Thank you, Louise! I very much needed this..I’ve surrendered so deeply to b&w, I’m almost afraid now of color. 🌸 However, I’m a lover of pink!

Very nice demo. Great job explaining how a cool vs warm red can influence the kind of pink you get. I paint in oils with a limited palette and my warm and cool reds are Quinacridone Red and Permanent Alizarin Crimson. They're perfect for the kind of work I do although I've tried many other colors over the years. Color is such an intriguing part of being a painter! Thanks for the video!

Nothing is more fun than your color videos. Thanks for doing pink! Viridian green was my choice of neutralizer Quite a bit of fun.
    Looking forward to July 3

Hi Louise...youre always an inspiration to me...however as a retired art tutor can i add extra facts about mixing with reds in acrylics or oils.... to help your students or anyone whos reading these comments. If its 'pink' pinks you want its 'cool' reds ( ones that lean towards blues) that work best with white......warm reds lean towards yellow which will normally make them look more orange/peachy.
Also, students who were new to watercolour didnt know how to make pink...well any cool red but you just add more water to make a paler mix.If you think you need to add white( and watercolour palettes may contain this) the watercolour becomes opaque. Hope this is useful.

Hi Louise, just wanted to say thank you for these brilliant colour mixing videos. I’ve just completed a busy few weeks and hospital treatment on my back and need to rest. Your videos are so inspiring yet soothing…can’t get enough of them and all these yummy colours! Thank you!!! So excited to get back in the studio and do some colour mixing! 🥰🥰🥰
Ps I also noticed that the video was smeary as if the lens needed cleaning.

Thank you for these color mixing videos! I have a quesgtion about your pallette. Is it a wet tea towel under the parchment? Is that to keep the paints from drying out and how long will they stay wet if you set it up like this?

So no need to buy a pink. Instead, buy 12 different reds.

I like your video about pink but... You say you need the primaries but you don't list the paints you are using. I don't know red light, red medium or red dark but I know cadmium, naphthol, and crimson. I just bought a tube of fluorescent pink and I know you can't mix that! I don't know why you didn't use the complimentary color green to desaturate the colors. Black has a natural blue undertone so I don't agree with that choice.

Art2Life is a private label sold by another teaching artist. He needs to name his colors by their true hues so beginners don’t have to buy his paint and the rest of us can follow Louise. Light red: which one? Napthol? Cadmium? Crimson…?

I’ve stopped using the word “pink” and have started calling it “light red.” It really confuses people. 😂

Hi Louise! Haven't watched more than the intro yet, but wanted to give you a heads up. It might be the lighting in that particular moment, but it appears your camera lense could be in dire need of a cleaning? Your lovely face is unclear & seems to get a bit fuzzier with every intro..
