Hi sir nice review. So next week I will order this nitro 5 for our church setup. Just one question, is it worth it to buy the rtx3060 version for additional $300 or rtx3050 will do? Thanks in advance! Godbless 💕
Thank you. What will you be using if for broadly in your Church. If you are not playing games it will be fine. If you are video editing with Adobe Premiere then the 3060 will be a better. If you do opt for a 3060 you can find it cheaper than an additional 300. You also have to watch out for GPU TDP. Some 3060's are more powerful than others so keep an eye out for that.

As for the longevity usage is this laptop the best buy for now ? I am also curious about how long would the battery last ?😅 sorry for the many questions, hopefully you can awnser thank you !😁
Hello, great review of this laptop. I was wondering, would you choose this over the HP Victus 15.6 with the 12th gen I7? Both are same price right now. Thanks
guys should I buy this same laptop with 8GB RAM and 3050 but that has a MUX switch from microcenter Will it be worth it or shall i stick to this one with 16GB and 3050Ti at bestbuy ?
Hi I was looking for gaming laptop and I am bit confused between Rtx3050 and rtx3050Ti and I have seen rtx3050 is a bit more pricey so should I really consider 3050Ti for better fps or RTX 3050 would be ok for AAA titles
3050 Ti is faster. It's a little more pricey as you said. 3050 is ok for AAA titles as long as the CPU is good. If you look for 3050 Ti also compare the 3060 models as sometimes the price is pretty close.
Are there any additional bios settings that can be tweaked over previous generations such as xmp, or the like? My guess is no, but just want to be sure.
Can someone suggest to me which spec more powerful for 2022 and many year later, which is AMD Ryzen 7 4800 H with RTX3050 Ti or I5 12500 H with RTX 3050 Ti ?
I have not played many VR titles with it but from what I have experienced, Yes. I would try to roll with a 3060 if possible and maybe a different brand of Laptop. My machine has already increased in temp after a few months of game testing and had to be repasted. Going with a 3060 will be better in the long run. This machine does not have a mDP so if you need that then you are out of luck.
Hey how long does the battery last on a normal usage? Would you recommend this laptop or the Lenovo Legion 5 with Ryzen 7 5800H and a rtx 3050ti Which one do you think is a better option?
Can you try Emulations pcx2, rpcs3, dolphin on this one that new i5 12500h has 12cores 16 threads it’s much faster than the last year acer nitro 5 moslt emulation uses more cpu power than the gpu(If increasing the resolution gpu power will also increase)
Which would you say is a better deal, in performance, aesthetics, display, cooling, and overall feel. This acer nitro 5 or the asus rog strix g15 ryzen 7 4800h rtx 3050ti. I'm having a hard time deciding which one to get.
Hey Meanpooh, Have you changed windows on this laptop or do you still have the factory of it ? If yes can you provide me with the OS that came with the laptop ?
Still using windows 10. There is no backup disk option. If you need the OS, go to Microsoft.com and download the OS for free. Create an installer USB and Install Microsoft Home. The Windows should register itself. I believe the key is hardcoded to the laptop. You will have to go to Acer and get the correct drivers for the machine after install. The other option is to use System Reset. It will put everything back like new.

Hello! I’ve never had a gaming laptop before and I was thinking about getting this one. The thing is I also wanted to use it for my college classes but I wouldn’t want it to be too loud in the classroom with its fans. So if I had the fans at the lowest setting possible and no game just simple school stuff, would it be quiet or no? Also can you install Microsoft 365 on this? Thank you and have a nice day!
I don't know how long your class or classes are but this is not a good machine for that. Battery life is bad , around 2.5 hours. You can install any software on the machine normally. I would get a MacBook or a different model with a Ryzen APU. Gaming laptops are truly not a good option for mobile school use and battery life no matter what anyone says.
@@Meanpooh May i ask what a good laptop would be then? I’ve been searching for a laptop for the past few days but I know nothing about them :( I need one for college but I really want it to be able to run Genshin Impact as well, do you know a good one?

This one right here has 90W 3050 and a 11th gen i5-11300H. For 600, this is a great deal. It should run everything on the market. I have plenty of videos on my channel with the i5 10300 and 1650 that run quite well. Since this has a 3050 GPU and a better CPU, you should blow my results away. I don't know if it has a mux switch to save power but if you are near a wall socket as you say, you'll be alright. I'm guessing if you throw in it power saver mode for school work, you should get at least 4 hours. Oh, the screen is 120Hz. The drive is only 256GB but you can always add another. Gaming performance will suffer on some game because of the 8GB of RAM so you will have to get another module whenever you can. GI should run fine though as its locked to 60FPS.. its on sale for the next 24h. www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-ideapad-gaming-3-15ihu6-15-6-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i5-8-gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3050-256-gb-ssd-shadow-black/6510066.p?skuId=6510066
Not exactly sure if it supports Gen 4 but It may support 2TB on the M.2 slot. I do know that the SATA connection does support a 2TB SSD as I have on in it.
At some point, I"ll upgrade my 2tb ssd gen3 to gen 4... during the migration of the gen 3 I'll pop in both the gen 4 stock drive and the new gen 4 in slot 1 and do the tests.. at the time I bought this gen 3 drive.. it wasn't a given that laptops would ever have gen 4 capability, at least for a while. This acer is a good migration point for me because I had upgraded my old acer with 32gb of ram and it works perfectly in this laptop, and a swapped this 16 back to that laptop to use for work. Benchmarks are marginally faster on the cruicial ram than stock micron (latency, even though the ram has the SAME specs). Hoping to hold off getting my next laptop until ddr5 and gen 5 ssd, and higher end gaming PCs aren't perpetually near $2k. I also hope mfg can improve battery capacity in the next 3-5 years.

If I hear of something i'll post back. If you want to see how a 3070 with a Ryzen 5800 performs at 1080 look here. It's in your FPS range.

You have the best reviews of laptops. Great work maybe you can review aorus laptops ?
Thank You! I wish I could but I'm not sponsored and the reviews only come from when I purchase them. Sorry.😟. The one really good thing that you can get from the review is knowing that it is not biased and will come from my experiences only. I'll tell you exactly how it is without external influences.
Great review
Fire video but pls does this laptop support windows hello either a fingerprint reader or face unlock?
Thank you. It does have the feature but does not work with the built in camera. I inserted a Logitech Brio and it worked fine.
Best review I've seen, thanks
Amazing review! This machine is exactly what I’m looking for since I don’t have a lot of time to sit at my PC anymore. I didn’t want to spend thousands since I still have my PC, so this is a perfect laptop. I’m going to pick it up tomorrow.
Remember, it’s still a budget machine. Build quality is good but compared to more expensive brands it not. Some games will make it run hot if not using max fans. I Intend to make an update to this machine on my findings. Good luck. 🍀
Great Review! But those Alder Lake CPU's do get toasty.
Yes they do.
amazing im depth review
Great review 👍
Thank you! 😀
Some 3060's are more powerful than others so keep an eye out for that.
perfect review can you do the AN515-58-7583 series next ?
Nice video! Very complete. Could you do a review of the lenovo ideapad gaming 2022 with i5 12500h - RTX 3050 or RTX 3060?
Great review! Can you recommend a budget gaming monitor that would work perfectly with this laptop’s specs?
Thanks!
You bet!
Gaming laptops are the best. Great video as always Meanpooh.
Thank you!! I think I may have gotten carried away and out too much in there.🤣

Hello, I'm pretty noob with in comes to laptop specs and when I saw your video I learned a lot and you seem to know a lot about computer. I'm planning to buy this computer but I only have budget for 8gb ram for now. I'm planning to upgrade in the future, may I know If i need to buy the same brand of ram? what if i can't find can I use other brand and what spec to look at to know that it will be compatible. Thanks you hope you can help me. Great video by the way i really enjoyed your presentation
hi meanphooh, great video btw, may I ask if what is the laptop's srgb percentage and nits brightness ? and with dlss supports games I would have no problem playing triple A titles right ? As for the longevity usage is this laptop the best buy for now ? I am also curious about how long would the battery last ?😅 sorry for the many questions, hopefully you can awnser thank you !😁
Hello, great review of this laptop. I was wondering, would you choose this over the HP Victus 15.6 with the 12th gen I7? Both are same price right now. Thanks
which one did you end up getting?
Nice video, nice laptop
Does this laptop work well for architecture? I would use programs like: Blender, Sketchup and AutoCAD.
Is the fan loud on this labtop I found your channel on bestbuy reviews
Bit late but nice video! also could you tell me how much fps this gets on fortnite low settings and rocket league? Thank you!
guys should I buy this same laptop with 8GB RAM and 3050 but that has a MUX switch from microcenter
Will it be worth it or shall i stick to this one with 16GB and 3050Ti at bestbuy ?
Where did they say it has a mux switch?
@@Meanpooh at microcenter version which has 3050
Looked at the only model they have with a 3050. No mention of a mux.

Your guess is correct.
Can someone suggest to me which spec more powerful for 2022 and many year later, which is AMD Ryzen 7 4800 H with RTX3050 Ti or I5 12500 H with RTX 3050 Ti ?
Gonna be the 12th gen Intel i5. It even beats out the 5800h
can we upgraded ddr4 ram to ddr 5 becoz it comes with a latest i5 12 or 17 12 gen laptop
I'm guessing this is great for streaming on OBS? No lag or dropped frames?
Not an issue.
So would you say this laptop is good for playing Vr games? I saw the half life alyx part of the video and it looks like it ran pretty good.
Would you recommend this laptop or the Lenovo Legion 5 with Ryzen 7 5800H and a rtx 3050ti
Which one do you think is a better option?
This has 12 cores and 16 threads beats any 5000 series apu now 6000 series maybe different in some cases but the 7000 more than likely will be
I just want to ask. What are the maximum upgrade of ssd, hdd, and ram with this laptop?ty...
what's the best nitrosense mode to use for lower quality games like roblox?
really called my dream laptop "BuDgEt LaPtOp"
I know but it's still a good machine.
I'm having a hard time deciding which one to get.
check benchmarks for both and compare it, which one has the better performance is the one you buy
@@Meanpooh Yeah I did exactly that, and the activation key got synced to my Microsoft account and automatically activated, bt now I again upgraded to win11 and I can't install dts x ultra it shows an error
This laptop must have better performance, right? since when recording performance is lowered...
Slightly. Some games are not affected when recording. Count on a 1-3% drop, depending on how graphically demanding the game is.
Do any of the keys have that annoying bump or raised part? Particularly the W key? Or is it all smooth?
The only raised part is on the F, J and 5 keys which is on almost on all KB for finger alignment.
@@Meanpooh how are the thermals? I’m not connected to watch the part right now. Does CPU get hotter than 80 whole gaming?
Can u review new ideapad gaming 3 2022 (gen 7) if available?

@@fuzzypaws6551 what’s is your budget? How long does the battery have to last? Will you have access to a wall socket? I’ll try and see if I can find something for you.
@@Meanpooh My budget is around 900 USD. The battery does not have to last super long. My classes are only 50 minutes long each and two are in person and the other two are online, so for the online classes I will have access to a wall socket. Thank you so much for helping me!! ☺️

How many watts is the video card?
In order to edit in Premiere Pro could i use this one and just upgrade ram to 32gig?
Yes you can.
Can you make a video on how well it runs roblox?
which nitro 5 would you prefer, the i5-12500 w/ rtx 3050 or ryzen 7-5800h w/ rtx 3060? Thanks bro!
Pretty close in performance but I would go for the 5800 and 3060. It's the better choice and if you can get a Legion that would be even better.
@@Meanpooh Thanks bro!
If you ever feel the need for it, can you upgrade the memory on this laptop?
Yeah i just ordered my 1TB M.2 storage . & if you meant RAM then yes you can also upgrade it, up to 32 gigs of ram
Brother on Fortnite how many fps will turn ? This pc please reply me
it has two M.2 slot & one extra SATA slot for HDD or SSD right ?
Does secondary M.2 also supports gen 4 SSD also does it support 2TB ?

I see laptops increasing in price. Even the low end.

What about the battery backup?
Do you know the best gaming laptop for under 1000?
Not really but for under a thousand I would look at the 3060. The 3050 Ti is ok but the 3060 is better regardless of the wattage.
The is a good price for the Dell
