This video have simplify a long sink install process and also made it intuitive to understand. Thanks for the info.
That was a nice job on the dreaded pedestal sink
You don’t use puddy on the trim part of the pop up?
It has a rubber gasket. So that would be a no on the puddy, buddy.
I want to redo the shut off valves. The person that installed them did a sloppy job. How can I get that clean chrome look without the exposed copper. Are those just sleeves that go around it and need to cut to a certain length?
🤣 always have backing if you're there in time
Tired of seeing Chanel locks on finish surface.
That’s my sink! I love this style.
Here's some solid advice for you. Move the pedestal out of the bathroom while screwing and making holes and prepping for your sink basin. All it takes is a easy bump, and you will knock over the pedestal, and break it.
Put the faucet on first. Brilliant!
What kind of bolts are those that hold up the sink and where can I buy them
Great job😊
You shouldn’t be able to slide the base right under it like that lol the top should’ve been mounted resting on the base. That’s why they give you little cork pieces to stop the porcelain from rubbing. You just gave them a wall mounted sink with a piece of porcelain in front of it.
IThe caps were loose to allow the pedestal to slide under like that. 👍
Those rubber gaskets that go on top are horrible no offense
Like u said blocking if not those stupid tag a bolts or or bolt screws and caulk it once the p trap is installed it comes together. Not everyone has blocking especially in older plaster lath homes
It will eventually leat throw the upper rubber away and put silicone, and put some pipe dope on the bottom one.
Is pipe dope better than plumbers tape in this application? Sorry new to the realm of plumbing.
Looks good 👍
How many inches does the screws have to be above the stool ?
Which sink and faucet are those
Pipe dope on bottom putty on top of pop up good stuff looks great
Nice job
My guy. You gotta start rocking the gloves. Its so nice to have clean hands when you need em. Especially when it comes to finish products.
did this last week. went well not too sure why everyone hates these. besides the old ones were ugly as hell. and only kohler seems to be creating good designs. far better than a ugly cheap wall mount
What is the pop up drain part number
like the videos. greatly appreciated. Will this be on the test next week. lol just joking. keep the videos coming.
Love the sink and faucet but I don't understand having one that doesn't completely hide plumbing
You tube algorithms knowing I’m putting a pedestal sink in next weekend…
Works great if it’s roughed in right
Good work
Do you need to have backing regardless what type of sink you're installing?
I mean unless it's a vanity
So the base holds no weight. I do mine different
Good jobs
Had pop up wastes in uk for about 20 years 😂
Sharkbites 🤮
So you going to trust those drywall fasteners over solid blocking to hold the sink in place good luck with that buddy
My ocd kicked in when the video started playing fast. , like dude take it easy, its porcelin.
Not a legal trap connection in my state
Just curious are you a general contractor or a licensed plumber or both? Asking because in my great state of Washington I'm a general contractor I do mainly bathroom kitchen remodeling.. were no longer allowed to do any sort of plumbing like I can't even remove a toilet.. I'm just wondering . But a little thing for all the remodelers out there make sure your state allows you to do plumber . I'm being sued for 60 grand by a homeowner . I did 2 bathrooms for 5 days into the start of the bathroom s I get an phone call from the home owners saying there's water spraying every where my reply was .. well your doing the plumbing ma'am. So you need to call the guy that did it. Well some how I'm the one being sued when I didn't do anything wrong.. be careful people are sue happy and will make things up to go after yiur insurance and bond
If that was one of my bathrooms you wouldn't of seen the water pipes or the drain, why have them on show if you don't have to .
✔️
😮
So no silicone under pop up? 😳
Always use plumbers putty. Thank me later!
@@slippinslidewayz I been to several calls to fix "Plumbers" mistake for using the wrong plumbers putty on porcelain or marble sink. I'm old school been using clear silicone forever. No issue ever and super happy customers all the time.
es muy difícil no cuanto tiempo te metiste poniendolo 2 3 1 días 👎
Wrong
Metal traps suck
Pedestal sinks are worthless
Hand tighten??? I have put a lot of those drains together, most of the sinks are so rough you need to get some good pressure or the base will leak.
Exactly! Put that damn drain on 3x and still leaks. Any suggestions ?
@@emzye4641 Some of it will depend on the layout of the sink/drain. I had better luck by connecting the sink side of the drain and sliding the whole thing into place and connecting what is extended from the wall. It requires fitting everything then putting it together after.
No putty untrained
