You have a small net inside a larger net. That's the ideal system. I have close neighbors, how do I reduce the cracking sound? Even though I am setting up on my home on a golf course , 100 cracks could be annoying to neighbors.

I've had similar results with some material used in front of, or behind, the net. Though some material does work in front. Maybe READING the instructions would've been a good idea in this case.
@@pvclassic I've found that leaving the bottom loose and unattached works better than all 4 corners attached. I use a piece of cotton canvas that I got from Walmart fabric dept. I had to rewatch this to see what happened. MSG is right, the target does protect the center of the net.
Think you have the target tarp too tight, try not hooking it at the bottom, just letting it hang, it will be able to absorb the hit betteer and should just fall.
Love the net system. What golf mats have you tried such as the Gorilla Perfect Reaction Golf Mat? Looking for durable but able to stand up to irons without breaking your wrist.

Man I love this net however I need something this durable for a portable golf net. It seems all of the nets on Amazon that have a portable setup in the $70-$200 range develop holes after a short while. This is no good for someone who has a swing speed 120 plus.

You're supposed to put the target on the back... It's a NET - you'll be able to see it. God blessed you with great golf skill and coaching ability but problem-solving wasn't in the cards. This net isn't available anymore either. Directions are written by contractors and translated. They are OFTEN wrong. Made from China?
Try locating the target fabric behind the net. The net absorbs much of the impact while it still provides a target.
I don't care for the extra noise, granted it would likely be less noisy on the other side of the netting.

Target schmarget, I can feel when I hit it right and where I hit it on the clubface. The net is just there to keep balls on my property.
How far are you hitting from? Roughly what square footage would you recommend for outdoor backyard range?

Directions do say anything just pictures. But following the steps it clearly goes on after the net.

my cheap net has the same target, same effect of punching holes thru it, that material is totally unsuitable for golf balls.
A great net to use is archery net works so much better for catching golf balls
