YESSSSSS.... agreed.. great choices!!! I loved this album - Shake Your Money Maker .. and had it on repeat when it came out!!! I think it was like in 1990?
There are only two covers of Otis Redding songs that I have ever felt where up there with the originals and their version of Hard to Handle is one of them.
Just FYI...the lead singer (in the red pants) is Chris Robinson, and he was married to the actress Kate Hudson in the early 2000's. His voice is so unique and perfect for this style of music. Brings some "funk" to the band. Good reaction! Need to do more of the Black Crowes...their catalog is quite impressive with lots of hits.
I just wanted to add that the other guy, in the Red Suit is Chris' brother Rich. I discovered them in local ATL venues in the 80's and have followed them since.
if you getting into "the Black Crowes" n ow you absolutely have to check out the song by them "She Talks To Angels". absolutely incredible song and likely one of his most well known songs. great one with a message too.
This song is one of my favorite songs of all time just because of the flow and vibe. I’m a fairly old dude who loves my music so that’s an accomplishment.
You know that homeboy homeboy Earth? Eric ARRC church Eric church at at brother. How you Scott a song called homeboy homeboy. How use a video of yeah the videos good
Chis brings that energy to every show. So many great songs in their catalog. Thorn In My Pride, She Talks To Angels and Soul Singing a couple of my favorites. Strap in and enjoy the ride!!
The band just got back together last year and are opening for Aerosmith on their farewell tour. They broke up for a while because the two brothers, singer and guitar player, weren't getting along.
for pants, watch the video for this song from the 1993 MTV VMAs. Biege, bell bottomed, pot leaves stitched up each pant leg on the side. Plus, a KILLER version of this song. During the 80's, bell bottoms were the EPITOME of uncool. This man brought them back. No joke.
Great reaction Hun. As a 56 year old man... when these dudes hit the music scene back in the early 90s it was immediate "stay list" for me... I'm going to see them in September.... check out "Thorne In My Pride"... thank me later...
Britt, I was waiting...waiting and I didn't have to wait long. I think it was a few seconds? I knew as soon as the video started that you were going to have to mention the band wardrobe. Really cool and 70s-like. Oh, and the song was great too. 😉
Rich Robsinson is on rhythm guitar (His brother Chris is singing) Marc Ford on lead guitar (solos) and Johnny Colt on Bass guitar. with Steve Gorman on drums, with Mona and Lisa backing them up.
There’s a LOT of different chemicals feeding that energy!! Played little league with the brothers back in the day. Very talented ball players. Then a series of events happened, starting with puberty. Then girls, music and drugs. Ball didn’t matter anymore!! Been covering their music onstage in bars since they hit in the 80’s, Hard to Handle was our second set kickoff for decades, never fails to get the crowd moving.
Being more of a 60s and 70s music person, I discovered the 90s band the Black Crowes in the last 5 years or so. The first thing I thought was "they sound like The Rolling Stones." I also get the 70s vibe and that's why they are my favorite 90s band.
The Black Crowes whole goal was carrying the banner of old school 70s rock into the 90s and they did it wonderfully. I recommend checking out their live MTV performance of No Speak No Slave, check then out at maximum swagger.
Saw them supporting the Rolling Stones in London in front of 60,000 fans and they stole the show...it was pouring with rain .....but they just nailed it🎸👏👏
Stole the show in London from The Rolling Stones. Come on now get real. Openers for the Stones do well by not getting booed off the stage which happened to Prince! Fans chucked beer bottles at him and he ran off crying
@flyingburritobro68 That also perfectly demonstrates the ignorance of the majority of Stons fans.....they're stuck in a time warp unable to see that most pub bands are more talented than the wrinkly rockers 👴🎸👴
the crowes took old school rythum and blues and put it into 90's rock and roll..with a southern flavor in some of that ..this song for sure..."hard to handle" was their biggest hit i believe and it was a cover of otis redding classic
Ya know I’m watching all the work you are putting in over time. Letting you know I see you and I am thankful for you! Also, I keep hearing hints at your own singing ability. Any chance you would consider singing any song for us? Just putting that out there cause I think I’d dig it! Much love and respect!
They do a great version of Hard to Handle by Sam Cook. You might need to do both. These guys are kind of 90’s throwback to the 1970’s recalling RodStewart/Faces and the Rolling Stones.
I saw them last in 08 before they broke up. Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines Iowa. Absolutely phenomenal concert! They shied away from their hits and played all obscure songs. I've scrolled through your reactions and saw no Phil Collins or Genesis. Would love to see you react to either.
I saw those first two big Black Crowes tours -- 90 for Shake Your Moneymaker and 92 for Southern Harmony, the album this track was the first single for. I'll tell you this about The Black Crowes LIVE... Never before and never since have I seen more ENERGY emenating off of a human being than Chris Robinson during a Black Crowes show! It's this... what you see here... for a couple of hours, straight. And it is SPECTACULAR! 31st anniversary of the release of this album was yesterday.
One of my favorite songs by far. I laugh because when the women come in, if you think they say…”Can I have some Lemonade?” Trust me that’s what you’ll hear 😂
I love this because it’s hard to handle except they wrote it. This and Sometime Salvation are my favorites from them. Chris Robinson was on top of the world for a couple years.
A great band all around. Met them when they were touring for their 2nd album. I like their earlier albums when they were more of a boogie band , they slowly turned into more of a jam band. Check out "Thorn In My Pride"
Most rock is sexual innuendo. Or habit issues , but issues, the Blues Baby. Good stuff and yes the 90's kind of a throwback like Greta Van Fleet today. Another good unique rock band.
Media at the time often called The Black Crowes a throwback band, more reminiscent to 70's garage bands and southern rock bands, from their clothing style, to their musical style, they came out of Atlanta, so it's not surprising they looked different and sounded different than the Seattle Grunge scene...but, it was the popularity of grunge that helped put the Crowes on the map in the early-mid 90's (they'd been a group since the mid-80's afterall). They opened for ZZ Top, Metallica, AC/DC, Mötley Crüe, which introduced them to a wide-array of music fans. They tallied 17 top 10 Rock songs, though only a handful of their early songs cracked the Billboard Hot 100.
As some others have mentioned, Sometimes Salvation is an absolutely epic mixture of blues, rock and soul that is performed and recorded perfectly for the song. It's a Soul Sledge Hammer. So many people bring up She Talks To Angels, which is a good song, But, IMO, it pales in comparison.
Chris Robinson has a similar presence to Mick Jaggar. I've seen both bands live. 40 years apart! Stones in 1978 (my very first concert, Anaheim stadium, festival seating, 100,000 people) and Black Crowes very early 2000's. Can't compare bands, Stones are legendary, Crowes are a very good live band.
First off... My god You are very very lovely 🌹💕 pointing out the obvious.. and I thoroughly enjoy all your reactions, have a beautiful and blessed day🌹
ABSOLUTELY. Cornell is a forever Staylist, Stapleton is other worldly, and Robinson is a fantastic vocalist and stage presence. Got so see the Black Crowes in a small hall, a couple hundred people, lots of funny smoke, when I think he was still with Kate and it was the tour that had Soul Singing.
Child.. the 70s boys with Bob from accounting on drums 🥁.. an amazing song and video. It deserves snaps with a who that twist ( if you get the last reference... ) points!!
FYI... AEROSMITH just announced their farewell tour... With the Black Crows opening... Grab some tickets and create some content... We'll watch! You're welcome🤘😜
If anyone remembers. I think it was C&C Music Factory and others used singers with big voices and used actors in the videos for visuals and The Black Crows did their thing. No press release just let it fly. That is why they kick ass. You fit the idea, get in and be a part of it.
Black Crowes are combination of several different music genres...Southern Rock, Blues/Funk, straight out Rock...they broke out in the 90's with their cover of Otis Redding's "Hard To Handle." Remedy is from their 2nd album, which was more Southern Rock with that Blues/Funk, lots of backup singers, etc. She Talks To Angels, Jealous Again, Twice As Hard, Thorn In My Pride, Sting Me, Seeing Things...all really good songs from those first two albums. There are some hits on some of their later albums, but the singer and guitar player (with red guitar) are brothers who were constantly fighting. Didn't produce as many hits after those first 2 albums, broke up for awhile, and have reformed in the last few years. Just saw them last year in concert and they were awesome!
so many good songs by them, she talks to angels, hard to handle, jealous again, twice as hard. all bangers you should check out
YESSSSSS.... agreed.. great choices!!! I loved this album - Shake Your Money Maker .. and had it on repeat when it came out!!! I think it was like in 1990?
I think you listed all my favs!❤
There are only two covers of Otis Redding songs that I have ever felt where up there with the originals and their version of Hard to Handle is one of them.

I love this group!!! One of my favs is Jealous Again.

This song is one of my favorite songs of all time just because of the flow and vibe. I’m a fairly old dude who loves my music so that’s an accomplishment.
I saw the Black Crowes and Lenny Kravitz in Nashville in 99 or 2000. Still the best concert I've been to.
I saw that tour in Denver!! It was excellent!!
the Crowes are super underrated. Great band.
You know that homeboy homeboy Earth? Eric ARRC church Eric church at at brother. How you Scott a song called homeboy homeboy. How use a video of yeah the videos good
70s vibe, sixties blues soul, 90s band. An amazing band and catalogue! Their killer version of Otis Redding's "Hard to Handle" is what broke them big.
thank you, I really enjoy spending time with nice people sharing good music, good vibes. May every good desire of your heart be fulfilled.
Black Crows
She talks to angels
Twice as hard
Hard to handle
And now you get to tell friends at parties that you witnessed the best band to come out of the '90s. :)
Chis brings that energy to every show. So many great songs in their catalog. Thorn In My Pride, She Talks To Angels and Soul Singing a couple of my favorites. Strap in and enjoy the ride!!
Very correct! 90s band inspired by the 70s. Not just 70s rock, 70s everything. In high school, they spoke to my 90s hippie soul.
Yea, they're from the 90's and touring today. Check out your nearest venues to see where they're playing. Great summer show!
as many others have said "She Talks to Angels" is a must . belated congrats to you on 100k ! well earned
The talent just flows from these guys!! Sometimes Salvation is a soul wrencher what singing with passion really is
Love this band ... always saw them as a new Rolling Stones
This song first aired on MTV in the early 90’s.
I remember the exact time. World Premiere. So I could record it.
So many great hits
The band just got back together last year and are opening for Aerosmith on their farewell tour. They broke up for a while because the two brothers, singer and guitar player, weren't getting along.
LOVE IT when you sing! 😍🔥🤩
They are a great southern rock band. Good tunes, and good vibes.
for pants, watch the video for this song from the 1993 MTV VMAs. Biege, bell bottomed, pot leaves stitched up each pant leg on the side. Plus, a KILLER version of this song. During the 80's, bell bottoms were the EPITOME of uncool. This man brought them back. No joke.
90s fan with that 70s feel. And yes it’s about what you think it is Britt!
Southern rock at its finest homie
One of those songs you listen to 12 times in a row every time.
Black Crows and Jimmy Page is an absolute must.
Great reaction Hun. As a 56 year old man... when these dudes hit the music scene back in the early 90s it was immediate "stay list" for me... I'm going to see them in September.... check out "Thorne In My Pride"... thank me later...

This band is from the 90's and the guitar player in the red and the lead singer are brothers.
Rich Robsinson is on rhythm guitar (His brother Chris is singing) Marc Ford on lead guitar (solos) and Johnny Colt on Bass guitar. with Steve Gorman on drums, with Mona and Lisa backing them up.

It's all about the Remedy Britt;) And yup 90s band. Dude was married to Goldie Hawns daughter for many years.
Love this band, reminds me of my youth , these guys, Quireboys, faster pussycat, vain, Enuff Z’Nuff, skid row, Cinderella, dangerous toys, LA Guns
I love Black Crowes "Hard To Handle" (a remake of an old Ottis Redding Song). Saw them about a year ago and Chris still sounds great.
Being more of a 60s and 70s music person, I discovered the 90s band the Black Crowes in the last 5 years or so. The first thing I thought was "they sound like The Rolling Stones." I also get the 70s vibe and that's why they are my favorite 90s band.
When I first heard them I thought The Faces had reunited.
The Black Crowes whole goal was carrying the banner of old school 70s rock into the 90s and they did it wonderfully. I recommend checking out their live MTV performance of No Speak No Slave, check then out at maximum swagger.
Big hippy band , you need to do Hard to handle from them.
Black Crows are awesome.....90's band.....70's vibe. 👍😁
They are a phenomenal band with a TON of great music! I hope you check out more of their music.
Chris Robinson has so much soul and is a fantastic front man
Great channel, I've seen the Crowes 9 times. And they are 100 times better live! Just thought I would throw that out there.
90’s band that rocked
Saw them supporting the Rolling Stones in London in front of 60,000 fans and they stole the show...it was pouring with rain .....but they just nailed it🎸👏👏
Stole the show in London from The Rolling Stones. Come on now get real. Openers for the Stones do well by not getting booed off the stage which happened to Prince! Fans chucked beer bottles at him and he ran off crying
@flyingburritobro68 hey its true......I was there 1995. WEMBLEY Stadium...the young Crows showed the old dinosaurs (Stones)....how to rock n roll..
@flyingburritobro68 That also perfectly demonstrates the ignorance of the majority of Stons fans.....they're stuck in a time warp unable to see that most pub bands are more talented than the wrinkly rockers 👴🎸👴
Remedy Remedy Remedy is my favorite part too sis.
Love the crowes, and I think I’m falling for you…haha!
She Talks to Angels!
I got to see them open for ( the real Van Halen) with SAMMY Hagar in 1990, they were kinda new to the scene and I was blown away
From 1992, first single from their second album The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion
that is so cool! thanks for letting me know!
Such an incredible band ❤
Saw them live with Jimmy Page doing Zeppelin songs. Was amazing. 'Live at the Greek'...check it out!
the crowes took old school rythum and blues and put it into 90's rock and roll..with a southern flavor in some of that ..this song for sure..."hard to handle" was their biggest hit i believe and it was a cover of otis redding classic
Yes. His apparel and energy are quite intriguing.
Thorn in my Pride is a can't miss song.
"Hard to Handle" and "She Talks To Angels"...it'll change your life!
I grew up listening to the black crowes. They’ve been my dads favorite band for as long I can remember.
Ya know I’m watching all the work you are putting in over time. Letting you know I see you and I am thankful for you! Also, I keep hearing hints at your own singing ability. Any chance you would consider singing any song for us? Just putting that out there cause I think I’d dig it! Much love and respect!
Great song! Great reaction!
Yup, their sound was a blend of Soul and Southern Rock. Seems like the other day I was listening to this for the first time...decades ago.
They do a great version of Hard to Handle by Sam Cook. You might need to do both.
These guys are kind of 90’s throwback to the 1970’s recalling RodStewart/Faces and the Rolling Stones.
Otis Redding, not Sam Cooke. Otis wrote it and performed it first
If you’d like the Robinson brothers to take you to church, Seeing Things is where its at. The absolute bees knees! 🥰 much love!
They always reminded me of Faces and in a good way.
90's band with a classic rock sound
Saw them live at the Royal Albert Hall in London 1995. It was an awesome show!
Love This Band .Your Going To Love Them
GREAT SONG GREAT ALBUM!!! 90s group Southern Rock kinda 70s inspired
Amorica their next album is my favorite album ever❤👏👍
You should check out their first album. So many great songs.
SHE TALKS TO ANGELS/NO SPEAK NO SLAVE/ Hey Blackberry,/STING ME/THORN IN MY PRIDE all great crowes tunes.
This song is full double entendre between sex and drugs.

No, the ladies aren't officially "in the band," and yes, you nailed it with "or do they have a 70s vibe but it came out in the 90s." Yep.
Black Crowes-Sometimes Salvation
Black Crowes-Soul Singing
NO SHIT!!! 💯
At 7:50 Chris Robinson throws down the greatest syncopation in the history of a blues song!!! 💯
THAT shit is Dr. Strange level magick!!!
You make me smile…thx
“Girl From A Pawnshop” is my favorite song from them.
Such an underrated song by them
Mix the Rolling stones, the Faces (Rod Stewart), Humble Pie and Sly and the family stone, you get the black crowes.
This was 1992 and the crowes were called a "roots rock" band, wearing their influences all over their sleeves, pants, and bare feet.
One of my favorite songs by far. I laugh because when the women come in, if you think they say…”Can I have some Lemonade?” Trust me that’s what you’ll hear 😂
“Hard to Handle” and “She Talks to Angels” are must listens!
I love this because it’s hard to handle except they wrote it. This and Sometime Salvation are my favorites from them. Chris Robinson was on top of the world for a couple years.

The singer was married to Goldie Hawns daughter Kate Hudson. He is a cool cat.
Let me tell you something. You can not go wrong with Chris Cornell, Chris Stapleton, and Chris Robinson. Can never hear enough of them
