Right now I’m searching for a good price on the Royals. If I can’t find the OG, I’ll cop the Golf again and review those.
I also picked up the golf version because of course I took a L on the lifestyle version. Was able to picked up the women version lifestyle for my daughter for her upcoming birthday. Great review fam. Cheers. ✌️

I was able to cop, a pair of the golfs and I love them! I put some of my friends on to the golf but they were hypnotized by hype and paid over retail for the big bubble
“Hypnotized by Hype” is GOLDEN! So very true.
I got em in the 25 anniversary and couldn’t get that OG navy color OG style so I cop the golf. They came love the look but wasn’t sure bc of the golf style took them to the Nike store to return them and couldn’t bc they look so similar to the originals so I kept them lolol thank god I didn’t return them. Love love the water proof mesh bc they so hard to clean. I normally do. 9.5 in OG but these fit me perfect in 9 I wanted that snug fit
Yo that’s wild you almost got rid of them, but even Nike was like “nah, can’t do it… too similar.” Wow! YeAh the waterproofing is clutch because that OG mesh NEVER comes clean!
Got the lifestyle version and now I wish I got the golf version for the materials😂
Seriously. I lucked out because these have 100% of the look and tougher materials. Had. It one person tell the difference all week. Still jealous you got the lifestyles though. 😆

I got the Golf as well, my only knock is that they are a little snug like you said, Im thinking about sending them back for a half size bigger, with Nike socks, its a really really tight fit
I does loosen with wear, but they are tight.

That waterproofing is gna make that mess crease and look really bad quick. I also don’t think there is any leather on these. I thought it was all synthetic. Could be wrong
Nubuck is synthetic suede. It’s all synthetic. The originals were synthetic. I disagree on the waterproofing, but creasing is a byproduct of walking naturally. Not a bother for some.
@@RDQLUSmust agree with you brethren, even the “regular “ air max do crease non the less to say gets dirty quicker than the golf since it’s waterproof 👍🏽

What’s the sizing of this golf edition? I wear us10 air force 1/ultraboost and I have a slightly wide feet
The length is true but they are narrow. If you need width go half up
Is wearing the golf version as comfortable as the normal version to wear on a daily basis
I find them as comfortable. The air unit is as long but not as tall so there could be a bit more squish in the heel of the normal ones. And because of the waterproofing, the Golf OG doesn’t breath as well.
But for the look and feel, you wouldn’t know unless you knew. Haha

That’s a very good question. The Golf line typically is more limited, but there was no hype around them even though they are identical. So, not sure. But scoop another pair just in case haha
@@RDQLUS I was disappointed at first as this is my first expensive purchase £152.00 in the UK. But after watching your video I’m happy with my purchase I’m not buying them to sell on I’m buying them to wear and enjoy plus I was born in 1986 😝

Just seem far too big and the laces had a pink hue to them.

I do believe it’s nubuck. Felt is durable but actually water absorbing (like most shammies) so it wouldn’t stand a chance in places where you’d need water resistance + durability. Nubuck is already a faux suede so there wouldn’t be a need to avoid using it. But I’ll double check some sources…
No disrespect, but the golf version is NOT the O.G.. When you said big window vs big bubble. Golf versions are big window. O.G. versions are big bubble. The reason you may not have been able to find the ACTUAL O.G. is because they only produced 1,986 pairs in honor of the year they were originally produced. I own the actual O.G. and there's alot more differences like the big window versus big bubble. Took an act of congress to get mine. I really hope your able to cop a pair of the actual O.G. The resale value is gonna be phenomenal. Even though I'm NEVER selling mine, (though i guess we all have a price, but the price will be UP THERE....like UP there!!!)
And mine are stocked...and BARELY rocked. Worn once for on foot review. Good luck copping the actual O.G. Have a nice day.
Interesting. Thanks for the extra information. You are right, the “big bubble” vs. “big window” seems to be the difference, but Nike, Flight Club, GOAT and more are listing them all as “OG Big Bubble” with the main distinction being “Golf” and waterproofing-the dishonesty in advertising doesn’t surprise me much, because they want units to move and even the Golf sold out shortly after. I’d want to see them side by side to confirm some of that firsthand, even if only in high quality photos. I did mention the “Big Window” version of the Air Max which was basically an AM 2 prior to the AM 90 (original color was black & Persian violet), but even that was the 3-gap bubble and a slightly bigger window.
I doubt I’ll get my hands on the OG BB because even as a footwear lover, some things just don’t make sense to me. But I’ll keep an eye out. Appreciate the comment with the great info!
Big bubble vs big window... their the same EXACT length, the bubble is just significantly wider than the window. May be a golf thing, like the waterproofing, and sole. I don't play golf, so I couldn't, in a million years, tell you why their different. But your right about Nikes marketing.
@@terryhand4533 thanks to your comment, I did some research. It’s a stability thing. The windows are the same length, but the taller window is significantly less stable-much more “squish” factor for putting that air bag comfort to work. In golf, you can’t have that much play at the heel and ankle because that’s the base of your power in the swing.
PS: I found a few sources for legit pairs of OG Big Bubble, so I’m going to negotiate price and then do a follow-up. Appreciate ya! 👊🏾🤙🏾

@@RDQLUS no seriously..Sneaker heads usually don’t know shit about textiles and materials so we buy these kits and we get advice from Cats that don’t even watch their own clothes. Unless u have suede, ALL shoes are washable. My off-white presto‘s Were getting yellow, foam and all. Washed them they look and smell new. Didn’t ruin them in the least. Did the same thing with my off white jordan Chicagos that people are SOO afraid to wash that the toebox look like someone shit on them. Not mine! Used a brush for the sole, threw them in a garment bag with some clean and people think the’re fake cuz they look so good. Just sayin
@@2009kdizzle very true, not a lot of heads know textiles and such. And too many people treat shoes as “precious”-they are meant to be rocked, and they sit between your feet and the ground! Haha What do people expect?!

I have a huge collection, lots of typical hyped kicks included-and a story for how each and every pair came to be in it. But the hype is boring to me, I have original and first round retros of things that are old now, and heads stay talking about the same stuff as if they’re the only ones who has things. Haha.
