Remedy, Thorn in My Pride, Jealous Again, Twice as Hard, She Talk to Angels, Seeing Things, Sting Me, Only a Fool…their catalog of genius is vast! Great rabbit hole to go down, Chris Robinson’s vocals are so soulful.
Oh hell ya - this has always been one of my favs. Otis Redding first recorded it, and Janis Joplin also famously covered it as well. It's worth comparing/contrasting the different versions, they each brought something great to the song. If you like this and haven't already reacted to it, check out "She talks to angels" by the Black Crowes as well, another great song of theirs.
"I'm sho hard to handle now Yes I am." I was playing that when it came out. Pop said "Who's that?"Man that's a Old Song." Then I found the Otis Redding version.
'pretty little thing let me light your candle cuz mama I'm sure hard to handle, now, gets around.... ' Had to put it out here because it is written by the greatest song-writer, all- time, but its also covered by a band either, WAY ahead of or behind their time.. depends on how you look at it.
Thank you Van.. just subscribed.. nice.. the original is now political/social subject matter.. I am still a subcriber and check out some of those.. but more times than not I look for entertainment.. so you got this channel.. wow you must be busy providing content for both.. thanks for your hard work it is appreciated.. .52 years and a love of music.. btw I was not aware you had this channel.. perhaps others need to be informed. I saw one of the vids suggested.. noticed it was recent and was like what.. ok.. I got lucky
Yep, Otis Redding’s song. I usually don’t like remakes but this is like Aerosmith’s remake of The Beatles’ “Come together”. We’re always learning. I swear, man, he starts on a 1/4-1/2 note. Hard to keep up sometimes.m 😂. Chris Robinson is a master entertainer, a master singer, awesome harmonica player and a legendary voice. And omgosh, if this is all you’ve heard of them, Chris Robinson u ain’t sh*t! ❤❤❤
If you liked this song, you will love these guys. Check out....She Talks To Angels, Remedy, Twice As Hard, Jealous Again, Thorn in My Pride, Seein Things, Kickin My Heart Around
In my head this song is forever tied to a memory of riding up to deliver a newspaper to the brick house on the corner of 28th and Brown in Spokane in 1991. How specific is that? Memory is weird.
Liked The Black Crowes when they first came out. Felt that they were continuing in the tradition of Steve Marriott n Humble Pie and Rod Stewart n the Faces.
This performance was good but I like the studio version better. Van you need to listen to the original version by Otis Redding. I know that you prefer live performances but sadly I don't remember if Otis played this song at the Monterey Pop Festival.
Aretha Franklin 1972 Amazing Grace at a baptist church. Find it. Share it. Not enough do it. Forget the money and whatever. It’s the best version of any song I’ve ever heard! Hands down. Do one for the supporters
Holy shit this was hard to find. I remembered my history though. Trying to show a friend. RUclips is absolute dogshit in every way possible tho 🤷🏼♂️ I found you again despite RUclips’s bullshit! Let’s go! Crowes
Playlist material. Written and originally recorded by Otis Redding.

The way The Black Crowes did it is fire, but it’s an Otis Reading joint. Love that they showed him love with this!
This band really evolved over the yrs and make some incredible art. ✌️
