamline it in a future firmware update because of how capable it is as a video camera
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto thanks! I was hoping the video was over sampled or something so zooming wouldn’t make much effect (i don’t really do any video) I might just use this as a third body for graded video in a small package. And also a 28mm photo baby q3 to supplement my Sony 50mm and 35mm cameras on a wedding day. Have to work out the quickest way to set it to switch between photo and video using the menus etc.
It was all just at 24p. I felt 4k60p would have ruined my battery by lunch so I didn’t do it. (I only had the one battery) Or if you’re talking about shutter speed 1/50 is led refresh rate in Japan so it gets rid of flicker shooting at it
Did you e experience warm or over heat problem with the video? I used to have x100v, 1080p can only shot for 10 minutes and the heat warning pop up. 4k 30p only less then 5 minutes
Sadly, all locations have been sold out of their pre-orders within minutes of their page uploading it. It maybe a month before anyone can get their hands on one.
Good to see the warts…. works great on slower movement and when things are changing slowly in the view….. weak with faster movement looks jerky and out of focus.
"Fujifilm is over rated" Yeah? Feel free to attempt getting anything SOOC on any other system and match what the Fuji is capable of. Sure, the Ricoh can somewhat match the stills, but being able to video in the same style with no catch is truly fantastic. I dont even bother with LUTS.

Hey, would you recommend this as a B cam for wedding filming?
It could work for sure. My only hesitation is that I don’t love having a single card for wedding day cameras, but as a B camera I’d be more accepting of that

Everyone keeps talking about the photo capabilities, and finally someone actually showing how beast this camera is for video as well. Thank you!
Finally, some actual proper video footage. I’ve watched at least 10 videos on the x100vi so far and nobody showed more than 2 seconds of video footage and just said “not the greatest at video”??!!?? Why?! The footage in this video looks stunning.
There are some people who attain "authority" status merely by pulling down things that are essentially just fine.
Doesn't look very smooth when walking whilst filming nevermind anything faster than a walk so you might still want a gimbal for video.
The video definitely looks great to me. Some truly beautiful colors. Love to see the tradition remains alive.

i dont why but i keep on repeating watching this video 5x🥹 something attracts me to watch this scenery..
So hyped for this. To have a camera this capable with me everyday is going to be great.
I absolutely love classic negative film sim. I just upgraded from my little xe-3 to xt-5 and i have been loving the new one!
This looks so good omg
It makes color correction very easy haha

you're easily one of my favourite RUclipsrs. great video.
It’s because of the capybara
I was talking to the capybara…

I like the clip with everyone crossing the street, with one person walking backwards, that threw me off for a second lol. Nice job

Was about to buy the V until I saw the VI drop. Definitely preordering; this video looks awesome.
Very different and beautiful kind of style of video this time.... Great music chosen! Congrats..!
Love your video: knowledgeable, on point with perfect sense of humor 😂
Fujifilm colors + Sony autofocus = perfection!
Dude, your humor in these videos always has me cracking up.
That’s a great video! Can’t wait for mine to be delivered.
Great work! Would love to see a comparison between this and the ZF as a daily carry.
I’ll do this once I get my proper production unit
Your audio quality is stunning, may I ask what mic you are using?
Absolutely beautiful video!! SOOC is crazy. I pre ordered mine and was wondering if the video portions were shot in AWB?
Anything outside I set it to shade (or most of the clips at least) anything inside was awb
I love Straight Out Of Camera
great video also very lovely capybara indeed
I like how you included parts of the clip when you put your camera down. I have so many clips like that 😂
Lovely video Mr. Jackson ❤️💯👌👏Keep it up and keep inspiring us 😊👍 Thank u 🙏
What is your video settings? And timeline setting for edit?
cant wait to pick up mine in the morning
Hello, how are you? Very good video. Ask how you recorded these shots. Do you use any luts? I really like the look. Thank you for more information. Greetings.
These are all straight out of camera using a film simulation
Would love to see a X100VI and RX1R 2 comparison.
Absolutely looks amazing. However so did the 5. Please can you show some night video?
A bunch of the indoor shots were at 6400 iso and you can’t really tell. 5 also didn’t have ibis so there’s no way you could handhold like this
Finally some video content
I’m really interested in the touch to track function in video. Not so much for this camera but the future X-S20 update. Something Fuji has been slacking on in autofocus
Did you colorgrade this? Stunning!
It’s all just straight out of camera from their film sims
Thank you sir for answering! Got yourself a new subscriber! 🎉🎉
So this is straight Classic Negative? No changes to sharpness or colour or white balance etc? Im a classic chrome user but now i might might a quick switch...
So peaceful.
xs20 or x100vi? what to choose for videography?
Do you still have to change modes to get into video? I love that they added sensor stabilization since I sometimes use my V for videos, but it would be nice to be able to take videos more quickly with less steps.
Hmm I should have experimented to see if there was a way to set up a custom button to swap quickly. But yah, I changed modes to video.

the video looks very good but too sharp to me? do you have control over sharpening in camera?
Yep. You can fully customize the look
Keen to use mine! Can I ask what recipe you're using?
Just classic neg with no mods
did you made any colour correction in editing ?
None
Are these all with just IBIS or DIS?
So in your X-S20 video you said you you preferred that with the 27mm over the X100v. Does that still hold true over the X100VI? Which one would you grab?
I like them both. If I didn’t have an another interchangeable lens camera I’d probably
go X-S20 just for the flexibility.
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto Which is more pocketable the Xs20 with the 27 lens or the X100VI?
now you're tempting me to buy one. 🤣
All handheld video footage?
Yep
How come John is not shooting with the X100VI? as you guys are walking around..haha
It was a Canadian unit, so the language is really hard to understand. Aperture is Poutine, and Shutter Speeds are Beavers Per Second
Just had the dispatch notice for mine, which is arriving tomorrow

Yah. We’re looking for snacks
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto sounds like a documentary of my life.

The frame skipping was bad. Did you shoot 25 fps? Or is this a 24fps to 30fps problem?
It’s preproduction firmware so that might have something to do with it
Is there a crop mode in Video? (Like how the photos can be cropped to 50mm and 70mm )
There is not from what I can tell
Newbie question, why not shoot at 60p instead of 50p? Is 50p easier to achieve cinamatic look?
It was all just at 24p. I felt 4k60p would have ruined my battery by lunch so I didn’t do it. (I only had the one battery)

Okay deal

I didn’t experience but I was also only shooting shorter clips in lower temperatures. It didn’t feel warm at all to me though
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto thanks for your respon, it seems that no complain about warm issue in the internet until now, thankss
Does the diginal tele converter work in video?
It doesn’t seem to (yet?)
I choose X100vi not Leica q3

Harp goes hard in this one
Why no Reala Ace?!🥲
Classic neg looked better with the city and light
