      I'm thinking on getting one, blue on black, but I tried it out and it seemed like it didn't have enough power for highway passing. Since I have a V8 Yukon and F150, do you think I should get a turbo Forester?

    • @feedyourfaith7392
      @feedyourfaith7392 7 лет назад

      No No I have a F150 also I love my Rogue and it's good on the highway I got a speeding ticket and I'm piss the car get up and go I have no complaints not yet

    I liked this review a whole lot. I have a 2015 Rogue SL (FWD) No complaints. It has over 7,000 miles rides as smooth as the first day I bought it. If something ever happens to it know for sure be buying me a newer Rogue. I love my 2015 version has all of the bells and whistles but really loving the 2017 Rogue.

    I liked your video and review on the Rogue! As an owner of a 2017 Rogue SL w/the Platinum Package, I agree with ALL of your 5 things loved about it. I, especially, appreciate you mentioning its handling. So many biased reviews out there say that it doesn't handle well. Meanwhile, I'm perplexed by those reviewers because, as a car enthusiast, I can attest to how good the handling on the Rogue is. I've driven CRV, I've driven CX-5, I've driven Foresters and I DON'T see how their handling is any better than the Rogue's. For me, the Rogue has an ideal balance of ride and handling. And, in this class, I believe ride quality is much more important than handling, anyway. And, as you mentioned, no other small crossover SUV in this class rides better than the Rogue. Anyway, good job on the review! Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to seeing your next 5 things you hate about the Rogue video. Don't be TOO harsh, now. ;)

      @ShiftingLanes  7 лет назад +4

      Thanks Naldy! The handling of the entire class is virtually indistinguishable, but the Rogue has a nice weight to it. I'd put the Tucson and the Forester on par or above it, but that's based on personal preference in the settings. For what it is, the Rogue handles great and won't get you in to any trouble. 5 things I hate will be out in a few weeks! Be sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell to stay up to date with all our videos.
      Cheers!

      I totally agree on what you said about it having a good weight to it! I love the heft and "tank" feeling it has. BTW, already subscribed even before you asked! ;)

      I agree. I own two 2017 Rogues in my house. And my only complaint is fuel tank is small. I rather have 70L fuel tank. Other than that it's a perfect recipe for a great Suv.

    It is great on gas on the hwy but a really big difference in gas with city miles. Love the interior quality. Enjoy the space and the trunk. Good looking exterior. Feels light to me and not solid like an older Murano that I once owned.Overall I really enjoy the Rouge

    I bought the 17 rogue and for the most part, it's been excellent. At 3k miles the front brake hardware failed and needed replaced. The brakes would "click" when applying the brakes in reverse. Also in real cold temps, the CVT stays in a lower gear for a mile or two before it warms up. Seems like the RPM'S stay high for just a bit. Otherwise love it. Good thing for the backup camera because there is very little vision in reverse.

    I use a rogue (xtrail here in KSA) and i agree with the body roll. And some instabilities at speeds above 100mph. Rest its all what you mentioned. The best crossover in its segment.

    I have a SL Premium and the only thing I gripe about it is where the stuck the ECO and Sport buttons. They should've left them near the shifter console area like how they did with the previous Rogue Selects. Just makes sense to put the buttons that alter the CVT responses near the shifter.

    The tech package is great. I wish i could have gotten it with a non-sunroof version with the Bose audio package. Sunroofs are a nightmare and youll hardly ever use it. To replace the glass on top is 1100 for the movable one and 1700 for the panoramic one.

      I second that... My Nissan has a sunroof and I regret it so much... It has leak and the mechanics can’t tell me where it’s coming in from.

    Hey thanks for the video. I just test drove a 2018 Nissan Rogue for my daughter. But it’s a Trim G. That’s where I’m having trouble. What, in the world, is a Trim G? Is it an S, SV or SL? Very confusing.

    • @cliby25
      @cliby25 4 года назад

      trim g is the interior color. black. the S, SV,SL all can have that same trim g.
      S,SV,SL are all the packages that gives u more options as u climb

    is it good off-road and rock climbing?

    • @grantkollman4034
      @grantkollman4034 7 лет назад +1

      J Rods The rogue has good ability compared to others in this segment but overall, ground clearance is low and most aids to off-road performance in the rogue are electrical and computer based rather than mechanical adjustments that actually change the cars suspension or grip on things like rocks. I love the rogue, but for a more serious offroader I recommend the Jeep Cherokee or Subaru Forester.

    • @jtec99
      @jtec99 7 лет назад

      Grant Kollman Than you Grant. I actually just purchased a rogue on lease, I honestly love it so far. If I wasn't vain about appearance I would get a Forester in a heartbeat.

    • @alan30189
      @alan30189 7 лет назад +1

      If you want to do that, J Rods, get a Jeep, not a frikin Nissan. These are crossovers, meant for the road.

    It is safer to have the gas filler von the passenger side because of the possibility of a side swipe.

  • @alan30189
    @alan30189 7 лет назад +3

    Can't get the Rogue. They put the gas tank fill cap on the wrong side of the frikin car. That's stupid. This is a big pet peeve for me. It belongs on the DRIVERS SIDE of the car. When are vehicle manufacturers going to get smart about this and put the gas fill on the drivers side of ALL of their vehicles? My passenger does not pump the gas. I do. You are less safe getting out of the car, and then walking around to the pump, in more ways than one. Think about it.
    I'll go with the Murano.

    • @crazymann3188
      @crazymann3188 7 лет назад +3

      alan30189 I actually prefer it on the passenger. the gas lines are shorter cuz not many cars have it on that side.

    • @alan30189
      @alan30189 7 лет назад

      Manuel Meza - It also causes a mess at the pumps when someone is coming in in the wrong direction.

    • @JamesBrown059
      @JamesBrown059 7 лет назад +3

      You struggle to remember which side your gas cap is on?

    • @kennycybertron1
      @kennycybertron1 7 лет назад +2

      The deep cargo area and spare tire made nissan rotate the fuel tank towards the passerger side...that's what a nissan service tech told me when i test drove mine. As far as "forgetting" what side your gas nozzle is on....if you look at your fuel gauge you will see an arrow symbol pointing to which side the fuel door is on. Most all vehicles use this symbol there.

    • @alan30189
      @alan30189 7 лет назад

      That's absurd. There is no difference between the symmetry of the car that would make them do that. The deep cargo area and spare tire would affect the passenger side as well. Or things could be shifted to accommodate putting the gas fill on the correct sided of the vehicle, the driver's side. And if I remembered to look at the fuel gauge, I wouldn't have forgotten in the first place. It's habit to pull in on the driver's side.
