Sounds like their version of the disease has a somewhat later onset, which is something to be grateful for I think. Also the dad seems really grounded and empathic. I don’t know my dad or fathers side of my family at all - I have found myself going down this RUclips rabbit hole of learning about HD and worry I may very well carry the gene.

Why isn’t the mom involved in conversation
She might not be around, maybe death or divorce prior to the diagnosis or since. Or she might not have wanted to take part in the video.
Repetitive questions are annoying.
