Thank you! It also works okay going from botten left corner to upper right top of the screen .(with charactar pointing that direction) I had problem going right to left. Solved it by flipping the "Right-to-Left-charactar" horizontal in photoshop. Then add the walking-key-frames in After Effects and finally turn ON all layer to 3D and change the Y axel 180 degrees. Hopefully someone dont need to struggle as I did!
i think you showed us the best and the clearest way how to character walk cycle animation. and i know why you didn't use shortcuts. i appreciate your work man. thank you very much. you are the best teacher i have ever seen.)
hey..my character's leg is moving but not together with the lower part and shoe can someone help? as my anchor point size is same for all like which highlights the part
they are not connected (the layers), I had it too but you can connect every layer in the "patern and link" tab. it's right next to the layer name. and just connect them as he did, so connect Shoe and leg L together or head to neck and neck to body. then they will respond to the keyframes.
hmmm... no offense but you deliberately left the most essential step out for a reason only known to you... (maybe to get people to pay...?) Fortunately, I figured it out...
Can you tell me what it is. I'm making project for college. I have no interest in after effects, so it is hard to understand what will I miss. So please help me out.
the tutorial could have been nice if at all there were some narrations instead of a quiet video It has been less helpful but thank you I suggest you put some narrations
man i just figured it out, you have to create new layers and drag the object(or group) into the new layer. AE will separate the total of main layers of the AI file, flattening the groups and objects within each one of them. So if you have everything into 1 main layer you already know what and why happens
Have you linked every layer to each other with parent-wip? toe to knee, knee to hip, hip to body. You also need to place the anchorpoint at the joints.
Man, your music makes me enjoy your video thousand times more. Great selection. Thanks !
"N" was the shortcut to quickly crop timeline to work area, and "U" was the shortcut to show working keyframes in selected area around 4:50

Yup. That's why I can't do that on the first day. Now I got it from another tutorial .

Great, may use this idea for a class, may add a foot roll, to show the weight but this is brilliant, as I wouldn't have to teach IK ;-)
