- This short video explains how to create "Rigidbody Hinge Constraint" in Blender. Hinge constraint hooks one rigid body to the other rigid body with the help of an Empty. Hinge Constraint restricts Three Translations and Two Rotations of a rigid body with respect to the other, it allows only One Rotation about Hinge Axis. In Blender, Empty's Z-Axis used as Hinge axis for rotation. Follow the video till the end it shows how empty driving the Hinge point of the Rigid body.

RUclips recomendation is unpredictable. Nice tutorial dude
Glad you liked it
aww man, thank you so much, i was struggling with that the whole day
You are welcome and thank you for appreciating our work. Keep Learning 👍
Thanks for the tutorial! Could you attach a hinge to the swinging active object? I can't seem to get it to work...
Thank you very much for Appreciating our work. Ya we can do that by Parenting the second Hinge Axis to the Swinging Body. We made a video for you, please check this out: ruclips.net/video/PsJmaH-HIJc/видео.html
nice thanks
Could you make a video with earrings doing the same motion with rigid body constraint? I can't find a video on this anywhere, and it would be greatly appreciated
Sure we will work on it. What kind of earrings you are expecting by the way??
@@EngMorph I don't see my comment guess RUclips, deleted it, but i would like Hoop earrings because those are the ones i am trying to do at the moment. Just so you know i have exported some hoop earrings from a program called Daz3d into Blender so i did not make them from scratch
@@EngMorph Do you have a Instagram, Twitter, Facebook something that i can contact you at i need this scene done and i am willing to pay for it. Please respond
We are extremely sorry to say this, at present we are not taking up any projects. We are concentrating mostly on education/Teaching part of the tool. We have the following accounts you can follow for all the updates.

This doesn't work for me. My object just drops in space no matter what. Blender is such a pain in the ass for things like this. They need to make it more intuitive
I finally figured out - you HAVE to make the second object a rigid body, and it HAS to be marked as PASSIVE
You are correct, since we are working in rigid body space both objects must be rigid bodies. The video also explains the same @0:55s. In my opinion Blender is a Powerful software and equally capable when compared with commercially available ones. Keep exploring :)
@@EngMorphI did make the second body passive from the start but it is still not working please help😢
Please check the Empty to which Rigid body constraint is applied. Check your Empty's Z-axis orientation, hinge constraint work only about Z- axis. Orient empty's Z-axis to the axis about which you want to rotate your second body (i.e., Active rigid body).
Can we not have music? It doesn't help and frankly silence is preferred for viewing in a work environment. Serious suggestion.
Thank you for your feedback and Will consider your suggestion.
@@EngMorph Appreciate this. Something without a strong base kick would even help. I am often in studio with a client and the music can cause disruptions.
@@huntercressall9610 Use mute....?
@@huntercressall9610 breaking discovery!!!! you can mute the video and put your own music in the backround
