@@kombokenji I love it, was a little low on storage with 512gb but I'll get an upgraded 1TB soon. 16gb ram it came with which I'd definitely recommend if thats not whats equipped already. The Nitro Sense app could use some tweaking as when I manually turn it to higher performance settings it gets a little glitchy on gaming. Otherwise it runs like a champ, use it with a 2nd monitor as the primary, with a USB hub to accomodate pretty much every device I need.

I have this laptop just with the Ryzen 7/RTX 3060 and I freaking love it!! Runs all my games at ultra settings with no issues.
I have the Nitro 5, i5 10300H / RTX 3060. Out of the box the CPU was thermal throttling at 93 degrees, laptop manufacturers use very low quality thermal paste, that is if the job is even done correctly. The GPU runs very cool.
For anyone needing to solve this issue - You can repaste with a high quality thermal compound if you have the know how, or you can adjust the maximum processor state of the CPU.
Go to Control panel-
Hardware and Sound-
Power Options-
Change plan settings-
Change advanced power settings-
Processor power management-
Change maximum processor state from 100 > 99.
This will disable turbo boost on the chip. You will now be running at the base clock speed of the CPU. It will solve the throttling issue but now you're limited to your base clock which will cause fps drops in CPU intensive games. There's always a trade off or sacrifice with gaming laptops.

I have the 15.5" (same specs as the video) and got mine for $899 ($975 after tax) on a blackfriday sale that lasted through the weekend at best buy. I love mine! It's my first "gaming laptop " and needed a good new laptop in general as my old one for just projects and general browsing crashed.
So far I have played rainbow six seige and modern warfare on it and both look and play amazing!!!

Personally i bought the i5-11400h with the 3060 version for 900$ i think it is better value for money even if you have to upgrade the ram from 8 to 16 but it's just my pick !

Wanted to buy Lenovo legion 5/5 pro but wasn't available...Ended up getting the HP PAVILION GAMING 15 with 5800H,3050Ti,16GB ram,256+1tb,144Hz display & Windows 10....used it for 5 days,so far i am pretty impressed with this laptop to be honest..

I bought a used 1650 with a Ryzen 5 version of the Nitro 5 for $500, and can I just say, that is the true best budget gaming laptop. Too bad it didn't have the ribbon cable for the expansion, so I'll have to find one online when I decide to do it.
The nitro 5 has a second nvme slot I believe. I have one and upgraded the ram and put in a 2.5" ssd and noticed that.
What about the hp pavillion gaming laptop
I like the models they made this year, 100% sRGB and up to a 3060. Thats the one I want. The brightness is not as good as I’d want it but this is still nice.
This is one of the best and there is one on amazon for $780 with a rtx 3050 and intel 10500H

Don't know how euros convert to dollars right now but yeah, got the legion with these specs for 1179€ during BF with additional rebate for students (not a student anymore but as long as you have your old uni email address you're good). Maybe we get more availability and better price in Europe, I don't know

1 thing to say is that if you get the 8gb ram variant definitely upgrade it to 16gb. I had around 80fps in apex and after the upgrade I got solid 144
yeah that's a minor " knit pick " I have ( besides the screen ) and in this " era " of gaming laptops I think 16 GB in every laptop is a requirement unless it's the " lower " priced models a company offers

I got mines on black friday for $679. Can't upgrade storage on the MacBook Pro. I can put a ton of storage on this thing. As much as I want and upgrade to 32GB of RAM. Mines is an i5 model. Its pretty much an i7 from 2017.

It has an i7-10750h , a GTX 1650 Ti, 512gb SSD , 32gb Ram and 144hz display such a good laptop
Why not touch on build quality?
Pretty much across the board the Acer laptops have crap plastic build quality and flex in the keyboard.
One of the biggest complaints you see is their keyboard so this seemed kind of biased.
I bought this unit at the mall here in my hometown because of a Christmas sale at the mall and I've been wanting to have a laptop like this for a long time. acer nitro 5 also of course and its specs are i5-11400H, 8GB DDR4 RAM 3200 MHz, 512GB NVMe SSD, 15.6 ”Full HD IPS 144 Hz, NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 3050 .. price 1,100 dollars in pesos its 55,000 original price.
This is what I’m saving up for. Haven’t watched the vid yet but hope it’s as good as I think it is.
Try the hp pavilion gaming desktop I mean if u don't have 144hz get the laptop

My only thing with gaming laptops is that the one i bought didn’t even last an hour and then it died. So i’m probably not going to buy a gaming laptop again

using a external monitor will even boost the FPS too ( there's a channel called Jarrods tech tips or similar ) with " optimus " disabled
the laptop screen and ram is what limits it mainly
The vram counter is always wrong on cods. It doesn't use as much as it says in my experience. Go by what the system requirements are, not the in game counter

The major drawbacks of budget laptops like these is the battery. Most of them uses small 41-56WHr batteries which is around the same amount in regular cheap thin and light laptops. Gaming on the battery will only last 1-2 hours at max
but you are not gonna use a gaming laptop on battery tbh
Got a similar one (i5 12500H instead of the i7) used on ebay for 400$, only detail being the keyboard doesn't work (plugged in an external keyboard and done), and this thing still stands strong. Can run pretty much anything smoothly and streaming goes smooth as well.
Picked one up with an i5 10300h and 8gb of ram for $630 and I’ve yet to use it but I’m really excited to use it!!

I looked at different brands and models Acer, Lenovo legion, Asus ROG & TUF, MSI, Alienware. In the end I chose an MSI G75 thin because of price, but mainly for upgrade capabilities. Got a 2TB NvMe drive, 4TB SSD and 64 GB ram. For some reason when I did the upgrades a week after I got it, the speakers didn't work. I had to send it back to MSI. It's still a mystery why the speakers wouldn't get any sound. It was getting sound through headset and Bluetooth.
ended up buying the 15 inch with the 1650 for 400 used in like new condition. So far im happy with it for my needs it serves me well
this laptop would have been so good if it had a 3060 in it, the sad part is that a 3050ti laptop is not even worth it if you can get a 3060 one because the performance if actually quite alot

I got a Gigabyte G5 GD laptop with i5-11400H CPU, 15.6" 144Hz 1080p, RTX 3050M, and 16GB RAM on sale for $700. Can't build anything even close for that money, and I haven't seen the price that low since.

building your credit is a good thing. the way i see it is if i pay monthly on a gaming laptop and pay alot of intrest its worth spending that extra money to raise my credit score as long as you do everything correctly its not a bad idea.

After watching this channel for a few months i notice that they have been doing reviews for the same laptop multiple times... Especially the victus, ideapad gaming and pavillion.
once developers somehow improve cooling on a gaming laptop to the extent where heat really minimal , i aint touching one.

there is the same exact laptop on walmart (exept its an i5 instead of an i7 and is 15.6 inches) and it only costs 550 before taxes

i bought the 3060 ryzen 5600 version and it only had a single stick of ram ,you didnt mention the ram at all.if you buy one for the love of god if it is single channel ram then fill the second channel it will run faster.

I got the RTX 2060 model and the 6 GB vram is what I think is the " standard " these days
4 GB is fine but limits how good some games can look with good FPS

a few years ago I had a HP omen 17 with a 1050 ti in it and was fine but about 7 months after purchase I wanted to up the graphics setting more and got a MSI with a GTX 1070 ( upgraded to a new laptop this year ) and the improvements really showed
these " budget " models are fine but laptops I think spending more is better if you're able to
though they have their place if you set expectations right
Got the 3050Ti version of this, a 3060 is a ridiculous price in my country, I actually got bullied bc of my GPU, I doubted myself buying it and finding 2060 so bad, but it's really rare to find gaming laptops with 2060. Those bullies act like their elitists, glad I bought it as a good deal because it was the priced the same as 1650, you're right, they should've given it more VRAM, they shouldn't call it a 30 Series GPU if it lacks VRAM, although, I observed that the 3050Ti has similar performance to an RTX 3060 if VRAM isn't important. I'm just grateful to own something to game, but I don't mind if people call me "disgusting" for getting a GPU like this, I only play E-sport titles so that's good. But I'm still sad tho.

I enjoy my 10th gen i5 RTX 3060 15”.
I own the model with a i5 and RTX 2060 ( not going to complain too much with how much I paid and the bonus stuff I got ) however I have to point these " problems " out
the screen is a bit " dim " and is average at best ( needs improving Acer ) and the 8 GB ram just made me go out and buy another 8 GB stick
Aside from those 2 minor " problems " I think it's a fine laptop for the money
could be better but I paid $998 AUD and got a Logitech G512 keyboard and 3 games as a bonus too ( watch dogs legion and 2 other meh games ) but in the games I've played on it they run good
though I'd personally say save up a bit more for a better brand but for the money it's a good option
