Awesome pictures/video! The song playing has great lyrics and fits the slides well. Thanks for posting this Steve; the Santa Fe has always been my favorite railroad since childhood. - Balerio
Steve Arnold, You must have a ton of stories to tell Steve, that's awesome! Always been fascinated by the most storied of America's railroads. Hope you and your family had a good Thanksgiving! Thanks again man!
Damn I miss that life, working to make a living, with every day seemed too hot, too cold, too wet or that Thick Fog. No shift was ever without danger. Yet always a smile and waves from people in cars stuck at crossings. Maybe I will never know why this job, that tests ever one on the crew that an built a teamwork and friendships between all of us. So when needed It was all right making fun of missing a pin. I feel good knowing I had the opportunity to know lived my job as a Brakemen, on the Santa Fe...good hard times... hey did the Conductor catch the crummy ? And thanks for this video.

Thanks for the memories. That sure looks like Richgrove @1:41, I spent my summers there during the mid to late 1960's as a kid.
