- In the early Eighties The Three Degrees recorded two album on their own label. One of the two was: 'The Three Degrees - Live in the UK'. One of the tracks - also included in their shows - was 'The boss'. I extended the song, brushed up the sound and edited the video.
No copyright infringement intended.

I missed Fayette and her time with them is my favorite but I think Helen was a perfect replacement. Beautiful women indeed.
Helen was actually the original member but left, to have a baby as I remember and Fayette took over.
@@Idcanymore510 Fayette was a member of the original line up, Helen was part of the 2nd line up (alongside Fayette) Helen left to have a baby, Sheila took her place, 10 years later Fayette left and Helen came back to replace her.
They were very happy on stage

This trio with Helen Scott is the best. The Supremes were good. As far as cherorgofee, singing talent from all three, looks, natural hair, movement to me they're the Boss. Diana I applaud you, for making the song. It was truly a hit with you. Nobody can take that from you. But the remake by these young ladies were absolutely beautiful. Congrats to Sheila, Helen and that other great voice.

My favorite lineup, I spent 80 damn dollars on the Japan CD/mini LP of their 2 Giorgio Moroder albums about two years before they were released domestically on CD MUCH cheaper and both with bonus cuts. SMH
The best R&B/Pop female group ever. And I love the Supremes. But these ladies are better singers than any of the Supremes line up, except for Sherri Payne who can hold her own with just about anyone. .
I agree Dennis, these ladies are better singers. Unfortunately for them, they just didn't have the writers and musicians that Motown had. Although topnotch singers, some of the songs were not. Too bad they had to go to Europe to get the type of recognition they deserved.

You did an amazing job here, excellent sound and vid. But I have a question. Where did you take the vid from? And, I read on the site 'discogs' that the vinyl album wasn't really live but a studio recording "with faked taped audience sounds".
Muziekgenot I took the album track to make my extended version. They beformed this song on UK TV once. I took that recording, removed the sound and edited the video to match it with my extended mix. Took a couple of days😃

Listen for urself the hits they accomplished hasnt, isnt & will never be topped by The Former Ladies Of The Supremes, The Three Degrees, The Emotions or any other female singing group, hands down!

Some may prefer thr Supremes version, but these ladies were better singers. These ladies are true performers. They didn't just stand around stiff, unlike the Supremes they were full of energy.
The Supremes never recorded this song. It was a ross solo written by Ashford/Simpson
There is no Supremes version, it is only Diana Ross, it is her song, since she is the Boss. :)

Way too fast.....diana had more feeling....and it meant more. The song was written for diana based on how diana was feeling at the time. This version is ok...and visually very good.
