For those having a problem with the simulation stopping at frame 250, do this: Go to the Scene Tab (where you set the Gravity), turn down the arrow for Rigid Body World, the turn down the arrow for Cache. There you can set the start and stop frames for the simulation. You'll need to set your animation back to the beginning (Shift-Left Arrow) and hit play to re-cache the simulation. Hope this helps.
@Ducky did you know you can just hit Shift+T to adjust where the light hits a target? Instead of hitting 2x the R key. Works with all directional lights. Also, when you hold Ctrl after that, it "snaps" to the normal of the surface you have your mouse on. :)
That's a great tip, I didn't know, thanks. I tend to use a Track To modifier and hook it up to an Empty so that way I can freely move lights around and they'll always point where I want.
For those having a problem with the simulation stopping at frame 250, do this (Blender3.6.7): 1)Go to the Scene Tab (where you set the Gravity), 2) turn down the arrow for Rigid Body World OFF, then dont touch Cache or anything, YOU MIGHT delete all rigit body. 3) There you can change the amount of frames needed for the simulation (350). 4)turn down the arrow for Rigid Body World back (ON). 5) You'll need to set your animation back to the beginning (Shift-Left Arrow) and hit bake to re-cache the simulation. 6)Hit play and check if it works properetly. Hope this helps.
If Frame in Cache start and End IS NOT clickble - you might need to press "Remove Rigit Body World" and after that change frames and RE- asign all objects in scene in Physycs Tab again( 1:59 )
at 6:13, the ambient occlusion node doesn't affect the material, as in it doesn't react. I also downloaded it from your Gumroad but it doesn't show. I don't know whether it's my laptop or am I missing something? This is so funny I solved my own problem 😅. For anyone with the same problem, you just have to tick the ambient occlusion box in the render properties tab. (I use Eevee to render). This solution works for Eevee I don't know about cycles
Hello to you. And as always, many thanks for the inspiration and so to speak creative pendal.))) With letters, too, it turns out very interesting. I have already figured out where it can be implemented.
i cant use cycles for this i have to use eevee. as soon as ambient occlusion is on blender crashes when i see it in cycles. even though i have a rtx 4070ti idk what to do. but the tutorial is really nice and brings me on some intresting ideas.
Looking good👌 can you maybe do a video on a way to make an orbit with rigid body’s? I’m aware of the vortex force field but that one drags ‘m in as well. And someone recommended me to use geonodes for that, but I want them to be able to interact with other forces and objects. Either way love your content ✌️
@Ducky 3D thank you ,it's what I did when following along . amazing effect and great tutorial. I'm doing a test render now to see how it turned out . Seriously inspired to try to make some sort of solar system or nebula like this .
Okay I figured it out, we didn't shoot it towards the end of the timeline. So after you hit the animate property button, change it to the last keyframe, by hitting the fastforward to the end button (the one furthest from the play button on the right hand side) and THEN type in 360*5 and hit the animate property button one last time.
@@PeterRychlik same here. I've always had an on/off relationship with animation but I'm trying to take it more seriously. We'll see how this time around goes lol.

Hi! Is there a bug in Blender 3.5.1? When I try to bevel an object, it bevels correctly but when I go in EDIT MODE, there's this weird wire frame of the original object and I can't select the faces that were beveled. Now, I'm not sure if I hit something in the settings but please do help. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
You've probably used the bevel modifier right? If you wanna edit your bevels go to edit mode select the object, edge or vertex you wanna bevel and press ctrl + b on your keyboard. That opens up the bevel tool and those bevels are directly applied on to your mesh. But you can always apply any modifier as well by pressing ctrl + a while hovering over the modifier
it is a cool Video, but. you swap at 12:51 from 350 to 250 Frames and say nothing. Because over Frame 250 the animation doesn´t work. No big deal and no huge Problem. If anyone has a solution for this, comment. Maybe set the frame first and then create the froce field.
Bruh. I kept it as a PNG and choose my file location and it rendered every frame as a single image and as a video. So now I got 350 PNGs. thx I guess...
Yes, it supposed to do like that with a PNG. A lot of people will do that because it’s a very stable way to render, and you can use an editor to compile it as a “PNG sequence“
