The coin
I am in the middle
of something and
I am unsure where it is going
it is dangerous
and unnerving
at the same time…
In the shadow of these stories
I learned from
Jew town
and Cork
and Ireland
and the Catholic Church
and what I thought I heard
I find my mind
plays tricks on me
to protect me
from the fear
the shame
the unknown
death
I am in the middle
of something and
I am unsure where it is going
it is delicious
and unnerving
at the same time…
In the shelter of these stories
I learned from

I find the courage
to go forward
to relish the unknown
