Just bought a limo. Although it is really nice, it feels heavy, especially when cornering. The ride quality sucks. I mean, it's ok, but you can't really feel much feedback from the suspension... it's just so mushy you barely feel like you are moving. The trunk is way too big, I wish they had made that smaller. Put a ten inch subwoofer in there and it looks so tiny. The car itself is way too long. The windows are tinted really dark and it is hard to see into. The most annoying thing is to shift into D I have to row through the gears, from P, into R, to N, then into D, when I just want to go forward. D should be first, then P, then R, with N last. I never go anywhere in Nth gear. Besides these issues, it's a great car!
Iv 6.1 no issue . Stick to auto dude. Unless the UK version st is different as right hand drive. Decent lil hot hatch for price etc. And a stage one with a resonator delete and a panel filter . Tasty.
if it's bouncy, it's definitely oversprung, ironically i think adjustable coilovers could improve the ride just with more dampening to make the springs chill out also the brake pads wear even faster due to """torque vectoring""" so on top of an aggressive compound they're constantly clamping down on the front discs through turns. i still want one tho
You want a car with Recaro Seats, buy the used car so equipped. 5th gear usually near 6th. Small cars tend not to have large boots even before you install a subwoofer. Buy a Focus ST or better still a VW Golf GTI. But be sure buy with the options you seek. 👍
I own a 2016 Fiesta St. 80600 km on the clock now. In South Africa we only have the 2 door version Fiesta ST and we drive on the left lane (side) of the road! So in my vehicle I use my left hand to change gears and reverse 5 th gear is "closer" to me! Greetings from Pretoria South Africa 3 November 2020.
I feel like like gear issue is a short person problem lol, you say you're tall, im 5'11 and find absolutly no issue with shifting, and I sit way back as well lol
Mine came without the recaros but even worse cause it's the 2014 model. So no back up camera or newer sync either. The 5th gear issue is actually biggest pet peeve. But this is probably the most accurate complaints to my own that I've seen. Still love the car though.
You added a pointless subwoofer on a supposed sporty car and then complain about the trunk size...that's so dumb. that's like complaining about missing an arm bc you decided to cut it off yourself.
@@Chewygsxr I tested one with the Recaros, and I knew they wouldn't be good for long trips. I've done week-long road trips with the base seats and they're comfy as hell. 6'0", 180 lbs.
I got about 45,000 out of the first set of brakes with my driving. I can't say that any of my complaints on the Fiesta ST match yours except the brake dust. But I have grey wheels. I bought mine with the Recaros. I like them but rarely do my passengers. My complaints would be the blend door actuator failures. Had one replaced before warranty ran out and then it broke again and I haven't bothered to replace it because it will just break again anyway. Sync 3 system is slow and unresponsive. It's probably defective because it was one of the first Sync 3 systems, but the dealership looked at it and they didn't see the problem so I just gave up. I've owned this car brand new since 2016 now its just cumbersome to drive i.e. if u feel lazy or tired the upshifts or downshifts are just annoying ride quality crap too and you get a nice amount of torque but dies of very quickly, like a diesel.
recaros are nice and maybe its the way I sit, but the recaros in my fiesta get uncomfortable after awhile. First to second is super short in my car for some reason. blend door actuator valve went out at 64k. Nothing else but love for this car.
Hi Chucky here, At Mariot, parking cars, always telling the guys, "Fiestas always got dirty front wheel They thought I was crazy💔. ☺️ Can't wait to show this clip to them
The thing about the suspension i've noticed in a couple different fords. I think it's just how they do their suspension. I've seen what you're talking about in a ford escape, and a ford focus before. Very stiff, and bumpy.
Re: the seats...You had the choice to buy the car or not lol. That’s not a con by any stretch. There’s more people that actually said the cloth seats are better for long road trips compared to the Recaros despite what you may think.
It’s a fiesta, it’s 1980’s small car small. If you were after cargo space and ride comfort then a fiesta shouldn’t have even been your last choice. These are basically street legal go-karts, they’re small, handle well and are fun! These stock seats do suck though, I’m 6’0” with long legs and a short torso, the muscles behind my knee start to hurt after driving for more than 3 hours.
You're a slim guy. I'm not fat but fairly muscular with broad shoulders. I love the stock seats even for long trips. I can't even fit into the Recaros. The ride is terrible. I have driven fully prepared racecars, and the suspension is about at the same level of firmness, which makes it a great track day car even in stock condition. Same for the firm brakes.
The first FiST I drove had the Recaros. I preferred the stock seats. If you want to race the car or autocross, etc., the Recaros are what you want. If it's your DD, the stock seats are better than the base Fiesta, and still let you manspread on longer trips. They're also a little lower and more adjustable.
So what I’m hearing is: 5 things I hate about race car I bought. It’s a street legal race car. Bumpy ride? Sport tuned suspension, brake dust? Performance brakes, doesn’t have Recaro’s? Well those “recaro’s” aren’t real anyway. Real Recaro’s don’t recline and don’t have adjustable bolsters. I don’t have problems with my 5th gear and I’m 5’11”. No trunk space? Why’d you buy a fiesta? And the seats fold down. In conclusion the video should be called: I wanted a focus RS but bought a Fiesta ST and now I’m sad.
He buys a sports car hoping for no hard ride ? Hates the seats I drive my st every day and I’m comfy I think your just too skinny And don’t buy white wheels expecting them to stay white and yes the brakes do wear quick but that’s all brakes on any sports car
You have a very low tolerance of pain, I have a 14 ST with the stock seats, I just put 1,496 mile trip to Oregon in August, I’ve been there 4 times and have done Tahoe 6 times, these are the most comfortable seat I have ever sat in, I’m 5”9’ & 180, I have 94,000 miles on the car and I’m on my 6th set of tires that’s how hard I drive it, and I’m 73 years young. The Fiesta Flash 🤙🏼🍺🍺
About the only agree I got with you is the brake dust . But I got the ebony ones so not that big of an issue . And busting through brake pads ina year ? I guess you are driving it like you stole it 24/7. But at the end you do say you are nitpicking which you sure as shit where . Bang for the buck on this thing is incredible.
Ride. Yeah it's bad with 17 inch rims. The solution is 16 inch rims with 50 series tires. I know, you think that will screw up the handling. It won't, many Autocrossers run 16 inch rims because the wheels can be lighter and they improve the handling. Seats. You think that a 3 hour drive is a long trip. What a baby, I'll do 700 miles with nothing but a stop for gas and a quick pee and arrive feeling nice and fresh and I'm 69 years old. The throw to 5th is too long. I'm 5'10" and it's not an issue for me at all. As for trunk space, all I care about is if my competition shotguns will fit and they do, all 4 of them. 10 inch woofer, that's just a stupid way to wreck the balance of a moderately decent sound system.
Definitely hate cleaning my wheels on a weekly basis with the pads that were on the FiST. Even after installing new ones I still get the annoying low speed brake squeak, but at least the brake dust is minimal now.
Two things are your own fault. 1 you bought the car that didn’t have the good seats you could of found a used one with the recaro seats and 2 you must of put them white wheels on yourself.

Brake dust depends on the quality of the pads , cheap pads make more dust and wear more easily ...
