Wow! …. I’m not even a painter but I found your video so intriguing! I make junk journals and do a little bit of drawling but I just really learned a lot from watching your video about color. You’re an amazing teacher thank you for posting this
Wow! Just an amazing video! Thanks so much for the great demo and detailed explanation. New subscriber! I wish you much success in your career. Blessings and take care. I would love to see you painting a white rose, since white is not really white in a rose. Thanks so much!
Learn how to mix beautiful neutral greys by using a handful of colours. Let's keep things simple! No browns, no black, just the main colours! Enjoy! And leave a comment below sharing with us how you mix neutral greys and ask questions too! Thanks! Happy painting!
Thank you for showing us step by step and offering great tips along the way! For example, using a more red leaning orange to complement a green leaning blue such as your Pthalo Blue. There is a lightness in your approach that encourages a pleasant experience. I enjoyed mixing some evenly balanced grey that I then tinted. Then tried some that leaned blue. It was fun and I'm pleased at the results I have created to paint a "white" shirt.
I know you spent a lot of time on the foreground flowers, but the background was what made me swoon. Livia, you are so talented. Thank you so much. I am a watercolor artist.. can this principle be used for watercolor with just adding water substiting for white?
Eh….dont you ser that t Your colors arent fullt grey? This wasnt very helpfull. I was trying to find out How to mix a full range value-neutrals. To make a greyscale painting or ex graisille underpainting But you just showed How to make a fee somewhat grey with a little blue orange red tint x)
That was the clearest explanation of colour I have seen. Thank you, made so much sense!

Thanks, Lisa! Yep, you can use the same principle for watercolour indeed! Just add water and the colours will be less saturated.
Excellent teaching 👌
