Thank you for sharing this, Judy! You showed me this before, with your video prepping large panels…and I’ve adopted enjoying black gesso in my prepping..almost always now! I just love it! I wish I can join your retreat in 2025….sounds delicious!🎨
Using this wonderful video to encourage me to work in layers and not consider anything too precious. (Hard for me!) Can you tell me what that wide scraper is that you initially use to put on a white layer? Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this great info for getting started. Can I ask about the second panels used? Are they MDF? Do you frame them inside a box frame? You can tell I'm a beginner by the questions! 😀😀
Using your opposite hand as you do creates some interesting shapes.
Love this!
Love the idea of including the prep stage as part of the actual design and process!
yes, you start the painting without even trying...
I'm just so inspired by your work, Judy!!! You've really given us such a gift. You're fantastic at teaching!
Wow, thank you!

This is wonderful. Gonna work on it today - I really needed this to jumpstart a lazy brain 😳😊

Yes, they are MDF - but I've had oak box frames made.
