- The Three Degrees well known for their soulful voices, beautiful gowns, and fabulous stage shows. They are known all around the world for songs like "When will I see you again", "Dirty Ol' Man", "Take Good Care Of Yourself", "Year Of Decision", TSOP, "The Runner", "Giving Up Giving In", "Woman In Love", ETC. They have been continuously touring for more than 30 years and still touring to this day.
You can see them in one of their many visits to the Netherlands, this time in a very popular tv show called "Voor de vuist weg" hosted by Willem Duys.

In 1973 I saw the 3 Degrees live....absolute dynamite!!!
I saw them in 1978. Their band was huge - talk about 76 trombones led the big parade - and, between that and vocals like this, they brought the house down.
Sheila Ferguson: very underrated.
Damn!!! They are singing live because you can hear the middle one snap her finger. Back then, Prince was taught to dance the "Bump" by the Three Degrees. It was fun times back in those days.
My aunt Helen gives it her best everytime. She always held her part down.

So many American singers had to go elsewhere to get their due recognition. Gene Pitney went to Canada , Peggy March went to Germany , Timi Yuro playing small clubs in US , in Amsterdam played stadiums, Brenda Lee retained her stardom in Japan with Celine Dion as her opening act ! The Three Degrees were huge in the UK, I was among the minority who loved them in US ! They at one time were Englebert zHumperdincks background singers and seen briefly in the film, “ the French Connection “ !

But i have only after all this time decided to buy more of the three degrees music.

THIS IS THE BEST SONG IN THE WORLD! I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT! I found out about it cuz it's on the new Bananarama album... nicely done remake. This lead singer in the video has pipes like I've never heard before! I am blown away by this song!

Sheila Ferguson is a fantastic singer (check out her solo CD !). I hope you take the opportunity to look into their career. You will be amazed of all the quality these ladies brought for many many years without being crowned as they should be with hundreds of awards.
Most modern female artists would seriously struggle to even reach that high register that sheila delivers here!

awesome song, love all the girls, the classic lineup up of Sheila, Valerie and Fayette was the best....but Helen was good as well, even if her dancing in this vid was a little rough...
Helen did a lot of the choreography when she rejoined the group, for the Ariola recordings.

Love the Three Degrees, just wonder why Sheila sings mostly everything when Valerie had the better voice..
They all had great voices, but Sheila and Valerie did most of the leads. Depending on the song, the lead was sung by the best suited voice for that song. On some songs, the lead was shared. Their voices blended together beautifully, and their songs were well chosen.
