I purchased my 2014 Fiesta ST new as well. It has a nearly identical set of issues as your, with the clicking blend door, car stalling when filling the tank, and radio not working sometimes. I've also recently started getting water in the spare tire well. When the car was still new'ish, I had passenger front skirt cover come off somewhere and a clip holding the rear diffuser panel to the bottom of the car come off causing it to hang. I repaired both issues. I've still not repaired the clicking blend door. Car still runs great.
Well this is great news! I bought my 2016 Fiesta ST used 6 months ago with 18k miles on it. I've been having a blast. I also have that purge valve problem though..
Instant sub. Great review and put me in a good mood. I'm a Brit,so tend to get all the fast fords. It's amazing to me , that such a car loving petrol head nation as the USA keep getting denied these types of cars.
The choking after you fill the tank up is the fuel purge valve that needs replaced and it’s a pretty cheap fix, you’ll never have to worry about not filling the car to full again or worry about it choking.
I drove a normal non ST automatic Ford Fiesta from Boston, MA to some woods way up North in Maine for camping. This car hauled a ton and it had great handling. I normally shy away from American cars except for a Jeep Wrangler, but this Ford was amazing! I can't imagine the feel of an ST version. Your red Ford Fiesta looks freaking amazing by the way! Keep that car in good condition!
I sold my HONDA CiViC Si (I bought it new) to buy a Fiesta ST and NO REGRETS. I have also heard stories of people selling their SUBARUS STi's and Focus RSs to get the Fiesta ST. This car is really that GOOD, it's in a league of its own.
Just got a used 2015 Fiesta ST and I'm so pumped about it. I enjoy hatchbacks so much. I was actually looking for a mid sized truck when I saw the Fiesta instantly wanted it. I didnt know Ford was planning on taking their cars out of production when I got it so it was a bummer finding that out. This videos got me even more pumped about my new vehicle so thanks for that
Drove one in Germany around mid to late 2014. Ordered one custom from Ford in late 2014, through AAFES Overseas, which was delivered in SoCal around March 2015. Got the first speeding ticket, in over 21 years, in June 2015. Other than the same AC clicking, the car still runs like a champ and has provided the nimbleness, power, and speed to get out of some pretty goofy highway driving situations.
I'm just amazed that you had it detailed; my 2008 F-150 has over 100K miles, runs great, and I'm afraid that removing the dirt, tar, or removing the many stains within will disrupt it's chi.
Dude - your Trabi is the soundtrack of my time in Europe. I lived in Berlin shortly after The Wall fell, and was only a few hundred yards from a small East German community that would use our neighborhood as a shortcut into the city. These were everywhere. I once saw one plow into a big Mercedes sedan, maybe an S? everyone got out safe. The Mercedes driver looked at the scratches on his car, and the destroyed Trabi, punched the driver and drove away.
I have a 2012 Ford Fiesta Titanium. It’s done 230,000 km so far. It’s underpowered, shudders at low speeds like a manual, the headlights randomly shut off or doesn’t turn on when you need them to, and I love it.
Small and quick cars are the best! Especially if you have a touch of torque steer to keep you on your toes. Lol I have a Chevy Spark EV and it's an absolute blast to drive thanks to it's 327 lb-ft of torque and 0-60mph in 7.2 seconds. If you're ever in Idaho I'd be more than happy to let you make a video on it. Admittedly not as quirky as the other EVs you've reviewed, but it fits perfectly between those and your Fiesta.
My wife of 24 years is a practical woman, she still drives her 1999 Honda CRV. I’ll tell her that those things are no longer safe and steer her to an ST for the “practicality” and good MPG. Then I’ll take it for some me time when she’s got me running errands for her. Sounds like win/win to me.
I had a 2015 ST I bought new and sold at just over 30k miles with stock brakes and I just replaced the original tires. Nothing but oil changes done to it and a Cobb stage 1 tune. A few years later I got a used 2016 ST with 8k miles, did a Cobb stage 3 tune which I recently sold with only 13k miles. I had to do a purge valve on that one. The only reason I sold is is trading it in for a 2016 Corvette Stingray. The Vette is nice, it gets more looks but the Fiesta was a great car and almost more fun to drive in some ways. Very underrated car and for the price it is one of the best deals you can get.
Agree, I honestly can own both cars but to me the Fiesta ST is a better overall car. Where I live there are way too many Corvettes and Fiesta STs are very rare, so I rather drive the FiST.
Willy Pooh I considered refinancing the Fiesta and just getting the Corvette in addition but I also have a Corolla for a daily I’m making payments on so three car payments and insurance was just too much. I just couldn’t get rid of the Corolla, it’s so reliable and not worth enough on the resale. Only one toy at a time for me. I’ve had 5 cars at one time in the past and it’s just too much to deal with. I do miss the FiST tho.
I bought a 2013 focus ST3, 3 years ago. Still have it with 111846miles on it. Only maintance I done is spark plugs, rear motor mount, breaks, Oil change every 10 thousand Km. Other than that Car is amazing still runing brand new.

Aging Wheels - man, as if I needed ta hear any more glowing reports on the Ford Fiesta ST! The hits just keep coming! I want my own Ford Fiesta ST, and, I used to tell myself I don't want a Shadow Black Ford Fiesta ST. Now I'm starting to like that color, if you're one who wasn't taught in school that black and white aren't really colors. Yep - I was taught that in school - that black and white aren't really colors. I've been told by people I've shown pictures of the car to on the net to "get one in a bright color - it looks best in a bright color." There's a 2015 Ford Fiesta ST in town selling for only $14,000 that is painted straight from the factory in Shadow Black. It's only got 8,000 miles on it, but I'd need ta verify that first. I've noticed while staring at the sporty lines of the Fiesta ST on that car that Shadow Black in person almost has a dark, charcoal metallic flake grey look to it. It's a look I like. That car has a tire decal popped on the body right in front of the rear wheel wells that's bright red and looks good. It's got the brake calipers painted red, too. If that car does indeed only have 8,000 road miles on it then I'm labeling it a screaming deal. It says it has SYNC but I thought Ford only started putting SYNC in with the 2017 Ford Fiesta ST. You need to download it for the 2016 model and it would take a new installment on to the head of some kind to have it on your pre-2016 Fiesta ST. Would have to check it out. I've noticed that these Ford Fiesta ST's seem to hold up pretty well for people. They're generally not a rolling reliability red flag concern. Very gratifying ta hear. I'll be reading up more on this small hatch that Ford has decided to turn into a classic by not offering it for sale any more in the U.S. Change your mind on that, Ford!
This car basically has 100,000 beat on miles. Every fiesta st gets driven hard when driven. I’d like to see a civic get driven like a race car from lot to 100k miles and see what has happened, we know for a fact the clearcoat will be gone by year 3. Couple broken door handles, window motors, interior panels falling off,Ceiling liner peeling, airbags replacement etc. I used to be Jdm and euro only but this single car is designed perfectly gotta give credit where it’s due.
America doesn't want and/or refuses to have interest/invest into the small car market...... but keeps nagging into making *"more efficient this"* or *"more efficient that"* -- while producing massive trucks and SUVs. I mean seriously, how to they expect to be more economical when they keep making vehicles the size of Saturn lol :D The thing is gonna' want more fuel and power - duhhh ^_^ P.S. -- Don't shoot the messenger, Im just passing the information along ;)
Thats how i feel , regular carreviews just uploaded a video on a rare hybrid car from VW.(normaly i like his videos but this one left a bad taste in my mouth :/ ) Basicly a test if people are interestet in hybrids and they got mocked for it ... Something like 100km on 2 liters of fuel..
The government is trying to regulate those vehicles into existence. Americans don't want little eco cars when they can comfortably afford a truck or SUV.
"Americans aren't buying cars anymore" Correction: *Americans aren't buying American cars anymore* Ask Toyota or Honda if they're having trouble clearing their Corolla/Civic inventories...
Just found your channel recently but really enjoy the videos. Have had a Fiesta since 2016, started with a new 1.0L SFE when I had 4 hours of commuting every day, then upgraded to a used 2016 ST in Dec 2019. I will likely keep it forever, it will continue to be my daily until some small EV hatch like a bolt or leaf get cheap enough.
I drive the same mark of Fiesta, although the 1.25l gas non turbo version, and yes it's so fun to drive, even without a turbocompressor. And reliable as well for now. Only things I changed in 50k miles are brake pads, tyres and wiper fluid (of course also oil, filter and all that jazz).
Good review. I’d like to share my review on 2 Fiesta ST’s that I’ve owned starting with my 2016 Kona Blue FiST. I bought my 16’ (base model) new for $17, 073. I put 70,000 miles on it and the only problem it had was a bum radiator. On a hot summer day it went into limp-mode (around 10,000 miles), took it to a dealer to find out that the radiator was defective from the factory. They replaced the radiator with one that wasn’t defective... no problems since. The 16’ never did the funny fuel-up thing, and it ran strong for a stock engine. Only 2 mods: a used Boomba BOV adaptor ($20), and a new COBB RMM. Shortly after I bought the 16’ my wife picked up a new 17’ Magnetic Gray (base model) $18,204 with 0% interest. This one ended up being modified (Stage 2, custom E30 tune, FSWerks short shift, RMM, and Pierce Motorsports 2-point chassis brace)... the car is actually fast on E30. The only problem I’ve had was the clicking blend door problem, but it happened at 30,000 miles and was fixed under warranty. The 17’ has 60,000 miles on it now with no problems besides the funny fuel-up thing.
I just saw this video of your 2015 fiesta. I also have a 2015 fiesta but I do not have that many miles on it. It is now August of 2022 and I am 500 mi short of 30,000 mi and the only problem I've had with my car so far is the same thing you've showed with the mixing valve and that is all I've had. Good luck with the rest of your car and I guess good luck with the rest of my car lol
I bought a 2012 fiesta SE in summer of 21 and other than needing a clutch job (had like 120k miles when i bought it) but since then its fantastic. I drive it for work 100-300 miles a day and starts and drives no questions asked every single day of the week.
Yeah, I’m a little frustrated at America’s refusal to buy into the small car market, too.
Same here. But i don't buy new cars so I'm part of the problem.
Not just that - Ford is not going to sell cars in the US anymore (except the Mustang.) Just SUVs and pickups, etc.

yes - this. I had to replace mine within the first 20k miles of car ownership. But it is a simple and cheap job.
Yup - even my Chevy Sonic had the same issue. $20 part and maybe 10 minutes of my time and it was back to working order.
This happened to my 2017 at around 40k miles.
I'm doing exactly the same with my 2014 Fiesta ST here in South Africa. 160000km recently as well and completely flawless :)
You have the car now mate? Any issues?
@@DimoS... I do. I've had zero issues whatsoever hey. Once I thought I did, but it was just the previous mechanic didn't change 1 plug because it was too tight so they were scared. New guys sorted that out and booya 😊
@CuanL I want so much this car mate. I know people's with headgasket issues from factory (weird) and people's with over 250hp without issues! Even with 350hp!. Can go in your opinion this engine over 250.000 miles without big repairs ?
@@DimoS... I think it can yes. So long as you make sure you do proper maintenance... And so far I've been told to keep the software stock. Plenty power imo already. I mean I'm on 125000 miles so far... Can never say what will happen in another 100000 though
@CuanL I see the 1stage revo 230-240hp is very safe for engine and gearbox. You know what is the best oil for this engine?
I never get tired of this video. I love St's
Great editing and I love the different measurements of 100k miles!
Thanks for the content. Hope to see more about the shop (especially the pit) and the Bus.

In Europe a car with mismatched tires on an axle would not pass inspection...
Wow that sucks for you...
not in the UK unless they are rotating in the wrong direction, my last car had 4 completely different tires when I got it!
@@royster211085 Which he says they are.
Haha.. if it got tread it's legal as
Not in the UK at least. Have 1 5 year old Goodyear on the rear left and 3 matching cheap ones everywhere else
The choking after you fill the tank up is the fuel purge valve that needs replaced and it’s a pretty cheap fix, you’ll never have to worry about not filling the car to full again or worry about it choking.
Why is this dude talking about a car ?
The doggo is what caught my attention

Respect from the UK! We love our hot hatches!
7:57 As a Focus ST owner I feel attacked.
The weird sound is the A/C blend actuator
I have a 2018 FiST with 124k miles. Perfection. There is NO replacement! Driving perfection.
Your rear view mirror is not the original? How i know it? Because i own a fiesta, and i have the same replacement part for it. :D
This videos got me even more pumped about my new vehicle so thanks for that
Love the sarcasm 😂💯
"Or when the engine blows up"
You're totally rebuilding that engine when that happens.
Tom Owen mountune built long block $2000 and giant turbo time
I have a 2012 Ford Fiesta Titanium. It’s done 230,000 km so far. It’s underpowered, shudders at low speeds like a manual, the headlights randomly shut off or doesn’t turn on when you need them to, and I love it.
Suppose this is thing blew up tomorrow. What car would you be getting to replace it
I’m getting one of these as my next car, love this guy he’s funny af
Small and quick cars are the best! Especially if you have a touch of torque steer to keep you on your toes. Lol
I have a Chevy Spark EV and it's an absolute blast to drive thanks to it's 327 lb-ft of torque and 0-60mph in 7.2 seconds. If you're ever in Idaho I'd be more than happy to let you make a video on it. Admittedly not as quirky as the other EVs you've reviewed, but it fits perfectly between those and your Fiesta.
mine is a 2017 and has 20k its modded and I have never had a problem out of it, love this little thing
I would like a video of your dog riding in all of your vehicles including the truck camper.
Love my '16 Focus ST! Full bolt-ons and a tune made it even better.

What happened to the durango and that straight 6 car you hinted at.
The bus is the straight six he talked about
The editing on these videos continues to astound me. This is some Capitan Dissolution level editing.
I'm a student at S&T and I'm trying to find out what happened to the car you donated to the auto club. I'm pretty sure it was destroyed. Oops.

I really want to hate this video but you nailed every single point for owning a FiST. Great video.
My infiniti's blend door doesn't work on the driver's side so on 90+ degree days I get extra heat on the driver's side. I should fix that. I won't.
I feel u lol
My '90 Wrangler's vent door sticks in heat when you try to slide it over to vent.
I ignore it and pull the top+doors off.
Even in like 10 years, you will probably still be saying "nothing has gone wrong". Basically another re-run of this video
Such a cool little car! My friend has bought a new Fiesta ST3 and it’s amazing
Yeah low profile tires need to go away. No tire needs to be that effing thin.
I watched this about two months ago for the first time.
Now I'm the fourth owner of a Dark Grey 2017 Fiesta ST.
The first time a place screwed up something so simple in such an idiotic way, I certainly wouldn't take it back (especially not several times).
man you're so funny !, your sense of humor is for others (youtubers for ex.) to learn from, I will make sure to watch your previous videos
Welcome to small European hot hatchbacks dude, they're great.
EDIT: As you can't get the next generation in America, move to Europe. Simples :-)
I do wish they would sell some of those hot hatches they have in Europe over here. Nooo, they make more SUV's and pickups, something I'll never buy. 😭
@@mikes.4811 In addition to the Fiesta ST, they sold the Fiat 500 Abarth here for a good 8 years before ending it this year. Not enough people bought them - apparently including you since you're still expressing wishful thinking. Missed the window dude. You can still buy 'em used though.
@@AlvinBrinson Yes, and the Fiat 500 does not interest me. I owned a Focus ST. But, im not talking about just those examples. I've been told by people I've shown pictures of the car to on the net to "get one in a bright color - it looks best in a bright color."
There's a 2015 Ford Fiesta ST in town selling for only $14,000 that is painted straight from the factory in Shadow Black.
100k shouldn't be much for any car, talk whe, we get to 300+k, on any car.
Welcome back! I enjoy your postings!
Isn't it good that Americans can get European cars.
Kinda sad to know of the chicken tax, so no European pick-ups in America unless those childish politicians would rid off that shenanigan
Man I love my fiesta! I’m coming up to 70k miles and was thinking of upgrading, I think I’ll hang onto it.

@@bibasik7 funny how the lb is based on the Kilo ;)
It is not the same as kilo joule.

Other than that, same issues as you, and truly a great car!
America doesn't want and/or refuses to have interest/invest into the small car market...... but keeps nagging into making *"more efficient this"* or *"more efficient that"* -- while producing massive trucks and SUVs. I mean seriously, how to they expect to be more economical when they keep making vehicles the size of Saturn lol :D The thing is gonna' want more fuel and power - duhhh ^_^
P.S. -- Don't shoot the messenger, Im just passing the information along ;)
Thats how i feel , regular carreviews just uploaded a video on a rare hybrid car from VW.(normaly i like his videos but this one left a bad taste in my mouth :/ )
Basicly a test if people are interestet in hybrids and they got mocked for it ...
Something like 100km on 2 liters of fuel..
The government is trying to regulate those vehicles into existence. Americans don't want little eco cars when they can comfortably afford a truck or SUV.
Noice editing, great car, great dog, and great you. Great to have you back.
"Americans aren't buying cars anymore"
Correction: *Americans aren't buying American cars anymore*
Ask Toyota or Honda if they're having trouble clearing their Corolla/Civic inventories...
Good to see you're happy with the fiesta
Just found your channel recently but really enjoy the videos. Have had a Fiesta since 2016, started with a new 1.0L SFE when I had 4 hours of commuting every day, then upgraded to a used 2016 ST in Dec 2019. I will likely keep it forever, it will continue to be my daily until some small EV hatch like a bolt or leaf get cheap enough.
I love this video it makes me feel better about living in RSA
Thank you. You just sold me on the fiesta st.
LOVE the long haired Doxie! The long haired variety are so sweet and calm, but still have that Doxie energy.
