Mahalo Keanu I was sued by a major mortgage company circa 2003. They sued me in Federal Court in Utah. My response went to jurisdiction that they should have over a Hawaiian living in Hawaii. The judge went quiet and after 3 years of back and forth between me and the mortgage company (judge said nothing) the case was dropped.

I agree with you and have felt this way for years. My mom and dad left California for Honolulu in 1941 when my dad got hired to work for the Star Bulletin. After the war broke out, my dad joined the Navy and my mom worked for the Army Corps of Engineers. During an R&R, my dad came home and my mother became pregnant with me. She was supposed to leave Hawai’i and go back to the US and had a ticket to fly out on PanAm, but I came one month early and was born in Kapiolani Maternity Hospital the morning before her flight. Though I am “ha’ole” and brought up in California, I feel I am more Hawai’ian than American, and for years have considered Hawai’i an occupied country. So, I really appreciate and am grateful for your presentation.

It just goes to show how very important history is. In 4th grade we learned about the Mission Indians and the army forts, but we really didn't learn anything about the treaties and stuff like that. we made salt & flour maps. See Hawaiʻi is an independent State that is being belligerently occupied by the US as Hawaiʻi (specifically the Hawaiian Kingdom became an independent State with recognition of Great Britain and France on November 28, 1843 and then by the US in 1844. What happened took place in america with native americans is that they were consumed by colonization. Hawaiʻi wasn't colonized by the US but instead the US committed the war crime of usurpation of sovereignty but hid it by lying to the world that Hawaiʻi was colonized. The case identified the Hawaiian Kingdom because that's just what you called yourself. If you would have named yourself Purple Tiger they would have written that down too. The PCA explicitly said in their award that they make no determination on the current existence of the Hawaiian Kingdom. The PCA does hear cases brought by private parties, that fact is clearly stated on their website.
There IS a Hawaiian Kingdom government, Dr Sai is the interim regent of that government and was recognized as such by the PCA in The Hague and the UN. The government as a whole needs to follow the Hawaiian Constitution to be re-established after the occupation comes to an end. Which is why he is the “interim” regent, which is a temporary figure until a permanent one can take over.

The men, upwards of 160 in all, were supplied with double cartridge belts filled with ammunition and with haversacks and canteens, and were accompanied by a hospital corps with stretchers and medical supplies (p. 451).” President Cleveland ascertained that this “military demonstration upon the soil of Honolulu was of itself an act of war, unless made either with the consent of the Government of Hawaii or for the bona fide purpose of protecting the imperiled lives and property of citizens of the United States. But there is no pretense of any such consent on the part of the Government of the Queen, which at that time was undisputed and was both the de facto and the de jure government. In point of fact the existing government instead of requesting the presence of an armed force protested against it (p. 451).” He then stated, “a candid and thorough examination of the facts will force the conviction that the provisional government owes its existence to an armed invasion by the United States (p. 454).”

Because if you are correct, than everyone all the time would find themselves in perpetual never ending all consuming legal tribunals, Crimes agains humanity by modern standards were committed all through history and everyone at one time or another, even by Hawaiians themselves through different eras. On top of that, the standards change with time. We would obviously need clearly defined standards applicable to specific dates otherwise it becomes completely meaningless. As far as the second question I do not think you understood what I said. All civil wars and rebellions pretty much have a exterior stronger power that tries to influence them. I will use the US war of revolution for a example however there are many more in fact all of them are similar, the rebels were British subjects, they were financed and even militarily aided by the french, with literally war ships, arms, and even manpower. However no one would argue because the French helped the Rebels it would than in turn make the Revolutionary war any less real. USA is not part of Britain today, and Britain can not argue that France participated in the Revolutionary war therefore it is null and voided and the USA should go back to being British. When the Safety Committee rebelled against the Kingdoms monarchy and over threw it, with or without the help of a exterior force, it was in fact a real occurrence, Than the Republic oh Hawaii took over and the Republic actually became international recognized. Therefore making it a recognized nation on the world stage. The Kingdom at which point if I am correct by international law seized to exist in the views of the International community, just like how the British American Colonies seized to exist when the United States Of America became recognized. Of course, the United Kingdom refused to recognize the USA, just like how the Kingdom refused to recognize the Republic of Hawaii, but that's now how any of this works... How can UK say the kingdom of Hawaii exists while at the same time accepting the new existence of the Republic of Hawaii, one voids the other.

It was very sad what had happen during the late 19th century in Hawaii. But today Hawaii is the tip of the spear for our national security of the United States and the Pacific Ocean by the U.S. military and help keeping the sea lanes open and free from invasions from aggressive hostile foreign forces by using our Military in Hawaii and Guam. Aloha, I’m going to try to explain. First of all you ask what Dr Keanu Sai is trying to do… the answer is he’s trying to get the US to end its illegal occupation of the sovereign Hawaiian Kingdom. To explain this, I want to address something else you said in your comment. In order to BE considered a country you have to gain international sovereign recognition by other countries agreeing in a treaty that they recognize you AS a country. To do that you have to be United under one leader, have a government, have an infrastructure, have a constitution, have a universal currency, have a healthcare system, a judicial system, be involved in political agreements and pacts with foreign countries… things like that, and essentially conduct yourself AS a country, then get foreign countries to recognize you AS a foreign country by signing a treaty stating that you are a sovereign country. The native Americans didn’t have that when they were colonized. - Who was the ruler the ruler of their country? - What was their country called? - What did their flag look like? - What was in their constitution? - What did their universal currency look like? - What kind of healthcare system did they have? - What countries recognized them as a sovereign country through a treaty? Native Americans had none of that because they weren’t a country. The Hawaiian Kingdom had all of that, we gained international sovereign recognition in 1843 through the Anglo Franco proclamation and our sovereignty was later further solidified when additional countries recognized our sovereignty, including the US. So Native Americans didn’t have a country, so Europeans colonizers were allowed to legally colonize them in accordance to international law. The Hawaiian Kingdom however IS a country, and you CANNOT colonize a sovereign country, that’s illegal, you also can’t forcefully annex a foreign country, BOTH sides have to sign a treaty wherein one side relinquishes its sovereignty to the other, “not while under duress”. There is no treaty of annexation wherein we relinquished our sovereignty to the US or anyone, therefore we CONTINUE to be a sovereign country albeit illegally occupied by the US.
Dr Sai is very clear about not only what he “wants” but what the US must eventually do in accordance to international law & that’s to deoccupy the sovereign Hawaiian Kingdom. I think what your misunderstanding is the “Native lands” as you’re referring to them, meaning Native Americans Im assuming, were not the sovereign lands of an internationally recognized COUNTRY. The land Europeans stole from Native Americans… what country was that? What was the one leader they were all unified under? What did their constitution say? What did their universal national currency look like? What did their national flag look like? What countries did they participate in international agreements and pacts with? What countries granted them international sovereign recognition? In what year did they gain international sovereign recognition? What was the capitol of their country? What kind of government did they have? The Hawaiian Kingdom, unlike the land that European colonizers stole from Native Americans, is an internationally recognized sovereign country, we gained international sovereign recognition through the Anglo Franco Proclamation in 1843 when Britain and France recognized us AS a sovereign country. Our sovereignty was later further solidified when essentially every country at the time recognized us as a sovereign country, including the US. Unfortunately Native Americans didn’t get the chance to gain sovereignty for themselves and therefore according to international law, it was legal to takeover their lands… legal according to international law, which was created by colonizers to justify their theft of lands, but none the less it’s the law we follow to this day. The Hawaiian Kingdom is a sovereign country, the Native Americans never had a country…. which isn’t to say it was okay to steal from them, it clearly wasn’t and it’s actually illegal now, but nonetheless it was considered legal then… but also not moral. What the US did to the Hawaiian Kingdom however was completely illegal, the US never annexed the Hawaiian Kingdom, therefore we continue to exist as a sovereign country, albeit illegally occupied by the US in the longest running occupation ever.
Also, you mention the “50 states”… every single state was acquired via a TREATY, because that’s the only legal way to acquire foreign lands… except the Hawaiian Kingdom. The US tried to get us to sign a treaty but we wouldnt and they can’t force us. Instead the US passed a law called a joint resolution to supposedly “annex” the Hawaiian Kingdom against our will, but US laws are domestic to the US, they have no power or jurisdiction beyond its own borders, therefore it can’t annex a foreign country. If countries could pass laws annexing foreign countries against their will, don’t you think Russia or China would have passed a joint resolution annexing the US?!?!?! The Hawaiian Kingdom is not and never has been part of the US. I hope that cleared things up. Take care.

Yes, the “end game” is for the US to end its prolonged illegal occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom, deport all non-Hawaiians that they allowed into our country over the last 131 years, leave our country and face international court or the international community to answer for the crimes they’ve committed in the last 131 years, which like all occupations will result in reparations to be paid to the Hawaiian Kingdom and its people, to be determined by international court by the length of the occupation and the crimes committed.

However, while on the topic, non-Hawaiians, meaning people who are not Hawaiian subjects (of any ethnicity), WILL be subject to deportation, the responsibility of which lies upon the US to carry out the deportation of their citizens. The Hawaiian Kingdom does not allow for dual citizenship, anyone who wants to remain here will have to formally and legally relinquish their American citizenship (at a U.S. embassy or consulate) and once verified you will be able to apply for naturalization to the Hawaiian Kingdom when we eventually open up our Kingdom to new citizens (we may not do so immediately, Americans and other foreigns may first need to go through the deportation process and live in their own countries until we open our Kingdom up to new citizens).

After the war broke out, my dad joined the Navy and my mom worked for the Army Corps of Engineers. During an R&R, my dad came home and my mother became pregnant with me. She was supposed to leave Hawai’i and go back to the US and had a ticket to fly out on PanAm, but I came one month early and was born in Kapiolani Maternity Hospital the morning before her flight. Though I am “ha’ole” and brought up in California, I feel I am more Hawai’ian than American, and for years have considered Hawai’i an occupied country. See Hawaiʻi is an independent State that is being belligerently occupied by the US as Hawaiʻi (specifically the Hawaiian Kingdom became an independent State with recognition of Great Britain and France on November 28, 1843 and then by the US in 1844. What happened took place in america with native americans is that they were consumed by colonization. Hawaiʻi wasn't colonized by the US but instead the US committed the war crime of usurpation of sovereignty but hid it by lying to the world that Hawaiʻi was colonized. I find this hard to believe, where did you find this? Because if you are correct, than everyone all the time would find themselves in perpetual never ending all consuming legal tribunals, Crimes agains humanity by modern standards were committed all through history and everyone at one time or another, even by Hawaiians themselves through different eras. On top of that, the standards change with time. We would obviously need clearly defined standards applicable to specific dates otherwise it becomes completely meaningless.
As far as the second question I do not think you understood what I said.
All civil wars and rebellions pretty much have a exterior stronger power that tries to influence them. I will use the US war of revolution for a example however there are many more in fact all of them are similar, the rebels were British subjects, they were financed and even militarily aided by the french, with literally war ships, arms, and even manpower. However no one would argue because the French helped the Rebels it would than in turn make the Revolutionary war any less real. USA is not part of Britain today, and Britain can not argue that France participated in the Revolutionary war therefore it is null and voided and the USA should go back to being British.
When the Safety Committee rebelled against the Kingdoms monarchy and over threw it, with or without the help of a exterior force, it was in fact a real occurrence, Than the Republic oh Hawaii took over and the Republic actually became international recognized. Therefore making it a recognized nation on the world stage. The Kingdom at which point if I am correct by international law seized to exist in the views of the International community, just like how the British American Colonies seized to exist when the United States Of America became recognized. It was very sad what had happen during the late 19th century in Hawaii. But today Hawaii is the tip of the spear for our national security of the United States and the Pacific Ocean by the U.S. military and help keeping the sea lanes open and free from invasions from aggressive hostile foreign forces by using our Military in Hawaii and Guam. China is a bigger threat than ever before, so the military will never go away. So I don't know exactly what Dr. Keanu Sai is trying to do or want with all respect. Also the American government back in the 18th and 19th century had taken over all native lands, and they are all 50 States now with millions of mixed race living in them now, just like Hawaii is now. Just like the Roman Empire or any empire in history, lands have been always been taken and occupied. So, again Dr Sai needs to be clear on what he wants done. I respect Dr. Sai freedom of speech, and what he is some what saying ?, and that the Hawaii State government needs to move much faster by taking care of the local native Hawaiians who are homeless and in need of proper housing ASAP. I’m going to try to explain.
First of all you ask what Dr Keanu Sai is trying to do… the answer is he’s trying to get the US to end its illegal occupation of the sovereign Hawaiian Kingdom.
To explain this, I want to address something else you said in your comment. In order to BE considered a country you have to gain international sovereign recognition by other countries agreeing in a treaty that they recognize you AS a country. To do that you have to be United under one leader, have a government, have an infrastructure, have a constitution, have a universal currency, have a healthcare system, a judicial system, be involved in political agreements and pacts with foreign countries… things like that, and essentially conduct yourself AS a country, then get foreign countries to recognize you AS a foreign country by signing a treaty stating that you are a sovereign country. The native Americans didn’t have that when they were colonized.

- What did their flag look like?
- What was in their constitution?
- What did their universal currency look like?

- What countries recognized them as a sovereign country through a treaty?
Native Americans had none of that because they weren’t a country. The Hawaiian Kingdom had all of that, we gained international sovereign recognition in 1843 through the Anglo Franco proclamation and our sovereignty was later further solidified when additional countries recognized our sovereignty, including the US.
So Native Americans didn’t have a country, so Europeans colonizers were allowed to legally colonize them in accordance to international law. The Hawaiian Kingdom however IS a country, and you CANNOT colonize a sovereign country, that’s illegal, you also can’t forcefully annex a foreign country, BOTH sides have to sign a treaty wherein one side relinquishes its sovereignty to the other, “not while under duress”. There is no treaty of annexation wherein we relinquished our sovereignty to the US or anyone, therefore we CONTINUE to be a sovereign country albeit illegally occupied by the US.
Dr Sai is very clear about not only what he “wants” but what the US must eventually do in accordance to international law & that’s to deoccupy the sovereign Hawaiian Kingdom.
I think what your misunderstanding is the “Native lands” as you’re referring to them, meaning Native Americans Im assuming, were not the sovereign lands of an internationally recognized COUNTRY. The land Europeans stole from Native Americans… what country was that? What was the one leader they were all unified under? What did their constitution say? What did their universal national currency look like? What did their national flag look like? What countries did they participate in international agreements and pacts with? What countries granted them international sovereign recognition? In what year did they gain international sovereign recognition? What was the capitol of their country? What kind of government did they have?
The Hawaiian Kingdom, unlike the land that European colonizers stole from Native Americans, is an internationally recognized sovereign country, we gained international sovereign recognition through the Anglo Franco Proclamation in 1843 when Britain and France recognized us AS a sovereign country. Our sovereignty was later further solidified when essentially every country at the time recognized us as a sovereign country, including the US.
Unfortunately Native Americans didn’t get the chance to gain sovereignty for themselves and therefore according to international law, it was legal to takeover their lands… legal according to international law, which was created by colonizers to justify their theft of lands, but none the less it’s the law we follow to this day. The Hawaiian Kingdom is a sovereign country, the Native Americans never had a country…. which isn’t to say it was okay to steal from them, it clearly wasn’t and it’s actually illegal now, but nonetheless it was considered legal then… but also not moral.
What the US did to the Hawaiian Kingdom however was completely illegal, the US never annexed the Hawaiian Kingdom, therefore we continue to exist as a sovereign country, albeit illegally occupied by the US in the longest running occupation ever.
Also, you mention the “50 states”… every single state was acquired via a TREATY, because that’s the only legal way to acquire foreign lands… except the Hawaiian Kingdom. The US tried to get us to sign a treaty but we wouldnt and they can’t force us. Instead the US passed a law called a joint resolution to supposedly “annex” the Hawaiian Kingdom against our will, but US laws are domestic to the US, they have no power or jurisdiction beyond its own borders, therefore it can’t annex a foreign country.
If countries could pass laws annexing foreign countries against their will, don’t you think Russia or China would have passed a joint resolution annexing the US?!?!?!

Yes, the “end game” is for the US to end its prolonged illegal occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom, deport all non-Hawaiians that they allowed into our country over the last 131 years, leave our country and face international court or the international community to answer for the crimes they’ve committed in the last 131 years, which like all occupations will result in reparations to be paid to the Hawaiian Kingdom and its people, to be determined by international court by the length of the occupation and the crimes committed.

This person didn’t ask about non-Hawaiians, he asked about kicking the US out, which, yes, Interim Regent Sai IS attempting to do that, eventually, AFTER the US conforms to international law.
However, while on the topic, non-Hawaiians, meaning people who are not Hawaiian subjects (of any ethnicity), WILL be subject to deportation, the responsibility of which lies upon the US to carry out the deportation of their citizens.
The Hawaiian Kingdom does not allow for dual citizenship, anyone who wants to remain here will have to formally and legally relinquish their American citizenship (at a U.S. embassy or consulate) and once verified you will be able to apply for naturalization to the Hawaiian Kingdom when we eventually open up our Kingdom to new citizens (we may not do so immediately, Americans and other foreigns may first need to go through the deportation process and live in their own countries until we open our Kingdom up to new citizens).

Regardless of the character of these individuals there is the vote to join the Union. Broadly speaking today: no foreign country, nor the UN, nor any court in the US has ever sided with these people to suggest that Hawaii isn’t legally a US state. I’ve yet to find a court decision that says Hawaii is an accupied kingdom rather than the reality most islanders subscribe to today.
Even more than this, the movement is a minority, as far as I understand it, of both the indigenous Hawaiian population, and the broader state population. Even if a vote were to go up again, every citizen of the islands, regardless of race or gender, has the ability to vote on the status of the island. To deny them thus would break anti-discrimination laws, and US Supreme Court rulings.
