Hi Judy, I think we get into a mode of rushing, and being out of sync with the rhythm you get when you are engrossed in something. Its a matter of slowing down and being a bit more bold in the choices you make. Its nothing about loosing your mojo. Its just not really being present. Happened to me today. I had a disaster because my head wasn't truly into it. I was distracted by lifes other problems.....health., parents dementia and fear of loneliness. When i went back, I just took my time and let it happen with more confidence and less negative chatter. I loved the end result and your perseverance. Jo.😊
Thank you for this. It really helps. It is so my process to keep painting over and give up completely so it helps to see others work through this dilemma ❤
Damn! I feel so identified!!! Many times I find the design, the balance and it works, but many other times I start thinking it just wont work, I stop exploring and I go for something "safe" that I´m not that happy with... Thank you so much for sharing, I´ll just keep pushing my next painting and see what happens. Love your stencils by the way. Greetings from Mexico.
It turned out great! Thanks for sharing the process with us. I need that bit of a boost to sort out some small abstracts I'm working on but just not feeling anything for.
I am a little confused. Is your sketchbook collage work an actual part of the finished painting or separate, used as reference? I LOVE your work, design and color palettes!

Used as a reference - practice. A place for me to explore ideas quickly.
